Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-evolve-932025.html
Note - The timing of this episode is weird as Ice Williams and Jordan Oasis were released from WWEID this week.
Kendal Grey vs Wendy Choo
They lock up and roll on the ropes. Choo armdrags her. KG waistlock takedowns her. Choo back elbows her then side headlock takeovers her. Choo handstands out of it and KG side headlocks her.
KG fireman's carry takeovers her. Choo hits her in the corner then KG 2nd rope twisting crossbodies her. KG trips her then basement dropkicks her. KG is over the 2nd rope and gets knee'd. Choo spinning neckbreakers her. We go to break and return.
KG is in tree of woe and Choo basement dropkicks her for 2. Choo chokes her on the ropes. Choo snapmares her then twists her neck with her feet. Choo handspring forearms her then running facekicks her for 2.
They double clothesline each other. They trade shots on their knees. KG short arm clotheslines her and back elbows her. KG hits a hard flying back elbow. KG trips her then slingshot double stomps her. KG ddt's her for 2. Choo superplexes her then suplexes her for 2.
KG hits her gutwrench powerslam then does an armbar. KG comes off the buckles and is uranage'd. Choo does her dirtnap to her but KG rolls over and ends up pinning her while Choo keeps the hold on.
Thoughts: They really tried to have a great match here without any particular story in the match. KG go the surprise upset here. They did what they were supposed to and the moves were fine but I don't think it was quite as good as it appears to be.
Ice Williams does a promo. He said they gave Sean Legacy 6 months to see if he could be the face of WWEID. He says he doesn't have the game like he does. He says he's been watching others make their move while he's been dominating in Las Vegas. He says Sean is in his world now. He says if he has a problem, let's step up and rumble. He says he will crack 'em, pack 'em and put them in the freezer. He says he's the coldest on the planet.
Brooks Jensen vs Jordan Oasis
They lock up and let go. BJ hits him in the corner and bangs his arm off his shoulder. BJ armlocks him. JO knocks him down with punches then euros the arm. JO slams and sentons him.
JO hits chops in the corner. BJ is whipped into the corner and goes out over the top. JO then topes him. BJ pulls JO's arm into the post. JO's arm is banged off the post and we go to break.
BJ gets a 2 count on JO then he armlocks him. JO is pulled int othe buckles arm first and takes a single arm ddt for 2. BJ armlocks him. BJ trips him and misses an elbow drop.
JO armwhips him down then JO kneelifts him. JO running lariats him. JO backbreakers and suplexes him. JO cannonballs him against the buckles. BJ lariats him off the buckles and running lariats him for the win.
Thoughts: They were building towards a longer match than what we got. I was surprised it just ended on a lariat after all of the armwork that was done here. The work wasn't bad and BJ's lariat finisher looked good here. JO had a nice tope.
Chuey Martinez interviews Brooks Jensen after. He says he may be in the running for a title match. BJ tells Jordan that he can pack up on the bus and go to the next town as he wants the Evolve champ. He is asked about The Vanity Project. He says Jackson Drake needs an army to stay champ and he doesn't. He says if you aren't here to be champ than why are you in this sport? He says he's been a tag champ and it's time for him to be a singles champ. He says Stevie needs to do the right thing and name him the #1 contender.
Thoughts: Brooks went off a bit here going out of the box and it wasn't bad.
The Vanity Project talk in the back. Drake says everyone is coming for him. Bryce says Brooks is a headcase. Drake says every great faction has ups and downs and says Vanity Project is no different. He says they are good looking and still running Evolve. Stevie Turner comes in. She says she's deciding his next challenger. Drake says it doesn't matter who is put in front of him as he will put them down.
Layla Diggs and Masyn Holiday talk in the back.
Masyn says she hasn't had a lot of opportunities but comes from a small place and has big dreams. She talks about breaking records in track and field. Layla asks who she will call out and they talk about various wrestlers. Masyn says Kylie Rae is the measuring stick of Evolve and wants to show that she's a star in the making.
Evolve Women's Title - Kali Armstrong (c) vs Chantel Monroe vs Nikkita Lyons vs Karmen Petrovic
Kali argues with KP. The other girls hit them. Kali throws CM over the top. Kali slams KP. KP bodyscissors her. We then get a 4 girl submission. Kali hits a double lariat. Kali hits punches on NL then corner spears CM and NL. Kali powerslams KP. CM comes off the top and is powerslammed by Kali. Lyons does a split drop on CM and Kali at the same time. We go to break and return.
KP and NL miss legsweeps. NL hits pin kicks on her opponents. She germans KP then tiger drivers CM for 2. KP superkicks NL in the head. KP cradles Kali on a powerslam and superkicks her. KP hits a soul foot on CM. KP 2nd rope diving slingblades NL.
KP corner handstand hurricanrana's Kali down then corkscrew kicks her for 2. CM pulls Kali's neck forward then spinning codebreakers BL. CM kips down out of a lariat then handstands into a headscissors on Kali, who spears NL. CM does a jawbreaker on KP for 2.
We get a tower of doom spot with NL sending everyone down. NL gets a 2 count on KP and then Kali. NL hits punches on KP and Kali. KP boots Kali out of the corner. KP hanging headscissors Kali over the top. NL spin kicks Kali in the gut.
NL and Kali double lariat each other down. CM bangs KP's head off the apron. Kylie Rae comes down and fights with CM. KP topes both. Rae and CM fight to the back. Kali powerbombs NL after being kicked in the gut. KP lariats CM out. KP jack knife's NL for 2.
NL samoan drops KP. Kali pulls KP out of a vader bomb. Kali running shoulders NL over and pins her.
Thoughts: I didn't expect much out of this but it was a good main event. There was a lot of action, they kept things moving and everyone ended up looking good here. They did a good job of covering the girls various weaknesses and this really gelled well. I don't know how this brand seems to do so well with four-way matches but they did it again here.
Overall thoughts: It was a good episode. The main was the highlight here. I had no expectations for it and it ended up being a good four with everyone looking good. Kendal Grey and Wendy Choo had a match that kind of masqueraded as a really good match but could have been better. It wasn't bad though. Oasis/Jensen was pretty good throughout but they worked the arm all match then just had a lariat finish which didn't add onto what they did. Jensen then cut a decent promo after. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 as they built some stuff for next time and did enough in the ring.
