WWE Evolution 2025 7/13/2025

We are in Atlanta, GA. Wade Barrett and Michael Cole are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive. 

Joe Tessitore welcomes us to the show. He puts over the women's division and brings out Stephanie McMahon. She said we had to prove that we could have our own show and that the fans would show up.
She says get ready to be inspired. She says she's looking forward to Jade Cargill vs Naomi.  

WWE Women's Intercontinental Title - Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria 

Bay drops Lyra to start with a shot. She then hits punches on BL. BL hits forearms and a spin kick to the gut. Bay backdrops her then Lyra hits Bay from behind. Bay taks down Lyra and trades mounted shots with her. Bay la magistral's her for 2. Lyra backslides her. BL then tries to pin both at the same time. Lyra rolls up BL for 2.

Lyra comes off the 2nd rope and crossbodies Bay. She then crossbodies BL. BL rolls her up for 2. Lyra rocking chairs BL and Bay breaks it up with a facekick. Lyra dropkicks Bay into the corner. Lyra is caught with a dropkick between the ropes and is sent into the commentary table.

BL and Bay trade shots. BL's head is banged off the apron. BL baseball slides Bay then forearms Lyra off the apron. Bay baseball slides BL. Lyra crossbodies Bay off the apron. Lyra is then pushed into the steps by BL. Bay is sent into the rails. BL exploders Bay into the rails.

Bay hits forearms on BL. BL top rope double axe handles Bay for 2. Bay clubs on BL. Lyra htis a top rope crossbody on both opponents. Lyra's boot is sent into BL. Lyra northern lights suplexes then fisherman suplexes BL. Bay breaks it up with a top rope elbow.

Lyra is put in tree of woe and Bay boots her. Bay knees BL in the face. Bay then sunset bombs BL into Lyra, who is hanging in tree of woe. Bay bottom rope springboard elbow drops Lyra for 2.

BL is on the 2nd rope and superplexes Bay down. BL armbars Bay and Bay tries a pin off of it. Bay is bent over and Lyra hits a nasty guillotine legdrop off the top on Bay's neck. BL hits a reverse ddt + ddt combo for 2. 

Lyra rolls up BL for 2. BL flips Lyra then uranages her for 2. BL and Bay trade chops. Bay knees BL in the gut. Bay swinging side slams BL. Bay then hits a belly to belly suplex on BL for 2. Bay slaps Lyra then takes an enzugiri. Lyra hits nightwing on Bay for 2.

Lyra and Bay pieface then slap each other. Lyra rolls her up for 2. Bay backrolls Lyra then Lyra rolls her up for 2. Bay hits a roseplant on Lyra then backslides Bay and wins.

Thoughts: It was a decent opener here. They kept this one moving and there weren't any botches. Becky wasn't losing here and I think the way she won was alright. I didn't expect a ton out of this but they did alright and I liked it more than I expected. I'm not sure what happens now with the feuds between the three but it doesn't feel like it's the end.

NXT's General Manager Ava is in the crowd as is Mark Henry and Vickie Guerrero (who is doing her excuse me line).

NXT Women's Title - Jacy Jayne (c) vs Jordynne Grace

JG punches Jacy then germans her. JG topes her. Jacy catapults JG's throat into the middle rope. Jacy PK's her from the apron. Jacy running neckbreakers her for 2. Jacy hits punches and foot chokes her. Fallon then pulls on JG's hair. Jacy corner cannonballs JG for 2.

Jacy chinlocks her. JG goes up and over then spinebusters her. They trade forearms. Jacy hits chops and punches. JG bangs Jacy's face off the buckles. I think they botch an alley oop on the buckles when JG falls too soon. JG package sitout powerbombs Jacy for 2.

JG world's strongest slams her then misses a vader bomb. JG back elbows her and Jacy superkicks her. Jacy pump kicks her. Jacy pumping knees her then hits a twisting draping neckbreaker for 2.

Jacy curbstomps JG. Jacy misses a corner cannonball and JG sunst flips her for 2. JG does an interesting suplex with her head under Jacy's leg for 2. Jacy enzugiri's JG while she's on the buckle. JG is top rope hurricanrana'd then Jacy pumping knees her for 2.

Fallon Henley throws Jacy the belt. Blake Monroe headbutts Fallon. The ref and Jacy fight for the belt. JG rolls up Jacy for 2. JG urakens Jacy. Jazmyn Nyx grabs the belt outside and Blake forearms her over. Blake hits JG with the belt in the back and Jacy pins JG to win.

Thoughts: I really don't know what to make of the ending here with Blake turning on Grace. It was definitely on purpose but it doesn't really make sense why. It's not like she likes Fatal Influence and she spent half the match beating Fatal Influence up anyway. The match was better than expected with the two keeping up a good pace. It was easily one of the better matches I have seen from Grace.

