All Japan Pro Wrestling 11/16/2024 Real World Tag League 2024 Day 3

Hokuto-gun (Aizawa NO. 1, Hokuto Omori & Kuma Arashi) vs. Baka No Jidai (Fuminori Abe, Suwama & Yuma Aoyagi)

Aizawa and Abe go at it. Aizawa side headlocks him and they shoulderblock battle. Aizawa leg lariats him. Suwama and Kuma go at it. Kuma takes boots then Suwama side headlocks him. They shoulderblock battle and Kuma shoulders him over. Yuma and Omori go at it. Omori blows him a kiss and Yuma does it back.

They shoulderblock battle after some shenanigans and Yuma dropkicks him. Omori is tripped into a Yuma elbow drop. Abe holds Omori but Suwama misses and lariats Abe. Yma then tries holding Omori and Suwama seems to purposely lariat him too.

Yuma takes corner attacks then Kuma slams him. Kuma slams Aizawa and Omori onto Yuma. Aizawa lariats Yuma for 2. Abe spin kicks Omori and Kuma in the corner. Abe baseball punches Aizawa and Yuma brainbusters Aizawa. Yuma hits a fisherman buster on Aizawa then taps him out with a guillotine + armlock.

Thoughts: It was mostly all goofing around and wasn't good. No one put in much effort here.

Real World Tag League 2024 Block B Match - Hikaru Sato & Yuko Miyamoto vs. Hokuto-gun (Cyrus & Hartley Jackson)

Yuko's team runs down from the back and attacks the heels. Everyone fights outside. Hart sends Yuko into the rails. Yuko is put in a seat and Hart chops him over. Yuko bangs Hart off the rails as Cyrus and Sato fight in the crowd. Hart bangs Yuko's head off the rails. Cy is pushed into the post.

Inside the ring, Sato hits enzugiri's on Cy. Cy then spinning heel kicks him. Hart and Yuko go at it. They shoulderblock battle and Hart knocks him over. Yuko shoulders him over. Hart suplexes Yuko. Cy bodyblocks Yuko on the ropes and stands on his gut. Cy then butt drops him off the bottom rope.

Hart chops Yuko and bangs his head off Cy's foot. Cy walks on Yuko's gut then facekicks him. Hart slams Yuko and misses a senton. Yuko hits spin kicks on him. Sato gets in and throwsthe ref at Cy. Sato then kimura's Hart. Hart hits a corner splash then lariats him over.

Yuko handspring back elbows Cy then Sato enzugiri's Cy. Cy hits a double lariat on his opponents then hits a razor's edge on Sato. Hart sentons Sato and Cy vader bombs Sato to win.

Thoughts: It was a mostly one sided match. They spent a decent portion of this messing around on the outside. I didn't like or really get why Sato pushed the ref and the match wasn't much of note.

In the post match promos, Cyrus says this is the 2nd time someone tried jumping them and paid for it. Hart says that's what you get when you mess with the two monsters. Hart says they are just beginning their path of destruction.

Real World Tag League 2024 Block B Match - Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Seigo Tachibana vs. ELPIDA (Ren Ayabe & Ryuki Honda)

Jiro did a long entrance as usual, going into the crowd for it. Ren wants to do a test of strength on Jiro but Jiro can't reach. Ren backs Jiro up on the ropes and pats his head. Ren then pushes Jrio by the head and Jiro can't hit him. Jiro stomps his foot and hits a jacket punch.

Ren misses a corner facekick and is pounded on by both opponents. Ren does a double neckbreaker. Jiro is aainst the second rope and Honda chokes him against the ropes with his knee. Honda then counts with the ref on the break.

Ren slams Jiro then sleepers him. Jiro enzugiri's him in the corner and does a spinning jacket punch. Seigo is tagged in. He running forearms Ren then eye pokes him. Ren forearms him and Seigo running forearms him. Ren slams Seigo.

Honda corner lariats Seigo then spinebusters him for 2. Seigo rolls up Honda for 2 then running facekicks him. Seigo considers doing a dive but Ren is behind him. Ren is pulled over the top. Seigo and Jiro fight on who gets to dive like usual then Seigo tope con hilos both opponents outside.

