Joe Hendry comes out to talk. He thanks everyone and says we gave him the greatest life he could have. He says the fans have his back and he appreciates it. He said he has to acknowledge the face that he lost to Trick Williams. He says it's painful to lose to someone who isn't even on the roster. He aid the fans helped him make history.

He said the fans were with him for his ascension and now he needs him for his redemption. He says he will bring back the title to TNA at Slammiversary.

Killer Kelly says once you get close to someone, you know who they are. She says her and Masha were like a chain. She said she watched her become champ but also forget who made her that monster. She says she will show her who the real monster is next week when she takes the title from her hands. She tells the girls in the battle royale tonight to fight hard because when she becomes champ, she won't lose the title. 

Ryan Nemeth vs Zachary Wentz

They lock up. Ryn wristlocks him. ZW kips up and backflips out of a wristlock then hits an armdrag. ZW dropkicks him. ZW tornillos off the buckles onto him. ZW hits strikes then Nic hits ZW on a handspring attempt. Ryan knees ZW out of the ring.

Ryan neckbreakers him. Ryan misses a corner spear. ZW boots him out of the corner. ZW hits chops. ZW backslides him for 2 then hits back elbows.

ZW handspring jumping knees him. ZW step up knees him in the corner then PK's him. ZW running ssp's him for 2. Ryan jumping pendulum ddt's ZW for 2. ZW pumping knees Ryan. ZW then spiral taps Ryan and wins.

Thoughts: It was short and fine for what it was. Zach's spiral tap looked good at the end here.  

Trick Williams is interviewed. Trick says he's ready for Slammiversary. He says Joe Hendry still has heart and he will kick it out of him. He says just because you believe doesn't mean you can achieve. He then talks about Mike Santana. He says his money is on AJ Francis against him and says AJ will kick Mike back to the block.

Masha Slamovich is interviewed. She says she thrives under pressure and says she keeps knocking them down 1v1 as they arrive. Masha challenges Killer Kelly to a chain match next week. Arianna Grace comes in. She says she has something amazing in the works for her but can't tell her what it is.

#1 Contender Knockouts Battle Royal

The Iinspiration hit The Elegance Brand to start. Both teams get grouped up on and are eliminated. The two teams then fight outside. Jody Threat is foot choked. Dani Luna tries to eliminate Myla Grace. Jody throws Katie Arquette over the top.

Jada Stone hits a meteora and a basement dropkick to the back of the neck. Jada is then thrown out by Tasha Steelz. Dani Luna takes corner attacks. Jody then whips Dani into Myla, who throws her over the top. Jody is shocked. 

We go to break and return. Mila Moore is thrown over the top by Indi Hartwell and they say Mila has just been signed. Harley Hudson hits hip attacks in the corner. Jody tries to throw Lei Ying Lee over the top but Lee hooks under her and sends her out instead.

Xia and Alisha Edwards trade. They pieface each other. Myla foot chokes Tasha in the corner. Xia's head is banged off the buckle. Alisha chops Xia in the corner. Indi gets chopped by Alisha then Xia chops Alisha. Rosemary is thrown over the top by Harley and Myla. Harley and Myla then get dumped over the top by Alisha and Tasha.

Alisha gets hit by the faces and takes a spinning high kicks. Tasha dumps Alisha over the top. Lei high kicks Victoria Crawford off the apron and she is eliminated. Xia and Tasha trade forearms.
Xia, Tasha and Lei get dumped out one by one. Indi Hartwell and Tessa Blanchard are the last two. Indi misses a running boot and ends up on the apron. Indi's neck is pulled down over the top rope. Tessa is back body dropped and ends up on the apron. Tessa upkicks Indi and they trade forearms on the apron. Ash By Elegance then appears and pushes both Indi and Tessa off the apron. Ash then wins. We see that she was not eliminated over the top rope earlier.

Thoughts: It wasn't good. There were too many people in this to start including people who haven't really used on TV and it was just hard to figure out who was who. The ending was lame and the girls did very little but the absolute basics, and those didn't even look good.

Masha comes out then Jacy Jayne shows up behind her on the stage. They hint that Jacy was Grace's surprise.

Jake Something does a promo. He said he was gone but Tommy Dreamer checked on him the whole time. He said Tommy bleeds this business. He said he wasn't going to let Mance punching him fly. He said he sent Mance a message but he goes to the hospital next time. He says he head about the new International Title and says Steve Maclin is on notice.

Steve Maclin then comes in and says welcome back and good luck with Mance. He says he will see him soon.

TNA Injury Report

Mike Santana is cleared from his injury and suspension. KC Navarro is not cleared. Elijah has a torn tricep and is out. 

Call to Arms Match - Mustafa Ali vs John Skyler

Ali and John are both tied to the ropes. They have to untie themselves but Ali has scissors and easily gets out. Ali flying kicks John in the corner. Ali pounds and stomps on him in the corner.

John jumping knees him. Ali pulls him down by the hair. Ali is back body dropped to the floor outside. Jason Hotch gives John the scissors and John frees himself. John lariats Ali then he dropkicks him. Ali slingshot rolls in and is ddt'd for 2.

John slingshot spears him for 2. Ali chokes him with the rope then sends him into the post shoulder first. Ali top rope 450's John and wins.

Thoughts: The stipulation was really stupid here but thankfully it didn't play a huge role in the match. What would have happened if they couldn't free themselves in a reasonable amount of time? It was a shorter match and wasn't too much of note.

