NWA Powerrr 11/5/2024
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/10/nwa-powerrr-10292024.html
We see clips of Aron Stevens talking about the ladder match Odinson and Kratos had with BFT. He does a poem and complains about the bells not being rung three times like it was supposed to. He says he wants revenge.
Bryan Idol vs Carson Drake
Idol waistlock takedowns him and grabs a wristlock. They trade wristlocks and Drake ropebreaks. Idol double underhook suplexes him. Drake is then knocked out of the ring. Idol dropkicks him through the ropes and hits some punches inside. Idol is pulled down face first on the ropes and Drake knocks him out of the ring.
Drake hits knees to the body and fist drops him for 2. Drake misses a punch and takes a sling blade. Drake takes a nasty back body drop on his side then Idol running forearms him. Idol hits corner punches.
Idol misses a knee in the corner and holds his knee after. Drake grabs wrist tape and the ref stops him. Drake then nails idol with brass knucks and wins.
Thoughts: It was a random one with a dirty finish that wasn't anything too special. It didn't get a lot of time either.
We get an EC3 video. EC says he could have beaten Thom Lattimer at any point but needed to make an example of him. He says he didn't intend to lose but needed to lose. He said he needed to make something memorable and needs to become bigger than the company and the sport. He says Thom is a fraud and says he's the only leader in the NWA. He's says he's the embodiment of George Washington, Alexander, Ric Flair and Harley Race. He says he's using his rematch clause against him and says overmen become overlords.
Pretty Empowered vs Haley J and Tiffany Nieves
They all fight to start. J throws Kenzie out and Tiff chokes Kylie on the ropes. Tiff chops Kenzie then J hits boots in the corner. Kenzie is pulled down by the hair and takes double boots.
J running knees Kenzie. Kenzie cradles Tiff for 2 then is pulled down backwards. Kenzie flatliners Tiff and J knees Kenzie in the back of the head. Kenzie superkicks J. Kylie hits chops on J and hits double cross chops. Kylie spin kicks her then shining wizards J for 2.
J rolls up Kylie and pulls the tights to pin her.
Thoughts: It was a random one. The Paige Sisters were faces here for some reason. This wasn't anything special and Kylie barely did anything in this one.
Kyle Davis interviews The Southern Six. Alex says he runs the junior division and says Jack Cartwheel isn't man enough to take the title from him. Silas says he cut the cancer Colby Corino out of contention for the title and says he's no heavyweight. Silas says he's coming for Thom Lattimer too. He says Colby was only put in there with him because of nepotism. Kyle questions this and Silas says he's catching a tone with him. Silas grabs him by the jacket and Kyle asks if there's something he wants to say. Silas says he's going to be the bigger man and not knock him dead. KErry Morton and Alex Taylor then nail Kyle. Silas throws Kyle down. Colby Corino comes out to help and gets nailed as Kyle gets beaten up. Silas whips Colby with a belt
Thoughts: Uh, this was something I didn't expect. I'm not sure what this is leading to.
Boz vs Spencer Slade
Billy Corgan says he's speechless about what just happened and says he needs to review the tape. He says Kyle just set them off.
Boz and Slade lock up. Slde waistlock takedowns him then paintbrushes the back of his neck. Boz bangs Slade's head off the buckles. Slade back elbows him. Boz running boots him then lariats him. Slade germans him then elbow drops him. Slade suplexes Boz for 2. Slade running lariats Boz.
Slade rolls him into an ankle lock and Boz ropebreaks. Slade hits an air raid crash and wins.
Thoughts: It was a short and random one that was nothing of note. Slade did his Kurt Angle style offense en route to victory.
Danny Dealz interviews Thom Latimer. Thom says we did it. He says he accepts EC3's challenge. He says he's the best wrestler in the world and EC3 knows it. He says we will hear that he is still champ after their match.
We get a video showing that World League Wrestling is now part of The NWA as a territory. Joe Galli and Trevor Murdoch are there.
I will not be covering the Mr. Grim intergender match. Grim lost which is embarrassing.
Liberty Bell Brawl Rematch - The Immortals (Kratos and Odinson) vs Blunt Force Trauma
This is happening because in their prior match, the bell was only rang twice instead of three times after it broke.
BFT get the jump on their opponents. Carnage pounds on Kratos then Kratos chops him. They go head to head and trade forearms. Kratos suplexes Carnage and Odin goes into the post outside.
Kratos misses a vader bomb and Damage lariats Kratos over. Kratos takes a corner splash and then a spinebuster. Odin fights off the 2v1 and makes Damage ddt Carnage. Odin F-5's Kratos onto Damage. Odin climbs the ladder and is pushed off of it by Damage. Kratos hits a jumping forearm on Damage then Carnage spears Kratos. Odin running euros Carnage.
Aron Stevens comes in and pulls Odin off the ladder. He then superkicks Odin. Odin climbs the ladder and is grabbed by Kratos. Odin pounces Stevens then rings the bell.
Thoughts: It was short and nothing of note. They just didn't have the time to do that much here and it wasn't really half of what their last match was because of it.
They announce Colby Corino and Kyle Davis vs The Southern Six for next week.
We then see Daisy Kill and Talos sing a song on The Immortals. Daisy mocks them and basically accuses them of being lovers.
Overall thoughts: Yeah, it was your usual bizarre NWA Powerrr episode with announcers getting attacked, random matches, intergender matches and a song on how The Immortals are lovers. This wasn't good and nothing really got enough time here. I would not recommend this and would give it a 3 out of 10.