Seigo top rope crossbodies Honda. Jiro top rope dropkicks Seigo when Honda moves. Jiro takes a double suplex. Honda running lariats Seigo. Honda goes for a running one arm powerbomb but Seigo headlock takeovers him. Seigo rolls him up and crucifix bombs him after Jiro hits an enzugiri on Honda. Seigo olympic slams Honda for 2.

Seigo spinning forearms Honda. Honda does a fireman's carry takeover on Seigo and pins him.

Thoughts: It was mostly comedy as has been the case with Jiro and Seigo these days. It could have been a good serious match if they tried here but that wasn't the case.

Honda dances some after and gets Seigo to dance too. 

Davey Boy Smith Jr., Kento Miyahara & Ryo Inoue vs. Evolution (Dan Tamura & Hideki Suzuki) & Shotaro Ashino

Sho takes down Ken and Ken headscissors him. Sho headscissors him. Ken facekicks Sho and rolls out of an ankle lock. Ryo and Dan go at it. Dan side headlocks him. Ryo running facekicks him and is shouldered over. Dan is pulled out and Ryo PK's him from the apron.

Dan is sent into the rails then Ryo facekicks him on the rails outside. Ryo hits chest kicks on Dan. Dan slams Ryo on the floor. Sho and Ken trade forearms outside then Ryo is sent into the rail.

Dan pounds on Ryo in the corner. Sho comes in and karelin's lifts Ryo. Sho then steps on his face and chest. Ryo hits a double boot out of the corner then 2nd rope dropkicks Sho.

Davey gets in and forearms the other team. Davey flying knees Sho. Davey powerslams Sho then Sho germans him. Dan flying shoulders Davey for 2. Davey does a nice gutwrench suplex on Dan and tags out.

Ken gets in and running facekicks Dan. Ken rolls out of a lariat and dropkicks Dan in the side of the head. Dan samoan drops Ken. Suzuki comes in and finlay rolls Ken. Ken pump kicks him andtags in Ryo. Ryo hits a chest kick flurry on Suzuki then corner dropkicks him. Ryo enzugiri's him then chest kicks him for 2.

Suzuki takes corner attacks from his opponents and  Ryo underhook suplexes him. Suzuki blocks a buzzsaw kick and tombstones Ryo for 2. Davey tkes a forearm + elbow combo from Sho and Dan. Dan flying shoulder tackles Ken over. Suzuki double underhook suplexes Ryo and wins.

Thoughts: There were a lot of people coming and out here as expected. It was pretty average and it was hard to get anything really going with so many people getting involved here. It felt like they at least tried here and was the best match of the show up to this point which isn't saying a lot.

Dan and Sho stomp on Ken outside after. Davey helps Ken out and wants to go at it with Sho and Suzuki.

In the post-match promos, Davey said his opponents have the submission skills and suplexes, but thye have the power and intestinal fortitude. Smith says they just got a taste of what him and Ken are about. He says the are the #1 team in the RWTL.

Real World Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Makoto Oishi & Mike D Vecchio vs. MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka

Mu = Musashi, SY = Seiki Yoshioka

Mu ducks Oishi's lock-ups. Oishi then grabs him by the hair and punches him. Oishi wristlock takeovers Mu, Mu upkicks him and both pose at each other. Mike gets in and SY is tagged in. SY hits boots on Mike then Mike shoulders him over. Mike armdrags Mu then dropkicks him. Mike slams Mu then tries to drop Oishi on him but Mu moves.

Oishi takes kicks from both opponents and a double basement dropkick. Oishi is put on the 2nd rope and Mu dropkicks him for 2. SY kicks Oishi in the back. Oishi avoid a double team and tags in Mike. Mike hits a springboard double clothesline and lariats SY over. Mike catches both opponents in the air and fallaway slams both together. Mike then suicide dives both.

Mike misses a double jump moonsault and blocks SY's boot. He forearms him then SY leg lariats him. SY step up enzugiri's him. Mu gets in and slingshot boots Mike. Mike boots him out of the corner. Mu double stomps Mike's back and basement dropkicks him.

