WWE Evolve 10/1/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-evolve-9242025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwe-evolve-10822025.html

Note - Edris Enofe quit WWE this week, so we won't be seeing him at the next set of tapings. He's been around for a while and hasn't really made much progress, so I can understand why he left. He was best when he teamed with Blade. I didn't find him very interesting as a singles worker.

Adrenaline Drip (Jack Cartwheel and Cappuccino Jones) vs Jax Presley and Harley Riggins

Jax's team does an inset promo. He says he gets the jealousy when they see two blue chip dogs. Har says they wanted this rematch. They said they don't drive thousands of miles and sleep on floors as stars don't do that. They say indy workers do it.

Jax clubs on CJ and side headlocks him. Har pushes CJ into Jax on accident. Jack gets in and he hits a double dropkick with CJ on Har. Har is double lariated over the top. Jack flying headscissors Har then armdrags him after bouncing off the ropes.

Har goes down and holds his knee. Jax checks on Har. Jax gets behind the faces then nails them. Har then facekicks Jack. Har stomps on Jack. Jack is stomped on by the heels in the corner then he is hit with a double shoulder for 2.

Jax hits punches on Jack. Jax slams him for 2. Har backcrackers Jack then chokes him on the ropes. Har pulls Jack's arms back then misses an elbow drop on him. CJ is tagged in. He hits shots on the heels and dropkicks Jax. CJ springboard back elbows Jax.

CJ corner lariats Jax then top rope crossbodies him. Jax takes a superkick into a dragon suplex. Har TKO's CJ then Jack top rope corkscrew moonsaults Har. Jax backbreakers Jack on his knee. Jack bulldogs Jax. Har is sent into the post. Jack flying space tigers Har outside then cartwheel back elbows Jax in the corner.

Jax takes a flatliner + top rope diving flipping cutter. CJ then pins Jax.

Thoughts: The heels won last time so the faces got their win back. Their last battle was a bit better but there was nothing wrong with this. The Drip have some new tag team moves and their flatliner + cutter move is pretty unique. I like Harley faking an injury here. I liked this one overall.

Tate Wilder is interviewed in the locker room. He says Chuey has a job to do and so does he. He says he's ready for the challenge vs Enofe tonight. He says he has to right the first wrong in his Evolve journey vs Enofe to get to Ridge. He says he can't lose to him again. Sean Legacy comes in. He tells Tate to focus on his opponent tonight and not worry about Ridge. Sean says Enofe is arrogant but he's tough with a chip on his shoulder.

The Vanity Project of Zayda, Drake and Bryce talk in the back. Drake says he's the Evolve champ and Bryce is the weak stock. He says Bryce needs to lock in. Bryce says he's been doing everything for The Project. He says Drake talks to him like a child. Bryce says he knows what he needs to do and what he's going to do. Drake says this is the Bryce he's been looking for. He says The Project has a problem and asks who will solve it. Bryce says he will and shoves him. Drake then tells Zayda he just needed to get Bryce motivated.

Edris Enofe vs Tate Wilder

EE has an exaggerated entrance with a lot of posing. EE back elbows and boots him. EE pounds and boots on him in the corner. EE misses a corner charge. Tate's throat is pulled down over the top rope.

EE hits a crossface shot on the outside on him. Tate facekicks him outside then wraparound kicks him on the post. Tate 2nd rope twisting crossbodies but lands on EE's double knees. EE hits mounted punches on Tate.

EE hits short arm lariats for 2. Tate hits shots to the gut. EE grounded sleepers him. Tate backdrops him. Tate hits punches on EE then running lariats him. EE dropkicks him then backcrackers him for 2.

EE takes the top buckle off. EE grabs a chair outside. Sean Legacy comes out and takes the chair from EE. Tate does a hard top rope dive on EE, splashing him into the floor. Tate hits some shots in the ring and flying shoulders him. EE rolls him up for 2. Tate twisting suplexes him. Tate top rope moonsaults him for the win.

Thoughts: If EE hadn't announced he was done with WWE this week, I would have been surprised by this. EE has been pushed much harder and is higher up on the totem pole yet he lost here. It's a good win for Tate but maybe a little too soon. Tate does the right stuff but he is a bit generic and needs to fix that somehow. The match was about average and EE didn't really impress with the offense he got in.

