Stardom 11/23/2024 - 14th Goddesses of Stardom Tag League in Sendai (Goddesses of Stardom Tag League 2024 Day 12)

Empress Nexus Venus (Maika & Rian) vs. Empress Nexus Venus (HANAKO & Waka Tsukiyama)

Waka and Rian start us off. They lock up. Waka wristlocks her. Rian rolls through nad reverses it. Waka side headlock takeovers her. Rian headscissors her. Waka snapmares her then hits hip attacks. Waka butt drops Rian. Hana slams Rian. Waka is tagged in and basement dropkicks Rian.

Rian hits chest forearms on Waka then crossbodies her. Maika tags in. She shoulders Waka over. Maika corner lariats Hana then Waka. Waka flatliners Maika off the ropes. Hana corner splashes Maika and knee drops her.

Maika and Hana shoulder battle. Hana knocks her over. Maika shoulders Hana over. Rian hits basement dropkicks on Hana. Hana backbreakers Rian. Rian headscissors Waka out of the corner then basement dropkicks her. Hana and Maika hit corner attacks on their opponents together for osme reason then facekick them both. Maika and Hana cheer together then realize they aren't on the same team. Hna then boots Maika over.

Hana suplexes Rian for 2. Rian rolls up Hana for 2. Rian flips over Hana with a backslide for 2. Hana then catches her with her head and arm choke and lifts her for the submission win.

The two teams then raise their hands together for some reason after this.

Thoughts: As usual, Hana's finisher wasn't very exciting. It was a short one here and was pretty average. I don't think Maika put a lot of effort into this one.  

Neo Genesis (Mei Seira, Starlight Kid & Suzu Suzuki) vs. Matoi Hamabe & STARS (Hanan & Momo Kohgo)

Mei and Han trade forearms to start. Han trips her and basement dropkicks her. Matoi comes in and hits dropkicks on Mei. Mei slams Matoi. Kid stands on Matoi's back then slams her. Kid standing moonsaults her for 2.

Suzu kicks Matoi in the back then hair throws her. Suzu crabs Matoi. Matoi tries to fight back on Suzu and hits chest forearms. Suzu forearms her. Matoi hits dropkicks on her. Momo comes in and dropkicks Suzu. Momo dropkicks Suzu and Mei in the corner and 2nd rope twisting crossbodies both. Momo hits chest forearms on Suzu then Suzu rolling spears her.

Kid misses a 619 on Momo and Momo misses a 619 on her. Kid is tripped into the ropes and Momo 619's her. Han comes in and running euros Kid. Kid dropkicks Han in the leg then bangs the knee off the mat.

Han hip throws Kid then takes a double spin kick and a high low from Mei and Suzu. Kid fisherman suplexes Han and holds on for another for 2. Kid is thrown off the buckles by Momo then Matoi shoulder throws Kid. Han fameassers Kid for 2.

Kid and Han blow some pop-up spot. Kid then kicks her in the back of the head. Kid dropkicks Han in the knee then dragon screws her leg. Kid stretch mufflers her and it gets broken up. Han cuty specials Kid for 2. Kid flips out of a backdrop and headscissors Han into a roll-up for 2.

Kid stretch mufflers Han and taps her out with it.

Thoughts: Starlight Kid was in this one for the most of the match. She had some rough sessions here. Things started to go well in the middle of this but they just didn't advance on it.

Kid talk on the mic after and stares down Hanan.

Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Cosmic Angels (Aya Sakura & Yuna Mizumori) vs. God's Eye (Hina & Lady C)

Aya dropkicks C to start and forearm flurries her. Aya rolls C, cartwheels and kicks her. Yuna facebusters C into Aya's feet for 2. C slams Aya then Hina slams Aya.

Aya's head is banged off the buckles. C chops Aya then knee drops her. C stomps on Aya then giant swings her. C mounts and chokes Aya. Aya spin kicks C in the corner then dropkicks her. Yuna comes in and lariats C on the ropes.

Yuna shoulders Hina over, trips C onto her then flipping legdrops C. Yuna hits legdrops on C. They chest chop each other. C shoulders Yuna over then Yuna shoulders her over. C facekicks Yuna then Hina basement dropkicks Yuna for 2. Hina pumphandle backbreakers Yuna then crabs her.

