AEW Rampage 11/15/2024
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/11/aew-rampage-1182024.html

Thoughts: It wasn't bad. Grey had one of her better showings so far and didn't look bad out there. Shida no longer looks like she used to and may as well be a different person.
Renee interviews Harley Cameron. We are told Harley challenged Mina tomorrow. Harley says Mina has nothing that she does. Harley asks if Shida can do this - Harley then plays the guitar. Harley sings and plays but doesn't really say much. Harley then gets cut off.
Mark Briscoe vs Ariya Daivari
Mark Sterling gets on the mic. He says Ari about to wrestle the dumbest person in AEW. Ari tries to do the fans to do the "Athletes rule" line and they do not.

Thoughts: It went longer than it needed to and the first half was a bit boring. The winner was never really in doubt here. It wasn't bad or anything but it could have been a little better.

Kom rams Rocky into the corner. Kom rope walk ssp's Rocky and wins.
Thoughts: Komander got a rare win here. This wasn't bad. They did some flying and didn't overdo it too much.
Anna Jay is interviewed by Lexy. She faces Mariah May in a no DQ match tomorrow where she can't challenge for the title again if she loses. Anna says it's worth the risk and says she's capable of anything with no rules. Taya Valkyrie walks in. She says she's capable of anything but so is Mariah and says Mina could be anywhere. Taya asks if she wants extra insurance and says they accept cash. Anna says she minds her own business and says Taya can too. Taya tells her to stay safe out there. Anna says she won't.

Mort lariats Alec over. Alec jumps up and gets powerslammed. Alex flips off the top and hits dropkicks on Mort. Alec takes a pop-up samoan drop. Rush asks for Rich to get in. Rush pushes Rich then corner splashes him. Rush basement dropkicks Rich in the back of the head then throws him into the rails. Rush bangs Rich's head off the rails then Rush pounds on Rich.
Mort grabs Rich from the apron and Rush running forearms Rich in the corner. Rush hits his corner dropkick to Rich's face and wins.
Thoughts: It was a squash as expected with LFI winning. Holiday looked a little smaller here than he used to in his MLW days and now has a mustache.
Lexy interviews MVP. MVP confirms he is scouting talent. He says he sees so many athletes with untapped potential. He says some need motivation, some need better management and some need to be beaten down to their knees. MVP says you need to beat some people down to their knees so they can get back and learn the way you want. He says Swerve is arrogant and thinks 1 man can beat 3. MVP laughs at the idea of Swerve thinking he's more dangerous than Lashley. He says he pays attention to everything and will watch Ricochet in the main. He says he was impressed by Komander's match and says Shelton Benjamin will find out what Komnander is made of tomorrow and what lessons he needs to learn.

Dante springboards and takes a blue thunder for 2. Dante rolls up Ric for 2. Ric backdrops him and hits a running lariat. Ric then wins.
Thoughts: It was a lot more toned down than you would think and I'm not sure why. It was a high flying match and wasn't anything particularly great or special. As often is the case with AEW, a higher ranked wrestler going even with someone who is a jobber didn't go much to help the higher ranked wrestler.
Overall thoughts: It was your usual average Rampage show. There weren't a lot of new storyline developments here as usual and the biggest name on here was Ricochet. Komander vs Romero was the best match on this one. I didn't think it was that interesting and would only give it a 5 out of 10. I would not recommended this.
