WWE Evolve 10/8/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwe-evolve-1012025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwe-evolve-succession-10152025.html

Pete Rosenberg and Robert Stone are on commentary.

Stevie Turner says Keanu Carver was injured during the attack from Bryce Donovan and is unable to compete at Succession. Stevie says she will find a suitable replacement.

Thoughts: This tells me Jackson Drake is winning at Succession and they didn't want Keanu Carver to lose.

Chuey Martinez is in the ring. He talks about Succession next week. He then brings out Kendal Grey and Kali Armstrong.

KG says Kali thinks she is so bad@ss with what she did to Carlee last week. She says it was effective but it showed KG something different. She says she's going to break Kali and take her title. Kali says she should do whatever she has to in order to make her feel better and tells her to bring her A-game to Succession. She says she beat Carlee down because she could. She says Carlee is sunshine and bubbles but that doesn't belong in the ring with her. She says she taught Carlee something that KG always knew. She says no matter how good they might be, they aren't as good as her.

KG says this is nothing she hasn't heard before. She says she's still fighting and talks about her amateur wrestling history. She says she will be the girl to tap her out. Kali says if they are talking resumes, she's a three time All-American, a world record holder in the sprint relay and says she's undefeated in singles action. She says she comes from the struggle in Inglewood, CA. She says she's one of 8 kids and was born with drugs in her system. She said she almost didn't make it but she did as that's what winners do. She says the last words she will hear are "and still women's champ, Kali Armstrong". They shake hands and KG says may the best woman win. Kali says she intends to and KG says until she gets caught in her armbar.

Thoughts: It was a solid segment here and it was simple.

Tate Wilder is interviewed. He says Edris Enofe is one heck of an athlete. He said he showed what it takes to make it on Evolve and WWE. He says he wants a shot on Succession like others. He then gets nailed by Brooks Jensen from behind. Officials then break it up.

It's GAL vs Dante Chen

They lock up. Gal backs him up on the ropes and poses. He then shoves him. DC side headlock takeovers him. Gal headscissors him and waistlock takedowns him. Gal then does push-up's on DC. DC armlocks him. DC is caught in mid-air and Gal squats him. Gal poses and tries to get DC to do it too. Gal tries to kick him but is caught. DC then punches him down and poses.

DC hits a nice dropkick then back body drops him. Gal then goes out to stall. Gal double throat thrusts him. DC lariats him in the ring. DC springboard chops him. Gal throws him then spinning lariats him for 2.

Gal hits corner lariats and facekicks him. Gal comes off the 2nd rope and runs into an atomic drop. Gal misses a legdrop and DC rolls him up for 2. DC hits some punches and atomic drops him. DC euros and lariats him. DC does a side uranage and kicks Gal out. DC topes him.

Gal corner euros DC then hits more euros. Gal hits mounted corner punches. He poses on the 2nd rope and is powerbombed down. DC double chops him and wins.

Thoughts: I liked it. DC showed some personality here and Gal was entertaining with his cockiness. It was one of the better matches both have had.

High Ryze are interviewed minus Wes. Igwe says they will show Evolve what they are about. Igwe says they have the greatest former N-A champ leading them and they know what's expected of them. Igwe says they will prove a point.

The Vanity Project talk in the back. Drake says everything is going well and he wants to give them a status of his likeness for it. Brad says let's get serious. He says it feels like Stevie is messing with the champ by not saying who his challenger will be. Smokes mocks some of the wrestlers. Drake says they know Stevie will wait until the last minute. Drake says let's give Bryce credit as the problem solver took out a problem for once. The Project walk off and Bryce looks at them before following.

Marcus Mathers and Aaron Rourke vs The High Ryze (Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe)

Wes Lee comes up with The High Ryze.

AR and Igwe lock up. AR is pushed down. Igwe hits corner spears. AR slaps him in the butt twice. AR flying headscissors him. Igwe is tripped into a basement dropkick.

MM jumping back kicks Igwe. Igwe catches MM's 2nd rope crossbody. MM's neck is pulled down over the top rope and Igwe boots him in the face. TD stomps on MM. Igwe corner spears MM.

MM takes a double forearm. TD side headlocks MM then corner splashes him. Igwe swinging side slams MM for 2. Igwe misses a corner spear and AR tags in. Stone wonders when we are getting Evolve tag titles. AR leg lariats Igwe.

AR top rope diving meteora's Igwe for 2. AR sends the heels out. AR and MM do stereo topes outside.  MM 2nd rope diving stunners Igwe then AR does a molly-go-round on Igwe. MM superkicks TD out. MM's plancha is caught outside and he is dropped face first on the apron. AR PK's TD. AR misses a corkscrew splash off the top then takes a running boot from Igwe. AR takes a backdrop + jumping press combo and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a fun match here with the heels doing a lot of boots to the face and spear and the faces doing some high flying and fast paced offense. It was what it needed to be and I liked it.