C and Hina hit flying neckbreakers then Hina crabs Yuna. Aya and Yuna hit stereo dropkicks. They hit a lariat + chest kick combo on Hina for 2. Yuna lariats Hina over then Hina hip throws her. Yuna takes an sto + russian legsweep combo for 2. Hina drops Yuna off of her shoulder then wrist-clutch uranages her. C flapjacks Aya then Aya cradles her for 2. Hina tries to roll up Yuna put Yuna pins her off of it.

Thoughts: It was a decent outing here. Aya showed off a new move or two and they got a little more out of C than usual. This worked a bit better than expected and I liked it.

STARS (Hazuki, Koguma, Mayu Iwatani & Saya Iida) vs. HATE (Konami, Natsuko Tora, Ruaka & Saya Kamitani)

The heels attack before the bell and the fight goes outside. The faces are sent into the seats. Kamitani chokes Haz with a towel. Tora brings Iida into the ring and rubs part of Mayu's costume in her face. Iida takes boots on the ropes, a double flapjack and sentons from the heels for 2.

Kon kicks Iida in the back multiple times sthen stomps on her back. Iida is pulled down by the hair and stomped on by the heels. Iida then takes a double basement dropkick. Iida hits chops on Kamitani. Kamitani chest forearms her over then Iida double axe handles Kamitani's chest. Iida cutters Kamitani and sliding back elbows her.

Kog comes in and 2nd rope dropkicks Kamitani. Tora gets tripped onto Kamitani and Kog/Haz do stereo sleepers that are broken up. Haz 2nd rope double dropkicks the heels then Kog 2nd rope double vcrossbodies the heels. The four faces do stereo facewash kicks together.

Kamitani hits forearms on Kog then spin kicks her. Kamitani spinning heel kicks Haz. Ruaka comes in. She splashes, shoulders over and sentons Haz for 2. Ruaka takes a backcracker into a ddt then Iida is double hiptossed onto her. Mayu dropkicks Ruaka against the bottom rope then spin kicks her.

Mayu takes corner attacks then a fisherman suplexes from Ruaka for 2. Mayu trips Ruaka and basement dropkicks her. Ruaka tries to hit Mayu with a box. She blocks it then Tora hits Mayu with another box. Mayu takes a dropkick into a german. Mayu takes a double south of heaven chokeslam for 2.

Tora takes a double ddt. Mayu and Haz do stereo topes outside. Mayu germans Ruaka for 2. Everyone starts hitting a move and Iida lariats Tora over. Ruaka blocks Mayu's crucifix driver then Iida top rope diving shoulders Ruaka.

Mayu is assisted with a dropkick on Ruaka in the corner. Mayu top rope moonsaults Ruaka and wins.

Thoughts: It was a fast paced match here with a lot of action. I had no issues with it and it was a bit hard to follow at times. There was a lot of people coming in and out. Mayu's moonsault finish was nice.

Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block B Match - God's Eye (Ranna Yagami & Tomoka Inaba) vs. Neo Genesis (AZM & Miyu Amasaki)

TI = Tomoka Inaba

AZM snapmares TI and kicks her in the back. TI does the same to her. AZM trips her and is kicked from the apron. TI armbars her. Ran sleepers Miyu at the same time. TI works the arm and throws her over by it. Ran knee drops the arm and slams AZM. TI rolls AZM by the arm and armlocks her.TI kicks and boots AZM. TI takes a double basement dropkick.

Miyu gets in and running back elbows her for 2. Miyu puts her in the scholar collar and Ran breaks it up. Miyu tornado ddt's TI off of Ran for 2. TI pump kicks Miyu. Ran dropkicks Miyu then kicks her in the corner. Ran kicks her in the back for 2. Ran and Miyu trade chest forearms.

Ran chest kicks Miyu down then Miyu ddt's her. Miyu pendulum ddt's Ran for 2. Ran hits forearms on Miyu then dropkicks her. Myiu tornado ddt's Ran. Ran no sells it and high kicks her. 

AZM and TI get in and trade chest forearms. TI spin kicks her then AZM suplexes her. TI chest kicks AZM. They high kick each other at the same time and both go down together. TI rolls up AZM then AZM turns it into a rings of saturn. AZM cranks on TI's arm.

AZM misses a top rope double stomp and TI goes for the armbar. AZM takes a double punch to the gut then a high/low kick combo. Miyu then double ddt's Ran and TI. AZM headkicks TI for 2. AZM top rope double stomps TI. TI pop up spin kicks AZM then headkicks her over. AZM cradles her for 2. AZM tries to roll her up but TI reverses it for 2.

AZM canadian destroyers TI and rolls up to win.

