TNA Impact 10/9/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/tna-impact-1022025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/tna-impact-10162025-after-glory.html

Trick Williams comes out to talk. He asks if we feel the electricity and energy and says they will have the same energy at the PPV. He says it's the energy only he can bring. He says Mike Santana is a fighter. He says this will never be called TNA again but only Trick-N-A.

Mike Santana comes out through the crowd. He says Trick hasn't fought through the same battles he has. He talks about seeing his dad in the morgue and explaining to his daughter that we an addict. Trick says after he beats Mike, he will be bound for rehab.

He says Mike can't handle the truth that Trick is better than him. Mike says he sees fear in Trick's eyes and a pretender. He says he sees a one trick pony. Mike says he will make Trick bound for developmental at the PPV as he's walking out world champ.

Thoughts:
It was an entertaining segment with them getting in nice digs at each other.

Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford do a promo. Tessa talks about her and Gia going to the same training school. She says Gia couldn't cut it and followed her. Gia says she followed her advice but that's it. Tessa rips her for going to Mike Jackson's school and Gia is happy about getting trained there. Tessa tells her not to do this to herself and says it's pathetic. Gia says she's not pathetic and said Tessa had to wrestle in another country as she burned every bridge. Tessa says she couldn't wrestle and had to become an announcer.

Ryan Nemeth vs Matt Cardona

Matt gets the first shots in. Matt facebusters Ryan then lariats him over the top. Matt dropkicks him through the ropes. Matt is then dropkicked off the apron. Ryan neckbreakers Matt on the floor. Matt is choked on the ropes by Ryan and Nic. Ryan goes for a splash and Matt gets his knees up. Matt misses a dropkick off the ropes.

Matt back elbows him out of the corner then is hit in the throat on the buckles. Matt then 2nd rope dropkicks him. Matt hits forearms and Nic trips Matt. The ref sees it and ejects Nic. Ryan complains to the ref and Matt hits radio silence for the win.

Thoughts: It was short and filled with shenanigans here. It wasn't much and it felt like the Nic ejection took about 1/4th of the match to complete.

The Rascals are in the clubhouse. Wentz has tape around his head and jaw and he blames his buddies for it He accuses him of betraying him. Zack says he forgives Trey and Myron for the superkicks and then they smoke. Trey says the PPV is coming up and they don't have a match. Wentz says their contracts are coming up at the end of the year. Trey says they gotta talk to Santino to try and get on the show. Wentz is afraid of Santino's cobra. Trey says they charmed him before and can do it again.

We get a video on Mara Sade. She says she saw familiar faces and HOF'ers on her first day in TNA. She said she saw Jazz and says that was the first action figure she had. She says she sees a lot of competitors here. She said she would have never believed that she got lariated by a 6'4 man. She then talks about The Hardy's saving her and her doing her first moonsault. She talks about growing up in a hard single parent household.

She says she wants to inspire little girls who are struggling and have no hope. She says she's here to tell them that they can become anything they want. She says she wants to be the big sis to motivate them.

Mustafa Ali vs JDC

JDC side headlocks him after a boot. Ali reverses it then shoulders him over. JDC hiptosses and atomic drops him. JDC punches him and Ali goes out. JDC chops him in the ring then back body drops him. JDC powerslams him for 2.

JDC is tripped into the buckles. Ali chops him. Ali goes for the springboard but is dropkicked down. Ali then topes him. We go to break and return.

Ali is sent into the 2nd buckle face first. JDC chops him then hits running euros. JDC russian legsweeps him. JDC falcon arrows him for 2. Ali's guards come out to help him then JDC flip dives onto all of them. Order 4 and The System all start fighting. Alisha and Tasha fight in the ring then roll out. Agent Zero beats up The System and drops JDC back first on the apron edge. Ali 450's JDC off the top and wins.

Thoughts: It was short but entertaining. Ali took his usual nice face bump into the 2nd rope. JDC did a dive outside and we got all kinds of chaos outside with everyone fighting.

