Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/07/wwe-evolve-7162025.html

Robert Stone and Pete Rosenberg are on commentary.

We see Kali Armstrong and Natalya arrive.

Timothy Thatcher vs Keanu Carver

They stare down. KC hits a forearm then takes euros. TT sleepers him. KC backs him up into the buckles. TT trips him then elbow drops the arm. TT top wristlocks him then kicks the arm for 2. KK top wristlocks him and knees the ribs for 2.

TT ties the legs up then bow and arrows him. TT elbows him in the back of the neck. KC suplexes him. KC hits a corner spear then fallaway slams him for 2. KC stomps on him then does a grounded cobra clutch.

KC short arm clotheslines him for 2. KC hits a world's strongest slam then misses a corner charge. TT hits euros. KC hits forearms then euros him. TT takes him down with the armbar. KC ropebreaks.

TT hits forearms to the body. KC then pounces him. KC bangs TT's head off the apron over the bottom rope. He ignores the ref and the ref ends up DQ'ing KC for it.

Thoughts: It's a shame we didn't get a true ending to this. The ending was a bit weak too. It was one of the more interesting Carver matches so far as it wasn't a squash and he had to have more of an even match. It reminded me of Regal vs Goldberg. I kind of liked it and thought it was something different.

KC keeps banging TT's head off the apron. Refs then come down to try and stop it.

The Vanity Project talk in the back with Stevie Turner there. Stevie is on the phone. Drake says Lince Dorado stole a win last week. Stevie says Lince has a title match next week and says Drake is signing the contract for it. Jordan Oasis walks in. Jordan tells Drake to spell his name right when he signs the contract.

Chantel Monroe vs Masyn Holiday

Layla Diggs is with Mas. They do an inset promo. Diggs says Monroe sits on her high horse thinking she is better than anyone. She says that's not the real Monroe. Mas agrees and says they tried being her friend. She says it's not on them it's on her.

CM wristlocks Mas. Mas flips out using the ropes and reverses it. CM yanks the arm then armlocks her. Mas rolling kimura's her for 2. Mas wristlocks her.

CM knees her in the gut. Mas leapfrogs and crossbodies her for 2. Mas armlocks her. CM forearms her down then bangs her head off the buckles. Mas rolls her up for 2. CM snapmares her then pulls her head forward while she's seated for 2.

Mas chin and armlocks her. Mas shoulders her over then dropkicks her. Mas standing splashes her for 2. Mas goes for a spinebuster but CM codebreakers out of it and pins her.

Thoughts: It was pretty average and basic for the most part with them fighting for arm and wristlocks. There weren't a ton of highlights here but nobody botched anything.

Monroe gets on the mic after. She says the bell means she left Masyn and Layla in the past. She says she wants to focus on the Evolve Women's Title match. She says she will watch the main and whoever wins will be seeing her.

Kylie Rae comes out. She congrats her on the win. She says she had her own biggest win against Wendy Choo a few weeks ago. Rae says she's also in the conversation for the Evolve Women's Title. Monroe says she doesn't remember inviting her here.

Tyra Mae Steele comes out. She's excited to be here. Monroe says no one invited her here. Tyra says she's been talking to Stevie and now she's in Evolve. Rae says she's happy for her. Tyra says she wants the winner of the Women's Title match. Rae says the line starts behind her. Monroe says she doesn't care if Tyra won LFG or if Rae beat Choo, she says the title is hers. Monroe then forearms Rae over and is german'd by Tyra.

Thoughts: This was a bit weird as Tyra won LFG and a contract for NXT but is here now on Evolve. I don't think it's a bad move as I didn't think Tyra was going to get far with how many people are in NXT but it's a bad look for LFG as it makes the point of the show more meaningless.

Chuey Martinez is waiting to hear about how Timothy Thatcher is near medical. Stevie tells him. Ridge Holland interrupts. He says he's been keeping close tabs on the talent here. He says he's the ghost of wrestling future and he says he will hurt them like wrestling will in 5 years. Ridge says he wants the winner of Drake/Lince. Stevie says that's not how it works. She says there's no shortcuts. Tate Wilder comes out and says he's ready to get in the ring. Ridge says Tate will quit and fold. Tate says hen ever backed down fro a challenge. Stevie says she will speak with Tate later.