Blake hands Jacy the title after and kind of smiles at her after.

Jazz is at the show as is Ivory, Jacqueline and Maryse. Maryse still looks pretty good. 

Stephanie McMahon and Joe Tessitore talk at a podium. Steph says Blake is certainly making her mark and says she's an individual who is out for herself. Steph says you gotta watch out for Sol Ruca's sol snatcher and says anything can happen in WWE.

WWE Women's Tag Titles - The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) (c) vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Sol Ruca and Zaria vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) 

RP = Roxanne Perez, RR = Raquel Rodriguez

Sane dropkicks RP to start then hits forearms on her. RP slaps her. Sane headscissors her using the ropes. Sane sliding lariats her for 2. RP takes a bulldog and a basement dropkick from Asuka and Sane. Asuka hip attacks RP. RR hits a double lariat on The Warriors then slams Asuka.

RR slams Sane on Asuka and knocks opponents off the apron. Asuka head kicks RP. Asuka gets stuck on the 2nd rope and Bliss tags herself in. Bliss hits shoulders on RP then STO's her. Bliss double knee drops her then rolling sentons her. RP eye rakes Bliss.

Zar gets in and stares down Bliss. Bliss grabs her by the throat then Zar grabs her by the throat. Bliss clips Zar. Zar lifts her on a ddt attempt then gordbusters her. Sol slingshot facebusters Bliss for 2.

Sol spinning drops Bliss on her chest. Bliss forearms her and head kicks her. RR corner splashes Bliss. Bliss rolls out of a facekick and tags in Flair. Flair top rope crossbodies RP and RR. Flair hits chops on them. Flair forward cartwheel lariats RR. Flair fallaway slams RP.

Flair lariats RR over the top. RP rolls up Flair for 2. Flair rolling spears RR for 2. Asuka top rope dropkicks RR. Asuka germans Flair and Sol. Asuka urakens and spin kicks RP. Sane headhunters RP.

Asuka and Sane uraken Zar then double superkick her. Zar double suplexes The Warriors. Sol comes off of Zar's shoudlers and hits a splash. Sol then sol snatchers Flair. Zar spears Sol on accident when Flair saves Bliss.

Bliss tornado ddt's Zar. RR lariats Flair. RP code red's Flair. RR throws Bliss over the top onto other wrestlers. RP topes Flair. RR one arm powerbombs Sol and wins. 

Thoughts: I was a bit surprised Flair and Bliss didn't win here. It was a fast paced one. It wasn't totally clean here but it wasn't bad. Sol got put over here some and they worked on the storyline with Flair and Bliss in this. Kairi Sane had another not so great night in this one.

Torrie Wilson is in the crowd and still looks great. Melina is in the crowd as well. Molly Holly is also out there.

Joe and Steph talk. Steph says Perez and Raquel are a successful team together and asks what Liv Morgan will think. Steph says Tiff Stratton has been dominant but says she is going up against one of the GOAT's. She says Trish surprises her every time she is in the ring and says Trish could do it tonight.

WWE Women's Title - Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Trish Stratus

They lock up. Tiff backs her up in the corner and poses. Trish side headlocks takeovers her. Tiff kips up out of a wristlock and reverses it. Trish flips out using the ropes and armdrags Tiff. Tiff cartwheel on her and Trish headscissors her down. They slap each other and punch each other. Tiff dropkicks her then hip attacks her on the ropes.

Tiff suplexes her. Trish handstand hurricanrana's her off the apron. Trish spinebusters her. Trish thesz presses her and hits mounted shots. Trish tornado ddt's her off the 2nd rope for 2. Trish hits chops. Tiff knocks her down with a kick. Tiff handspring back elbows her. Tiff then suplex lifts her into a backcracker.

Tiff basement dropkicks her then hits a top rope swanton for 2. Trish handstand hurricanrana's her off the buckles. Trish high kicks her for 2. Tiff finlay rolls her then Trish gets her knees up on a double jump moosault. Trish hits the stratusfaction for 2.

Trish top rope moonsaults and Tiff gets her feet up. Tiff hits an alabama slam then double jump moonsaults her to win.

Thoughts: It was one of Trish's better matches. She wasn't perfectly clean here, but even in her heyday, she wasn't. This was legit about the best match possible they could have had with them keeping up a good pace and doing athletic stuff in the process. I was very impressed with this.

Alundra Blayze and Leilani Kai are at ringside.

No Holds Barred Match - Jade Cargill vs Naomi

Bianca Belair is the special ref. Naomi tries to hit Jade with the MITB briefcase. Jade superkicks her and sends her into the rails and LED board apron. Jade is tripped into the steps. Naomi misses a kendo stick shot and is booted. Jade suplexes her on the floor. Jade takes a good 30 seconds to get a table set up then Naomi sends Jade into the post.

