Sam Holloway vs Savage King
They say this is Sam's last chance to earn an ROW contract here.
Sam shoves him off the lock up. Sam misses a chop in the corner and King chops him up. Sam slams him then chops him. Sam foot chokes him. King pulls him over the top rope then plancha's him outside.
King chops him outside then he is sent into the post. Sam then backdrops him on the apron. Sam 2nd rope springboard elbow drops him for 2. Sam clubs on him. Sam misses a corner splash then King hits one. King basement dropkicks him.
Sam double underhook suplexes him into the buckles. King spinning ddt's him. King grabs a chair and Sam boots him to stop it. Sam then swings the chair at him and misses. King spinebusters him. King comes off the top and Sam catches him with a chokeslam for the win.
Thoughts: I think King was supposed to be the face here but he didn't do a good of job it as he tried to use a chair. The match would have been better without it. I thought it was obvious Sam would win here since they are using him regularly and he needed one last shot to win the contract. The match was just average and nothing too special.
Stacks is interviewed with his crew in the back. He says he was on a private jet after training Jelly Roll. He said they used to call Will Austin "Weirdo Will" for sniffing people's shoulders pads. He says you don't get in the way of Stacks' business. He says Will is in trouble and says he's just another victim of Stacks' takeover of ROW.
Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo vs Will Austin
Stacks beat up someone on a past episode. They didn't have a name graphic for him so I didn't know who it was but it turned out to be Will Austin, hence this match. ROW often doesn't have name graphics for people and it's often hard to know who is who unless you watch regularly.
Stacks' crew is on the apron and Will knows he's surrounded. Will goes after one of them and Stacks hits him. Stacks stomps on him then back elbows him. Stacks hits shots on Will's gut. Will dropkicks him. Will springboard headscissors him.
Will then topes Stacks' crew outside. Stacks hits Will from behind and sends him into the post. Stacks flying knees him inside and hits mounted forearms for 2. Stacks misses a corner charge. They trade punches and Will gets the edge. Will hits lariats.
Will back elbows him then 2nd rope tornillo's him. Stacks lariats Will. Will is thrown out and Stacks' crew beats up Will. Stacks then hits his curbstomp with the knee and wins.
Thoughts: Will was definitely the underdog here. Stacks won as expected though it wasn't clean. It was average and Will got some offense in before going down.
ROW GM Andrew Jackson talks to Chandler Hopkins and AJ Francis. AJ has Quinton Wynters with him. AJ says he's the longest reigning Glory champion and things are good. Andrew says AJ said that if Chandler beat Wynters, he'd get a title shot. AJ says he said he would think about giving Chandler a title match if he won, but then says no. Chandler gets upset. Andrew says AJ owes him something. AJ says he's a benevolent champion. He says if Chandler can beat AJ Francis and Wynters then he will guarantee him a title match. Andrew says he can't sanction a handicap match but says Chandler can get a partner to fight them. AJ agrees but says not to forget that the house always wins.
Edge Stone vs Eli Knight
Booker T is with Stone. Stone flips him then Eli dropkicks him off of it. Stone catches a corner splash then hits gut punches in the corner. Eli springboard dropkicks him. Stone catches his plancha outside. Eli asai moonsaults him outside.
Back inside, Stone hits a nice pop-up TKO. Booker chokes Eli on the ropes. Stone suplexes him for 2. Stone chinlocks him. Eli double boots him out of the corner. Eli slips some but hits a tornado ddt from the 2nd rope.
Eli hits punches then he flying lariats him. Eli spin kicks him and 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him. Stone headbutts him down. Stone pops him up and Eli kind of double stomps/dropkicks him in mid-air. Eli hits a big top rope moonsault for 2 when Booker puts Stone's foot on the ropes.
Stone atomic drops him and backdrops him for 2. Eli slingshot cutters him. Booker T gets on the apron. Stone eye pokes Eli then hits forearms. Booker then low blows Eli. Stone hits a headhunter and wins.
Thoughts: Eli didn't hit things as clean as he should have here but I still liked it. Stone threw him around like he was supposed to and Eli was a good face against him. Eli really got thrown on the TKO and I liked Eli's top rope moonsault.
Overall thoughts: The first match wasn't that great with Savage King not being the best face. The second match was a bit more one-sided. I liked the main as both guys played their roles well and we got an okay match out of it. I'd give this one a 5 out of 10 and thought it was average.