Harley Riggins and Jax Presley go up to Stevie Turner. They complain about Adrenaline Drip and want a rematch with them. Stevie asks why since they mocked them. HR asks if the WWE wants the rematch of rematches. Jax says if Stone was GM, he would grant the match. Stevie agrees and says Adrenaline Drip deserve to prove their win wasn't a fluke. Harley says sorry about the Stone comment.

Nikkita Lyons vs Wendy Choo

NL backs her up in the corner and shoves her head. Choo armdrags her and crawls at her. Choo side headlocks her then takes her over. NL headscissors her. Choo headstands out, meow's at her and side headlocks her. Choo crucifixes her and dropkicks her.

Choo double throat thrusts her and low flatliners her. Choo back splashes her for 2. Choo running forearms her in the corner. NL drops her face first on the buckles. NL spin kicks her in the gut, sending her out.

NL rams her back first into the apron edge. NL sits on her on the 2nd rope and moves the ropes up and down. NL does a bronco buster stinkface. NL hip attacks her in the gut then suplexes her for 2.

NL sits on her back with a chinlock and butt drops Choo's back. NL tries it again and is hit in the crotch. Choo hits kicks and double chops. Choo hits a polish hammer then headscissors her.

Choo cartwheel forearms her in the corner and corner facekicks her. Choo 2nd rope crossbodies her for 2. Choo casadora rolls her for 2. NL kicks her in the gut then tiger drivers her for 2. Choo goes for a dirtnap and is rammed into the corner. Choo's 2nd rope crossbody is caught and she is slammed down. NL misses a vader bomb. Choo rolls her into a grounded dirtnap. NL then submits.

Thoughts: It probably should have been better than it was with how much experience they have. It was okay just not great. This was basically a heel vs heel match here. NL had an okay showing and is putting together a new style in the ring with less kicks.

Brooks Jensen does a promo. He says Tate Wilder represents the reason why he hates Evolve. He says he thinks about why he has been screwed by the Evolve Title while Tate thinks he should be on the biggest Evolve show in history. He says Tate gets one win and thinks he deserves the spotlight. He says it's not only inexperience but also stupidity talking. Brooks says Succession should be his showcase. He says next week they will have a match and he says they all know what happened last time. He says he won in convincing fashion then and says it'll get worse for him next week as they will have a bullrope match.

The Vanity Project come out with the Evolve Title and a contract in the ring. Drake says Stevie is the #1 Vanity Project hater and will make him wait until the last second to find out his challenger for Succession. He asks who he has got.

Sean Legacy comes out. Sean says him and Drake have been rivals since the first episode of Evolve. He says Vanity Project made his life a living hell. He says he can't think of a better way to get his revenge than by taking the biggest prize he has at their biggest show. He says when he beats Drake, he will give Keanu a shot. Edris Enofe then jumps Sean from behind and stomps on him. Sean is dropped throat first on the rails. Enofe chokes him and sends him into the entrance video wall. Security then comes out to stop it and officials check on Sean.

Drake says, "d@mn that sucks, bye Sean". Smokes says Sean couldn't get to the ring, how will he take the title from Drake? Brad says hundos and Drake says it's bitcoins as they look like a million bucks. Drake says there is no next challenger. He says instead of defending his title, they will have a Vanity Project Appreciation Night. He says they will throw the biggest party Evolve has ever seen.

Drake puts over his partners but forgets to mention Bryce Donovan. Bryce then grabs the contract. Drake says he's blocking his camera shot. Bryce tells him to shut the hell up. Bryce says he's been waiting a long time to say they are the worst human beings he has ever met in his entire life. He says he's done standing in the background and the shadow of Drake's ego. He says Drake wants to call him the weak link, that's fine. He says he can solve his own problems as he is done with The Vanity Project. He says he will be the new WWE Evolve champ at Succession.

Bryce then nails Smokes and Brad. He sends both over the top and chokeslams Drake through the table. Bryce then signs the contract and throws it onto Drake.

Thoughts: It was a good angle here. Bryce has been slowly drifting away from the group and they finally did the turn here. The crowd liked it and everyone did what they were supposed to do. The question is will Bryce win though next week?

Overall thoughts
: It took about half a year but I think Evolve is finally getting in the groove and getting the core of the show together. This was a good show. They built up Succession well and got me hyped for it. They also did a big turn here with Bryce Donovan finally splitting from his group after weeks of tension. We had some good angles and some solid wrestling. It was one of Evolve's better episodes and I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