Stevie Turner hosts a contract signing between Lince Dorado and Jackson Drake for the Evolve Title next week. Drake comes out with all of Vanity Project. Stevie tries to give the mic to Lince but Drake says the champ talks first. Drake says Lince wins one match and gets a title shot. He says there will be no lucha house party for Lince. Lince says he's back in WWE. He says he was here to help people like him but wants nothing more than to humble his stuck-up preppy @ss.

Lince says he was here long before Drake stepped in the ring. He says he will still be here once the hype fizzles out of the door. He says he will take the title. Drake says he can be cocky. He says no one match his charisma or athleticism or his star power. He says he fights back unlike Mr. Iguana's toy. He says he's on top, he likes the view and it won't change for a long time.

Drake signs the contract. Lince says he's excited and Drake made the biggest mistake of his life. He said Drake should have listened to Stevie as he put his own clause in the contract. He says in the match, all members of The Vanity Project are banned from ringside. He says any interference results in a DQ and a title change. Drake asks if they are serious and Lince says "hundo". Lince then signs the "hey hey goodbye song".  Drake then gets mad and Lince leaves.

Kendal Grey and Carlee Bright talk in the back. Grey says  Zara Zakher wasn't the attacker and says she was wrong. CB says she admitted she was wrong. CB says Grey has been killing it in the ring. CB says her rehab has killed all her momentum. She says she will be cleared this week. Grey says they will find the attacker when she is.

Chuey interviews Sean Legacy. Sean says Thatcher is banged up and is in the hospital. Sean says what Keanu did was inexcusable. Sean says Keanu bullying his way through the WWE ID program stops now.

WWE Evolve Women's Title - Kali Armstrong (c) vs Natalya

Kali's jacket says "Too Strong Armstrong". They lock up and go into the corner. Kali pushes her then trips her. Nat trips her then hooks her leg and neck at the same time. They trade some basic holds and Nat side headlock takeovers her. Kali hits shots to the gut. Nat swings her leg down. Nat then surfboards her.

Kali misses a corner splash. Kali lariats her. We go to break and return. Kali hits a corner spear then boots her in the corner. Kali's head is banged off the buckles. They flurry on each other in the corner.

Kali abdominal stretchers her then cobra twists her. Kali then cobra trists her. Nat spinning lariats her for 2. They boot each other in the gut. Nat hits punches then russian legsweeps her for 2.

Nat STO's her for 2. Nat running boots her for 2. Kali oklahoma stampede's her for 2. Kali camel clutches her.

Kali lifts her for a slam then Nat ankle locks her. Nat backrolls her for 2 then crucifixes her for 2. Nat crossfaces her. Nat tries a spinning lariat but is powerslammed. Kali runs the ropes. She misses the flying shoulder. Nat then sharpshooters her. Kali ropebreaks.

Kali pulls Nat into the ropes and running shoulders her. Kali then pins her.

Thoughts
: I'm usually not a big Natalya fan but this was good. They did some acceptable technical wrestling to start, they traded blows and Kali went her higher impact offense wile Nat did submissions. I thought it was a good match here and the two worked pretty well together. I was very surprised by how much I liked this one and I'd be up for a rematch. This was easily Nat's best match in a long time.

They hug after and Nat holds up Kali's arm.

Jin Tala then comes in and nails Kali after. She sends her into the post shoulder first. Jin then says it was her and she's the attacker. She says she will eliminate anyone in her path to get to the title.

Overall thoughts: It was a good episode of Evolve. The main was the highlight here with Natalya having one of her better matches in a while and her matching up well with Kali. The opener was a different type of match than what Keanu Carver usually has and I liked it, but I wish we had a better finish. Masyn/Monroe was pretty average rookie stuff and not much of note. I'd give this one a 6 out of 10 overall and the main is worth seeing.
