Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/04/nwa-powerrr-4222025.html
There's a Natalia Markova vs Hunter intergender match that I won't be covering.
We get a video on the Jax Dane Heavyweight Title Tournament.
Billy Corgan talks to Kyle Davis in the ring. They talk about Jax Dane passing away. Billy talks about the loss and says it's tough to talk about it. Billy says Jax loved the NWA and would want them out here keeping the show going on. He says Jax used to say, "I'm a Billy Corgan guy" and calls that a tribute.
Billy talks about the titles Jax held and they do a ten bell salute for him. They then chant "Thank you, Jax".
NWA Exodus Midwest Title - Pretty Boy Smooth (c) vs Baron Von Storm
EC3 is with PB and has some of the masked guys with him. Storm has "Jax" on his hand. This is a typical random NWA match. They lock up and then trade shots.
PB slams him then misses a legdrop. Storm goes for the claw then the masked people save PB. The ref then stops the match. The masked guys are going to attack Baron but someone named Bam Bam Malone saves Storm. EC3 pulls off one of the masked guys masks and it's Brandon Baretta of SICW.
This is now a tag match:
Brandon Baretta and Pretty Boy Smooth vs Baron Von Storm and Bam Bam Malone
Bam plancha's out onto EC3's minions. Bam chops Brandon then takes an STO from PB. PB throws him on a slam. PB hits a corner splash then Brandon waistlock takedowns Bam. PB bearhugs Bam.
Bam jawbreakers PB. Storm and Brandon get in. Storm shoulders over Brandon then corner splashes him. Storm samoan drops him then lariats him. Storm camel clutches Brandon then pulls PB over the top. Bam dropkicks PB off the apron. Storm iron claws Brandon and pins him with it.
Thoughts: It random, short and not much. They did what they could with it but there wasn't a lot you could really do with it. I don't like EC3's team losing when they are basically debuting here.
Aron Stevens and BFT do a promo. He says when you get this close to opportunity, most people overreact. Aron says they couldn't get happier. Aron says Thom Lattimer is probably wondering what he's in for. He says it's the last night Thom will hold the title. Aron says time is on their side and says Thom will find out when the rest of the world does.
NWA Title - Thom Lattimer (c) vs Carnage
Aron somehow got this title shot a month ago though we don't know how exactly. The ref ejects Damage before it starts. Carn clubs on Thom then stomps him. Carn hits corner spears then throws him over the top to the floor.
Carn clubs Aron's back outside and backdrops him on the apron. Carn slams him then splashes him for 2. Carn misses a corner splash. Thom hits punches and euros. Aron Stevens trips Thom. Carn suplexes Thom. Carn lariats Thom for 2. Carn kneels on Thom on the bottom rope and Aron punches Thom. We go to break and return. Carn headbutts Thom then does a trap hold on him. Aron breaks out of it then Carn puts him in a sleeper.
Thom gets out then takes a leg lariat. Thom atomic drops him then ddt's him. Thom hits corner attacks then hits a stunner. Carn hits a spear for 2. Carn misses a top rope swanton. Thom sunset flips him for 2. Thom spears him.
They trade shots. Carn does a nice dropkick on Thom sending him out. They get back in. Carn misses a dropkick. Carn is thrown into Aron off the apron. Thom pop-up sitout powerbombs Carn and wins.
Thoughts: It was a solid heavyweight match as expected here. Carn's dropkick was nice and the two matched up well together. They got lots of time for this one and Carn didn't look out of place here at all. We still have no idea what the secret was that Aron was going to expose involving Thom and we will have to see if we get it next time.
Overall thoughts: I skipped the intergender match. I have no idea what they were going for with the singles match that turned into a tag match and I don't think it helped anyone. The main was solid with Carnage and Thom matching up well together and having an old school style match with simple but effective offense. We also had a tribute to Jax Dane here. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as it had an intergender match I had no interest in seeing and of the two matches I did see, one was good and one wasn't. I wouldn't recommend this.