SY top rope hurricanrana's Mike then Mu top rope splashes Mike for 2. Oishi makes Mu ddt SY by punching him. Mike then gorilla presses Oishi onto Mu and SY. Mu takes a top rope double stomp + cutter combo. Mike top rope ssp's Mu and wins.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. Like the other matches, there was some comedy. Mike was really the only person trying here and he really pulled out all the stops here. AJPW really wants to push Musashi and Seiki as some kind of Rockers style tag team but they aren't that good in the ring and they don't have the fire or anything else to get those big reactions.

Mike and Oishi celebrate the win in their post match promos. Mike says they did it together. 

Real World Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Saito Brothers (Jun Saito & Rei Saito) vs. ELPIDA (Rising HAYATO & Yuma Anzai)

Yuma backs Jun up on the ropes and gets knee'd in the gut for it. Jun side headlocks him then Yuma dropkicks him. Jun shoulders him. Rei and Rising go at it. Rei shoulders him over then chops him down. Rei takes a dropkick to the knee thne a double dropkick from Yuma and Rising.

Rei double lariats Yuma and Rising. They all go outside to fight. Rei chokes Rising with a towel in the crowd. Yuma is irish whipped into seats then Rising is sent into seats. Jun choke sYuma with a towel.

Yuma is sent into the post by Jun. Rei foot chokes Rising. Rising and Yuma are put against the post and Rei splashes both of them against it. 

Yuma and Rei fight in the ring. Rei slams him then stands on his gut. Jun then joins in. Jun slams Yuma then elbow drops him. Yuma double boots Jun out of the corner and 2nd rope dropkicks him. Rising jumps off Jun's back to dropkick Rei. Rising asai moonsaults Jun for 2. Rising springboards and Jun facekicks him.

Rei chop flurries Rising in the corner. Rei corner lariats Rising. Rising leg lariats Rei. Rei double chops Yuma. Yuma dropkicks him then belly to belly suplexes him. Yuma facelocks Rei. Rei backdrops Yuma out of it.

Jun comes in and shoulders Yuma. Yum flying forearms him in the corner. Jun running facekicks Yuma then suplexes him. Jun facekicks Yuma then Yuma double underhook suplexes him.

Jun shoulders over Yuma. Yuma takes a double hiptoss for 2. Rising saves Yuma from a doomsday device then Yuma superplexes Jun. Rising hits superkicks on Jun. Rei knocks Rising over then Yuma flying knees Rei.

Jun and Yuma trade forearms. Jun is tripped into the ropes and Rising slingshot ddt's him over the middle rope onto the apron. Rising hits a springboard dropkick on Jun and Yuma germans Jun off of it. Rei clubs on both opponents then takes a superkick + flying knee combo. Rising springboard plancha's Rei outside and Yuma flying knees Jun for 2. Yuma flying knees Jun in the back of the head and germans him for 2.

Yuma hits forearms and headbutts on Jun. Jun hits a nice spear on him. Rising superkicks Rei then Rei nits a straight shot to the face. Rei crossbodies him. Yuma takes a double chokeslam for 2. Jun hits a jackhammer on Yuma then Rei lariats Rising. Yuma takes a doomsday device and Jun pins him.

Thoughts: It went longer than it needed to but it was an okay match. The Saito's wasted a bunch of time early on by fighting outside and we got a long finishing stretch here. They tried for a great one but didn't quite get there. They didn't really have the faces making hot tags which would have helped build drama here and it was essentially a tornado tag for the 2nd half.

The Saito's talk on the mic after. Oishi comes out and Rei cuts off a small piece of his beard for some reason.

Overall thoughts: The 2024 Real Comedy Tag League is off to a rough start. The first half of every show is almost all comedy and the backhalf of the show isn't enough to make up for it. Mike D Vecchio and the main event wrestlers were the only people who really tried on this show. It was a long show that was hard to sit through and not much fun to watch. I'll give this one a 3 out of 10 and do not recommend it.