Diggs, Holiday and Choo talk in the back. Choo got rid of her Evil look. Holiday says she likes the new look. Diggs wants her to do tiktok videos with them. Nikkita Lyons comes in. She says she liked it when Choo didn't talk and says her voice makes her ears bleed. Choo says, "what a b!tch!".

Kali Armstrong vs Carlee Bright

They lock up. Kali blocks a headlock takeover and throws her down backwards. CB gets out of a top wristlock then wristlocks her. CB knees her in the gut, walks up the ropes and diving armdrags her. CB is lifted for a backdrop but she does a headlock takeover off of it. CB has the side headlock on and Kali throws her out.

CB hits a running corner spear then does another. Kali powerslams her for 2. Kali throws her out. Kali hits elbow drops then totally misses one (she wasn't close). Kali misses a corner spear and goes into the post. CB hits some shots and flying headscissors her.

CB cartwheels into a headscissors on her. CB then does a tornado bulldog for 2. CB is caught off the top and she cradles Kali out of it for 2. Kali powerslams her. Kali runs the ropes and running shoulders her over. Kali stares down Kendal Grey at ringside. Kali hits another running shoulder and CB backflips for it. Kali wins.

Thoughts
: It was an okay match here. CB was the clear underdog and worked as such. Kali hit some nice corner spears here. I liked CB's flip bump for the finish.

We get a video on Brooks Jensen. He says tonight is the moment he has waited for since he stepped into the PC. He says he's 3 seconds away from earning a singles title opportunity. He says the beast Keanu Carver stands in his way. He says KC has rage in him but so does he. He says he's been a tag champ, lost his friends, been kicked out of the cult and still picked himself up. He said he just wanted an opportunity. He says he will kick the hinges off the door of opportunity and says he will see Jackson Drake at Succession.

We get a video on WWE ID.

It's Gal, Drako Knox, Shady (he's a new Egyptian Olympian who hasn't debuted on TV) and Braxton Cole are in the locker room. Gal says he doesn't want to fall behind and is different. Dante Chen walks in. He says Gal will bounce back and it's ups and downs. Gal says maybe for him but for Gal it's always up. Chen says instead of helping him, he should put him next to Jamar Hampton in the hospital. Gal says it's rude and says it's kicking a man while he's down.

#1 Contender's Match - Keanu Carver vs Brooks Jensen

They lock up and let go. KC throws him off of him. BJ top wristlocks him and KC shoulders him over. BJ is caught coming off the buckles. BJ hits euros and forearms. KC slams him. BJ upkicks him. KC slams him. BJ takes a back body drop then a samoan drop for 2.

We see The Vanity Project in the back. Drake says it could go anywhere and asks if Bryce has this. Drake wants to see if he can get it done. BJ hits forearms on KC. KC hits back elbows. KC goes shoulder first into the post.

We go to break and return. KC hits forearms. BJ 2nd rope knee drops KC's arm. KC top wristlock takedowns him for 1. BJ armlocks him. KC hits forearms then is pulled into the buckles shoulder first. BJ 2nd rope knee drops KC's arm for 2.

KC hits forearms and BJ is sent into the post shoulder first. KC forearms him down then fallaway slams him. KC pop-up samoan drops him for 2. BJ hits a big lariat for 2. BJ hits a short arm lariat. BJ 2nd rope legdrops him for 2. BJ hits chest kicks then backdrops him. KC pounces BJ over the top rope. KC hits an enka otoshi variation and gets the win.

Thoughts
: BJ worked the arm the whole time here before going down as expected. It was about average. Armwork works as a story but it's not always the most exciting. KC didn't get a ton of offense in. The finishing stretch wasn't super exciting.

Bryce Donovan comes out and chairs KC after. Bryce stomps KC's arm into a chair. The Vanity Project come out and celebrate. Drake talks trash. Drake tries to shake Bryce's hand after. Bryce hesitates but does it.

Overall thoughts: It was an okay episode of Evolve. The opener was the best thing on here. Kali/Bright was the second best match but it was more one sided. The main was acceptable but not super exciting and Enofe/Tate was average. Wendy Choo is going in a new direction and I feel like the show is settling into a formula. We are 2 weeks away from Succession and the big matches are set. I'd give this a 6 out of 10. It was fine and they did what they were supposed to on this one.
