We are in Mexico City, Mexico at Arena Mexico.

Adam Page comes out to talk. He speaks in Spanish and literally says nothing in English before leaving.

Thoughts: Excalibur translated some here but this was bogus. It's a nice gesture for the fans, but this is TV and talking in a language natives don't know is just stupid. If you wanna do something like this, you do it off TV. I will be shocked if they didn't lose a bunch of viewers off of this.

Stokeley Hathaway comes out with Dax Harwood only. He says Cash Wheeler won't be here tonight.

Adam Cole, Atlantis, Atlantis, Jr., Bandido, Brody King, Daniel Garcia, & Templario vs. Dax Harwood, Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, & Lance Archer), & Volador, Jr. 

Thoughts: There were too many people in this one and they couldn't really make the most of it because of it. Only 2 of 14 people were in at anytime and we didn't get to see much of anyone. Everyone got their segment in and not that much else. It didn't get enough time for how many people were involved. The crowd was also really weird all throughout as they either didn't know or didn't care whether the wrestlers were faces or heels and reacted the way they wanted, messing up the expected reactions.

Dax pounds on Atlantis Sr. after and Atlantis Jr. makes the save.

Kazuchika Okada vs Mark Briscoe

KO slides out to stall before it gets going. They lock up. Mark boots him and sends him out. Mark hits a crane kick on the inside then punches him. Mark chops him then boots him in the corner. Mark pulls KO out then tope con hilos him through the ropes.

Mark corner lariats him. KO boots him out of the corner. Mark is sat up top and KO dropkicks him down. We go to PiP break and return. KO flapjacks Mark. Mark rolls up KO then back enzugiri's him. They trade forearms. Ko eye rakes him.

Mark flying forearms KO. Mark corner lariats him then fisherman busters him for 2. Mark flips out of a back body drop then uppercut chops him. KO over the back neckbreakers him on the knee.

KO slams him then hits a top rope elbow drop. KO gives him the finger. Mark bites the finger. Mark exploders him. Mark top rope elbow drops him for 2.  

KO hits a big dropkick. KO tombstones him. KO then hits a rainmaker and wins.

Thoughts: It was okay but would have been better in front another crowd. It was what you would expect from these two with them doing their usual offense. It was a bit slower paced and just never picked up.

Don Callis comes in and gives Okada his title after. Don hits Mark after then KO hits Mark in the gut and the head with the belt. Mark is then stomped on by both.

MJF vs Mistico

MJF comes out with the US flag and USA themed attire. Mist comes out with the Mexico flag and Mexican flag attire.

MJF shoves him off the lock up. MJF boots Mist in the gut. Mist chops him, runs up the buckles and corkscrews down with an armdrag. Mist code red's him. MJF stalls outside. Mist chases him then runs into The Hurt Syndicate, who block him. MJF then comes between them and nails Mist.

MJF misses a knee drop inside and Mist flying headscissors him. MJF stomps Mist in the corner. Mist jawbreakers him then MJF powerbomb backbreakers him for 2.

We go to PiP break and return. MJF hits Mist with his crotch. MJF hits shots. Mist then hits forearms and kicks. Mist handspring back elbows him. Mist enzugiri's him from the apron. Mist springboard crossbodies him then spinning ddt's him. Mist springboard crossbodies him outside. 

Mist springboard swantons him inside. Mist misses a top rope moonsault then powerslams him for 2. MJF rakes his eyes and Mist superkicks him. Mist hits a canadian destroyer. MJF no sells it and mule kicks him for 2.  

MJF goes onto the ramp. Mist tries a la mistica there but is blocked and tombstoned on the ramp. Mist avoids being counted out. MJF is up top and is enzugiri'd. Mist hits a top rope spanish fly. Mist hits la mistica but MVP distracts the ref. MJF low blows Mist for 2. MJF low blows Mist in front of the ref and is DQ'd.

Thoughts: I wasn't a big fan of the match. There was a top rope spanish fly that didn't count for a lot and neither did a canadian destroyer or a tombstone on the ramp. The finish was lame too with MJF getting himself DQ'd. Mist was off here with a few slip ups.

MJF pushes the ref over then him and The Hurt's stomp Mist. MJF then unmasks Mist and holds the mask up. MJF then puts the mask on. Bandido, Templario and Titan then come out and want to fight. Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey then dropkick Bobby and Shelton into MJF. MJF then takes a double superkick. The heels then end up leaving.

4 Million Pesos Four-Way Match - Ricochet vs Hologram vs Mascara Dorada vs Lio Rush

Lio gets surrounded in the corner. Ric then hits MD from behind. Lio stomps Holo. MD takes lariats from Lio and Ric. Lio and Ric take superkicks. Holo gets on their shoulders, flips into the ropes and armdrags Lio. MD then does the same thing just on Ric.

Holo is popped up into a dropkick on Lio and Ric. Lio pounds on MD outside. MD is double teamed. MD pumping knees Ric. Ric pushes Md off the top. Lio handspring kicks MD off the apron. Holo springboards and is dropkicked in mid-air by Ric. Ric and then Lio do dives outside. We go to PiP break and return.

Ric is lariated over the top. Ric lariats Holo and Lio running frogsplashes Holo. Lio and Ric clap hands. Lio rubs Ric's head. Ric gets mad and they push each other. Ric is dropkicked into him. MD jumps off of Ric and headscissors Lio. MD corkscrew headscissors Ric.