Order 4 pose in the ring after and The System go after them.

TNA Injury Report

Team 3D are cleared. Mara Sade is cleared. The Iinspiration are cleared. Elijah is still out.

We see clips from NXT/TNA Showdown

Santino Marella comes out for the TNA Knockouts Title contract signing at Bound For Glory. He can't pronounce Massachusetts. Indi Hartwell and Kelani Jordan come out. George Iceman interrupts. George says what happened to The Elegance Brand last week was disgusting. He says he's invoking the rematch clause for Bound For Glory. He makes Santino sign in.

Indi says her goal as a kid was to be a TNA Knockout and Knockout's champ. She said she had the figures and DVD's. She said she moved half across the world and missed weddings, birthdays and funerals. She says it's hard not to feel bitter.

Kelani says she understands but she's not here to bash TNA. She says she wants to elevate the title. She said she saw an opportunity and took it. Kelani says Indi took her under her wing 3 years ago. She says she's not the same Kelani she was then. She says they will put things aside at BFG as she will do whatever it takes to keep the title.

Indi says her family is flying 21 hours to see her win. She says she's not letting the fans or TNA down. Kelani tells her to bring the same passion to BFG. They sign the contracts and Santino says the match is official.

We get a video on The Hardy's vs Dudley's match at BFG. Bubba says The Dudley's are the greatest team of all time. Devon says his older kids know what is going on but his younger kids don't. Jeff Hardy's daughter talks about seeing Jeff win a ladder match. Jeff says his daughters are the female version of him.

Leon Slater comes out to talk. He says this year has been the best year of his life. He says he never felt good enough and he never fit in when he was a kid until he found TNA. He says he's on a roll. He said he's an honorary Hardy, he main evented PPV's and he's the youngest X-Division champ of all time. He says he has a chance to carry on the legacy of the X-Division like with Sabin, Shelly and AJ. He says his title is proof that he is good enough. He says this is his chance to be remembered and says Je'Von Evans is crazy if he thinks he will take it from him. He says his night will end with him being announced as still being champion.

No DQ Match - Eric Young vs Joe Hendry

Joe has white pants on for this. Joe throws EY out to start. He chases him around the ring and EY clubs him. Joe euros him and knocks him off the apron. Joe hits him in the head with a trash can.

Joe is sent into the post. Joe is clubbed while laying on the apron then he is hit with a trash can. EY chokes him with a chain. EY punches the post with a chain when Joe moves. Joe chops him then Joe is sent into the steps. Joe back body drops EY off the steps onto the floor.

We go to break and return. Joe back body drops EY on the stage. They fight in the stands. Joe is sent into a rail and punches. EY is sent into a trash can. EY is busted open a little. They go back down to the floor and EY is sent over the rail.

EY chairs him in the ring. EY is thrown head first into a chair between the buckles. Joe hits EY with a cookie sheet then claps him with it. Joe fallaway slams him. EY eye rakes him and sends him into the 2nd buckle. Joe olympic slams him on a chair.

EY low blows him then piledrivers him on a chair. EY then wins.

Thoughts: I'm not even surprised at this pint. Joe's probably leaving TNA within a few months and TNA isn't letting him win because of it. It was your usual hardcore match. It was fine for what it was but it wasn't super memorable. I thought for sure Joe would bleed but he didn't here. They brawled around the arena a bit, used some cookie sheets and chairs before going home.

We get a Mike Santana video with him walking around like a warehouse and looking at past Latino wrestlers in TNA. He reads a letter from Konnan with Konnan saying this is the culmination of his hard work. They get into ethno-nationalist stuff. Konan says to go down the path where there is no trail and says Santana's time has come.

Overall thoughts: It was the go home show for BFG and I think tapings wise, they ran short of either time or talent for this. We only had 3 matches and the main was the only thing that got any time. There were a ton of people not on this show and they pretty much mailed this in. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 as it was a very bare bones edition of Impact that you could easily skip.