Naomi hits her with a kendo stick in the back. Jade spears Naomi on the floor. Naomi kicks her in the shoulder then tiger feint bulldogs her into an open chair for 2. Jade is sent into the post shoulder first.

Naomi hanging chokes her with a chain from the buckles. Jade throws her down. Jade punches her with the chain. Jade grabs the cameraman's camera and hits Naomi in the gut with it. She then throws it.

Jade puts a trash can on Naomi's head. Jade then pump kicks the trash can. Jade tries to a drop a trash can on Naomi but Naomi moves. Naomi rams Jade into the apron edge and bangs her head off the commentary table.  

Naomi basement dropkicks Jade into the commentary table TV monitor and makes sparks and smoke fly. Naomi drives Jade's eye into the table leg. Naomi piledrivers her over the 2nd rope onto the apron. Jade is pushed off the apron through a table by Naomi. Jade facebusters Naomi on a chair for 2.  

Jade is put on a table. Naomi climbs the buckles and is chaired. Jade hits a top rope jade end on her through a table and wins.

Thoughts: I liked it. They didn't go too long here. They did things you would expect two people who were feuding to do and we got some table spots out of it. Jade didn't provide a ton here but nobody messed up anything and this was a decent match.

Battle Royal for a World Title Match at Clash in Paris

Nia throws Tatum Paxley out to start then throws Izzi Dame out with her. Nia hits a double lariat on Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan. Nia knocks Kelani off the apron onto Tatum and Izzi but they catch her. Kelani is stuck on the commentary table.

Lola Vice hits a corner hip attack on Nia. Kelani handstand walks, hooks her feet under the bottom rope and gets back in. Kelani then hits a double dropkick. Kelandi cartwheel back elbows Lola. Lash Legend knocks over Kelani and Jaida with forearms. Lash swinging backbreakers Ivy Nile.

Nia hits corner spears on Lash. Steph Vaquer bangs Ivy's head off the buckles and hits a headbutt flurry. Steph hanging triangles Ivy over the top. Giulia then pushes Ivy over the top for the elimination.

Nikki Bella takes shots from Giulia. Giulia and Steph stare down then shake hands. They hit forearms on each other and headbutt each other.

Steph suplexes Giulia. Chelsea Green breaks up a devil's kiss attempt. Nikki  trips and pounds on Green. Alba Fyre and Green take a double suplex together. Maxxine Dupri does the reverse worm and an elbow drop on Alba and Green.

Dupri tells Natalya to do the reverse worm. She then kind of does one. Natalya spinning lariats Kelani. Jaida Parker dumps Natalya over the top and tells her to suck it. Dupri and Jaida trade shots. Candice LeRae knocks Duprii off the apron for the elimination. Michin and B-Fab twerk together. Mich cannonballs Jaida in the corner. Mich and Fab throw Jaida out.

Nia lariats Kelani onto the apron and LeRae pulls Kelani down. Lash totally misses a pump kick on Nia. Giulia knees Vega in the face on the apron. Giulia is pushed into the post and Vega kicks her into it to eliminate her. Piper and Fab are seen talking to each other.

Piper misses a corner charge and Fab spinning heel kicks her. Piper then catches the leg and throws her over the top. Green knocks Michin off the apron for the elimination but it's mostly missed by the camera's. Mich tries to pull green off the apron but Alba topes her between the ropes.

Lash gorilla press throws Vega onto Fab and Mich for the elimination. Green's crew poses on the ropes. Nikki Bella throws Alba over the top for the elimination. Lola spin kicks Piper in the ribs. Bella spears Green. Lola and Nikki Bella dance together and Piper lariats both.

Piper knocks Lola off the apron for the elimination. Steph and Nikki Bella throw Piper over the top together for the elimination. Lash, Steph, Green, Nia and Bella are left. Steph hits the devil's kiss on Green. Bella TKO's Green then throws her out.

Nia does Bella's dance. Bella flying headscissors Nia. Nia headbutts her in the gut and puts her on the apron. Lashh pump kicks Bella and eliminates her off the apron. Lash puts Nia on the apron. Her and Steph try to eliminate Nia. Lash and Steph hit Nia at the same time and eliminate her.

Lash and Steph are the last two left. Lash pump kicks Steph. Steph 619's Lash. Lash catches Steph's springboard. Lash and Steph go to the apron. Steph hits the devil's kiss on Lash on the apron then rolls her off to win.