Holo spinning heel kicks Lio. MD canadian destroyers Ric. Holo and MD do dives outside on Lio and Ric. Holo spinning headscissors MD. Holo standing spanish flies MD. MD crucifix bombs him. Lio hits forearms on MD. MD corkscrew kicks him. Ric M.Bison stomps MD. Lio poisonrana's Ric and then Holo. Lio 2nd rope blind poisonrana's MD for 2. 

Lio hits a top rope frogsplash on MD and Ric breaks the pin attempt up. Ric dropkicks Holo off the apron. Lio rolls up Holo for 2. Holo spinning torture rack bombs Lio and wins.

Thoughts: It was what you would expect with lots of flying and cool moves and little logic or selling. Why this was for all this money and other matches weren't are unknown. Holo winning over Ric doesn't make any sense and just shows that Ric is sliding right back into the spot he was in WWE. 

CMLL World Women's Title Match - Zeuxis (c) vs. Mercedes Mone

Z throws Mone by the hair. Z corner euros her and kicks her in the head. Z hits a corner meteora. Mone boots her out of the corner and Z blocks her 2nd rope sunset flip. Mone is caught off the ropes with a double underhook codebreaker. Mone rolls Z into a crossface.

Z is knocked into the rail. Mone tiger feint kicks her under the bottom rope outside. Mone 2nd rope meteora's her while she's seated for 2. Z topes her and goes head first into the floor. We go to PiP break and return.

Z flying headscissors her. Z hits a top rope spanish fly for 2. Mone hurricanrana's her then backcrackers her. Mone crossfaces her. Z flips her for 2. They fight on the buckles. Z tries a 2nd rope slam but Mone rolls with it and pins her.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good as expected. They didn't get a lot of time here and that affected this one. I didn't like the top rope spanish fly not meaning anything. The finish was definitely ripped from some of Nia Jax's recent matches as she had done that finish twice recently.

Mone celebrates after. We get a Toni Storm video on the tron with her walking outside of Arena Mexico in black and white. Mina Shirakawa then appears on the stage for some reason. Toni then appears behind Mone and germans her, sending Mone's 5 belts flying. Toni and Mone fight on the ramp and the refs break it up.

Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta), The Beast Mortos & The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) vs. The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs & Samoa Joe), Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay  

Will and Mort go at it. Mort hits corner strikes then pop-up samoan drops him. Will has his head taped up like a headband. Will's flying headscissors is blocked then he chops him. Will is popped up and headscissors Mort. The Bucks do a top rope double stomp on Will while he's on the other Buck's knee. Swerve then is put on a Buck's knee and he takes a flipping neckbreaker.

Will is double hiptossed into the ropes and does a double armdrag. Will gets his eyes raked then a Buck is popped up into a headscissors on him. Will back body drops Yuta. Swerve running euros Yuta then Will running ssp's him. Swerve 2nd rope euros Yuta in the back of the neck.

Swerve backbreakers Yuta. Joe hits chops and punches on Yuta. Joe chops, kicks and elbow drops Yuta. Shibata and Yuta trade forearms. Shibata drops him with 2 of them. Yuta takes corner attacks. Yuta jawbreakers Joe. Joe and Mox trade forearms. Joe sleepers Mox. Everone in the match fights. Will enzugiri's a Buck and top rope corkscrew moonsaults a bunch of people outside including Hobbs.

We go to PiP break and return. Mox and Will trade forearms. Mox slams Will. Mox kimura's him. Will handspring corkscrew kicks Mox. Hobbs gets in and rams Yuta in the corner. He hits corner lariats on him. Hobbs short arm clotheslines Yuta. 

The Bucks hit Hobbs together. Hobbs no sells it and grabs both. Yuta sleepers Hobbs from behind. Hobbs double lariats 2 sets of heels. Will and Swerve do plancha's outside. Hobbs corner lariats Yuta. Shibata corner dropkicks Yuta then double underhook suplexes him. Hobbs powerslams Yuta.

Mort spears Hobbs and headbutts Yuta. Mort tornillo plancha's Hobbs. Joe and Mort trade. Joe corner uranages Mort. Joe takes a sliced bread from The Bucks and a superkick. Will springboards into a double superkick from the Bucks. Will then hits a botched double os cutter.

Swerve fosbury flops outside onto The Bucks. Shibata sleepers Yuta. Yuta flying knees Shibata, Shibata no sells it and PK's him. Swerve and Mox trade. Swerve rolls into a flatliner on Mox. Mox takes a superkick + brainbuster. Swerve is pushed off the top by a Buck. Mox rolls up Swerve and pins him while holding the tights.

Thoughts: It was fine. It got enough time though it did run past the 1030pm timeslot it had. It could have done longer and it wasn't the best match they could have had but it was enough.

Swerve is beaten up by the Bucks and Mox after. He's put in a choke. Adam Page then comes out. They say he was told he's not allowed to watch the main but is somehow allowed after the main ends. Page and Mox stare down and trade. Yuta joins in. Page buckshot lariats a Buck and the other Buck yells at him for it. Mox tries to sneak attack Page but ends up against all 5 faces. Mox then backs off.

Overall thoughts: It was a very heavy wrestling show with few non-wrestling segments. Page coming out to talk in Spanish got us off to a bad start as most of the fans watching at home speak English. The opener wasn't that great. Okada/Briscoe was okay but not their best. MJF/Mist had a lame finish and the selling wasn't as good as it could have been. The four way was what you would expect it would be with lots of flying and no selling. Mone/Zeuxis wasn't that good and the main was okay but not anyone's best work. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 overall. It was mostly all random matches without much build and there was little going on outside of the ring.