Thoughts: It wasn't a bad effort but was mostly average. There were a lot of headkicks in this and TI was in this for a large portion of the match. The TI and AZM sections showed some promise.

Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Azusa Inaba & Rina vs. HATE (Momo Watanabe & Thekla)

AI = Azusa Inaba

Rina and AI attack at the bell. Momo takes a bulldog into a basement dropkick. Momo basement dropkicks Rina then Rina takes a double suplex. Thek sends Rina into the post.

Thek chops Rina against the post then lariats the post with her cast when Rina moves. AI hits facekicks on Momo. Rina facekicks Thek in the ring and AI tags in. AI stands on Thek's arm and elbow drops it. Rina hair throws Thek then puts her boot in the her face. Rina knee drops Thek's arm.

AI facekicks Thek and chest kicks her over. AI is tripped into the ropes and takes a kick to the head. Momo PK's AI for 2. Momo puts AI in tree of woe and makes Rina basement dropkick her. Momo suplexes AI for 2. AI flips out of a snapmare and superkicks Momo.

Rina is tagged in. She flying double knees Momo then basement dropkicks her for 2. Momo chest kicks Rina and takes facekicks for it. Rina boots Momo in the head then Momo chest kicks her over. Momo pulls Rina down by the hair and PK's her.

The comes in and headkicks Rina on the ropes for 2. Thek crossfaces her. Thek takes corner attacks and AI shotei's her. Rina 2nd rope double knee drops Thek for 2. Rina grounded octopuses Thek and Momo breaks it up.

Rina yanks Thek's arm. Rina takes a high kick from Momo and a spear from Thek for 2. Rina does an octopus on Thek and Momo breaks it up. Thek superkicks Rina then rolls her into a koji clutch variation. Rina takes a double headkick for 2. Rina hits Momo and Thek with a box. The ref sees it but doesn't care. Rina does a grounded armlock with a headscissors on Thek and taps her out.

Thoughts: Credit to Rina for actually working Thek's injured arm. You would think it would have common sense but people haven't been doing htat. I didn't like the ref allowing cheating to go on. I don't think they pursued the heel vs heel story as much as they could here. Rina was the MVP of this one which not something you see that often. It was about average though.

Rina has words for Momo after. The heels all shake hands and make friends after.

Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block B Match - Cosmic Angels (Sayaka Kurara & Tam Nakano) vs. God's Eye (Saki Kashima & Syuri)

Saya hits chest forearms on Saki. Syu kicks Saya in the butt to stop her. Syu takes a double kick. Saya basement dropkicks her then Tam lifts Saya for a double stomp on Saki. Syu gets in and kicks Saya in the back. Syu knees Saya in the corner then running knees her there.

Saya is beat up on and Saki chest kicks her over. Syu sleepers Saya and her and Saki boot Saya around. Syu hits knees to Saya's gut and bangs her head off the buckles. Saya dropkicks Syu. Tam tags in and headhunters Syu.

Tam hits corner attacks on both opponents then does a ddt + reverse ddt combo for 2. Syu and Tam miss high kicks. Syu pin kicks her then knees her on the ropes. They trade forearms. Syu shotgun dropkicks her and germans her. Tam no sells it then germans her back. Syu pumping knees Tam.

Saki flying headscissors Tam then Tam backdrops her. Saya hits dropkicks on Saki then slams her for 2. Saki 2nd rope knee drops Saya for 2. Saki shotei uppercuts Saya. Saya takes kicks to the head from both opponents at once. Tam comes in to help.

Tam and Saya do a hanging sleeper and hanging dragon sleeper in the corner. Tam top rope crossbodies Syu and Saya top rope dropkicks Saki.

Tam spinning heel kicks Syu. Tam and Saya then dive off the apron and top rope togerher onto their opponents outside. Saya top rope dropkicks Saki then Saya spears Saki for 2. Saki boots Saya over. Saya rolls Saki up for 2 and turns her crucifix into a roll-up to win it.

Thoughts: Saya getting an upset win in the main was nice but it was an odd choice for a main event otherwise with Saya being a young wrestler and Saki being not so serious. It was average and really only notable for Saya's win.

Tam holds up Saya's arm after and tries to get the crowd to cheer for her. Saya is happy and does a tearful speech for the crowd. Saya does a cheer to close the show and kisses Tam on the ropes.

Overall thoughts: I didn't like this show that much. Everything was pretty much average with nothing really sticking out. The crowd was not good here and hurt some of the matches with it. I would give this a 5 out of 10.