Thoughts: It was your usual battle royale. It wasn't too special or anything and the work wasn't the cleanest but it was acceptable enough. I really don't know why Steph won when she hadn't been featured much the last few weeks. I was surprised we didn't see more legends in this.

Stephanie McMahon interviews Stephanie Vaquer after. She talks to her in Spanish and SV talks in Spanish. Vaquer thanks her and every woman before her. She says they can make history now. She says Evolution is a big show and she says she will keep working hard. She says we will remember her name forever. She then gets fireworks. 

Women's World Title - Iyo Sky (c) vs Rhea Ripley

They lock up. RR wristlocks her. Iyo rolls out and side headlock takeovers her. RR headscissors her. They repeat the spot with the roles reversed. Iyo flips out of a snapmare after hitting one and they stand off. They roll over each other. Rhea blocks a sunset flip and throws her into the corner. Rhea then does Iyo's taunt.

They say they respect each other and RR says let's fight. Iyo cartwheels, backflips and dropkicks her. Iyo goes for a dive and RR forearms her. Iyo asai moonsaults her outside.

Iyo flying headscissors her from the buckles. Iyo crossfaces her. Iyo trips her into the ropes. Iyo 619's, headscissors her and drives Rhea's head into the apron off of it. Rhea knees her from the bottom rope then throws her into the commentary table face first. Iyo is sent into the rails and has her head banged off the steps. 

Rhea backbreakers her. Iyo is dropped on the top rope gut first and flips over for 2. Rhea bodyscissors her then basement dropkicks her in the head. Rhea grounded abdominal stretches her. Iyo spinning ddt's her. Iyo hits forearms then rolls her into a double stomp. Iyo buzzsaw kicks her then germans her. Iyo tope crossbodies her. Iyo top rope dropkicks her. 

Iyo corner meteora's her for 2. Iyo flips out of a 2nd rope german. Iyo misses a corner charge. Rhea is pulled down onto the 2nd buckle. Iyo hits shotei's. Rhea bangs Iyo's head off her knee. Rhea then takes a poisonrana.

Iyo gets crotched up top. Rhea hits a razor's edge on her. Rhea then sitout powerbombs her for 2. 
Iyo gets on her back with a sleeper and Rhea breaks it up. Rhea top rope dropkicks the ref on accident. Rhea hits riptide on Iyo but the ref is out. Rhea hits another razor's edge. Rhea facekicks Iyo over the rails. Rhea headbutts Iyo on the rails. Rhea bangs Iyo's head off the production boxes.

They climb the boxes. Rhea's head is banged off one and Rhea goes down to the floor. Iyo then jumps off the boxes and crossbodies Rhea. Rhea's head is banged off the rails then Iyo stomps on her on the steps. Rhea is sent back into the ringside. Iyo runs into the commentary table when Rhea moves.

Iyo sunset bombs her on the floor. Iyo top rope moonsaults her inside as the ref wakes up. Iyo gets a 2 count on it. Iyo's head is banged off the post. They go up top and Iyo top rope spanish flies her. Naomi comes out with both girls down with a ref. She cashes in her MITB brierfcase.

WWE Women's Title - Iyo Sky (c) vs Rhea Ripley vs Naomi

Naomi cracks Iyo in the head with the briefcase then sends Rhea into the post shoudler first. Naomi split legged moonsaults Iyo and pins her.

Thoughts: Well, I didn't see that one coming. It did work but logic would say to wait until the match is over then try to cash in when it's 1v1 and therefore easier. The singles match here got a ton of time and they let them go all out with top rope spanish flies, dives off of electrical boxes, poisonrana's and outside dives. They didn't lean much into face vs heel stuff here and there wasn't a great story to it, just two girls wrestling. They tried hard and I though they maybe overdid it a little but it was okay enough overall. I don't think Naomi cashing in was the best outcome on this one as it was supposed to show off women's wrestling and we didn't get a clear decisive winner in the main after all that. Now if they rematch at Summerslam maybe it'll be worth it, but I don't know if I would have done this here.

Rhea and Iyo show respect to each other and walk each other to the back. They then hold their arms up together and hug.

Overall thoughts: It was a good show overall. The opener was fine. I liked Jacy/Grace more than I expected but I didn't like the ending as it made little sense. The tag title match was fast and not that bad. Trish/Tiffany was my match of the night with Trish going all out and the two really working well together. Jade/Naomi was good and was timed right. The battle royale was what it was. The girls tried hard in the main but it didn't have a clean finish due to Naomi getting involved and making it a three way. I do think they set out what they tried to do though but this match and PPV probably deserved a better finish. I'd give this one an 8 out of 10. Nothing was bad here. I really liked Trish/Tiffany and Rhea/Iyo got to go all out. I do think they could have brought back some legends for the battle royal though and I would have had a clean finish in the main.