Ali grabs a chair after. Hotch gets in his face to stop him. Ali pushes Hotch into the post. Ali goes to chair The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz protects them. Ali goes to chair her then Cedric Alexander comes out, making his TNA debut. Ced talks to Ali Ali tells Tasha to get up. Ali and Ced each grab Tasha's hand and Tasha gets behind Ced. Ali goes up to them then Hotch and John stand up. Ali then backs off.

Thoughts: I'm not a big Cedric Alexander fan. I was surprised to see him here instead of in AEW, where I thought he'd join the Hurt Syndicate.

The System talk in the back. Moose says Leon Slater is in the biggest match of his career at Slammiversay but it's another match for him. Matt Cardona comes in to say something to Brian Myers. Eddie tells him this is official System business and says he doesn't even work here. Eddie threatens him and wants a match for next week. 

The Hardy's (Matt and Jeff Hardy) vs The Northern Armory (Travis Williams and Judas Icarus)

Jeff basement dropkicks Trav in the back. Trav takes a double back elbow then Judas takes a double hiptoss. The Hardy's stomp on Trav in the corner then yank him off the ropes for a low elbow drop.

Eric Young pulls Matt out and hits him. Trav jumping knees Matt off the apron. Matt takes a lariat from Judas for 2. Matt pulls Trav's throat down over the top rope. Eric grabs Matt, gets caught and is ejected by the ref. Matt back body drops Judas. Jeff atomic drops Judas and double legdrops his gut. Jeff elbow drops him then Trav elbow drops Judas when Jeff moves. Jeff is held for a dropkick in the corner for 2. Judas takes a twist of fate into a neckbreaker. Jeff top rope swantons Judas and picks up the win.

Thoughts: It was a short one and what we got was pretty average. The Armory didn't get a lot of offense and The Hardy's just did their usual trademark offense.

Jeff Hardy gets on the mic and calls out Leon Slater. Leon comes out. Matt says Leon has been putting in the work. He said he is a future star and is on the road to Slammiversary. He says he gets the chance to be a record maker and breaker at Slammiversary. Matt says they know he will beat Moose.

Leon says he will show up at Slammiversary but wants to show out. He says he will try to live forever or die trying. He says he will walk out the youngest X-Division champ of all time. He says he's doing it for him and his family and the fans. He says he wants to make The Hardy's proud. He says Moose better be prepared for the toughest night of his life. He then says he will be on commentary for Moose's match.

Moose vs Shane Sabre vs Jake Painter

Moose gets on the mic before the match. He said he needed a warm-up and requested this become a triple threat so he could show Leon what he will do to him in the biggest match of his career.

Jake hits shots on Moose. Moose facekicks him. Moose chops both opponents. Moose misses a shot and takes shots in the corner. Moose hits a double lariat then powerbombs Jake. Moose powerbombs Shane then throws him out. Moose rolling spears Jake and pins him.

Thoughts: It was all squash here and little more than filler. Moose wasn't losing here.

Moose pounds on Jake after. Leon gets in Moose's face to stop him and they argue. 

AJ Francis and Mike Santana do a video talking about each other.

Street Fight - AJ Francis vs Mike Santana

Mike rams him into the corner and pounds on him. They hockey fight and Mike lariats him over the top. Mike dropkicks him through the ropes. They fight outside and Mike facekicks him over the rail. AJ hits Mike with a trash can. AJ is thrown into rails near the bleacher. AJ drops Mike throat firs on the rails.

We go to break and return. Mike forearms and throws a trash can at AJ, sending trash flying at some fans. Mike lariats AJ over the rail to ringside. Mike flying forearms AJ off the rail. Mike jumps off the steps, gets caught and AJ rams him into the post. AJ stands on Mike. AJ hits Mike with a trash can lid. AJ chokes Mike on the steps. AJ slams Mike on the floor. AJ chairs him in the ring then chokes him with a chair. AJ sits on a chair in the ring. AJ slams him on a chair.

AJ chairs him in the back and puts the can on Mike's head. AJ running knees him with the chair on his head. Mike hits forearms and chops. Mike hits running lariats. Mike throws a trash can at him and AJ goes out. Mike tope con hilos him outside.

AJ is sent into the steps. Mike sets up 2 tables outside next to each other. Mike asai moonsaults AJ outside. Mike backrolls into a cutter on AJ for 2. Mike AA's AJ through 2 chairs for 2. AJ lariats Mike on the apron. Mike AA's AJ off the apron through 2 tables outside. Trick Williams comes out then Joe Hendry follows. They fight on the ramp. Mike hits a top rope splash on AJ for 2.

AJ hits a big speak on Mike. AJ then hits a styles clash for 2. Mike hits AJ with a champagne bottle then spinning lariats him. Mike then gets the win.

Thoughts: This got a ton of time, maybe even too much. The match was good with AJ taking some big bumps and Mike grabbing the win as expected here. This could have used some blood though to really put this over.

Mike gets on the mic after. He says he has bled and sweat to get where he is and says it's due to the fans. He says when you mention the TNA Title, you mention his name. He says he wants to be in a three way for the title at Slammiversary with Joe and Trick. He says Santino knows what to do and owes him one. He says he's not going to New York to lose and says he's the standard of TNA. 

Overall thoughts: The opener was okay. The knockouts battle royale was not that good as expected. Ali/Skyler was short and had a dumb gimmick with them both being tied to the ropes to start and both cheating to free themselves. Cedric Alexander debuted. The Hardy's had an average one with The Northern Armory. Moose did a squash. The main got a lot of time and did deliver with AJ taking big bumps. I'd give this one a 5 out of 10 as the main was the only real worthwhile thing here as most of the matches were on the shorter side. I thought it was an average show overall.
