NWA Powerrr 7/8/2025

Thom Lattimer is walking around Dothan, Alabama. He says he's blessed and said it's the place where the peanut was invented. He says Carson Drake and The Slimeballz are peanuts. He says Drake is insecure and he's seen lots of people like him. He says Drake hides behind the facade and said he destroys facades. He says he will walk in and out champ tonight.

NWA World Tag Team Title Ladder Match - Knox And Murdoch (Mike Knox & Trevor Murdoch) (c) vs. The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz & Tommy Rant)

The Slimes have entrance effects with like green bubbles and stuff. The Slimes get hit by various weapons to start. Rant takes a corner splash. Sage is thrown into him and Knox splashes both. Knox misses a plash and Sage trips him into an open chair. Sage baseball slides a ladder into Murd. Murd is double teamed and then hit with kendo sticks and cookie sheets.

Sage rolls Rant into a splash on Murd. Knox is hit in the gut and back with a ladder. Sage is slammed onto Knox and Rant sentons Knox. Sage is back body dropped onto a ladder by Murd then Rant is thrown into the ladder. Murd spins around with the ladder and hits The Slimes and Knox on accident.

We go to break and return. Knox is climbing the ladder, Rant battering rams Sage into him and Sage kind of gets ddt's off of it. The Slimes climb the ladder together. Knox pushes both guys down onto the top rope. Murd then hits Rant with a kendo stick to the nuts. 

Murd then hits Sage with a kendo stick to the nuts. Sage is sat on the 2nd buckle with his legs split and Murd kendo sticks him in the crotch. Murd suplexes Sage. Knox hits Rant with the kendo stick. Rant is sent into a chair between the buckles.

Murd hits Rant with a cookie sheet then stomps it into him. Murd hits punches on Rant. Knox russian legsweeps Sage off the ladder, hurting himself in the process. Murd elbow slices Sage. Sage takes a high/low on the apron. Rant ddt's Knox. Knox throws Rant down off the ladder. Murd grabs a table from under the ring.

Knox powerbombs Rant through a table. Murd climbs the ladder over top of Rant then retrieves the tag titles to win.

Thoughts: It was what it should have been with Murd and Knox mostly winning with ease and The Slimes really getting offense in through weapons. It made sense, we got a few ladder spots and a table spot and it was a decent match.

Carson Drake does a promo. He says he's the only man who is as good as he says he is. He talks about his accomplishments and says he will prove it when he wins the NWA Title. He says he will show that Thom can't beat him.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title Match - Thom Latimer (c) vs. Carson Drake

Drake had made it through 7 defenses of his TV Title to earn this shot.

They lock up and Drake is backed up into the corner. Drake backs him up in the corner, they shove each other and Drake goes down. Thom side headlock takeovers him. Thom shoulders him over and Drake goes out to stall.

Thom side headlocks him and kicks him as he bends over. Drake takes an atomic drop. Thom dropkicks him. Drake hits shots to the throat and boots to the gut. Thom back body drops him. Thom's arm is pulled down over the 2nd rope and Drake hits a bunch of punches.

Drake neckbreakers him for 2. Drake chinlocks him and we go to break. We return and Drake puts a sleeper on. Thom jawbreakers, atomic drops and lariats him. Thom hits a corner lariat then spinning backdrops him.

Thom poses on the 2nd rope, comes down and his knee bugs him. Thom ddt's him for 2. Drake clips the leg and hits knees to the body. Thom's leg is on the 2nd rope and Drake knee drops it down. Thom's leg is banged off the post. 

Thom's leg is stuck between the post and steps and Drake boots the steps. Drake clips him again in the ring then stomps the knee. Drake does an indian deathlock variation. The Slimeballz try to come down and Rant falls down the ramp due to pain from earlier. Drake holds onto the rope for leverage and the ref pulls him off. Drake goes for the figure four and is cradled. Drake eye pokes him.

Drake boots him in the knee then codebreakers his face. Drake spinebusters him for 2. Drake back body drops him. Thom hits a stunner then rolling spears him for 2. Drake fameassers him then straightjacket neckbreakers him for 2. 

Drake back elbows him and throws him down backwards. Thom gets right back up and throws him down backwards. Thom hits a pop-up sitdown powerbomb and wins.

Thoughts: It was fine with Drake being a decent heel and working on Thom's knee some until Thom recovered and pinned him. It was one of Drake's better outings yet and I had n problems with this.

The lights go out and Rhyno appears in the ring. He spears The Slimes then Drake. They say this somehow means Rhyno wants a shot at the NWA Title.

Overall thoughts: Like last week, we only had 2 matches and both were fine. There weren't any goofy non-wrestling segments this week either that would have brought things down. The 2 matches we did get also had some build and reason for them happening. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 and thought it was a good episode of Powerrr.
