WWE NXT Level Up 3/15/2024

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/wwe-nxt-level-up-382024.html

Lola Vice vs Carlee Bright

Lola takes her down then CB legsweeps her. CB flips out of a legsweep then front facelocks her. Lola waistlocks her, shoulders her over and dances. CB is flipped then she side headlock takeovers her. CB shoulders Lola over then crossbodies her.

CB lariats her on the ropes then Lola spinebusters her. Lola foot chokes her then suplexes her. Lola cranks her head then CB backslides her. CB rolls her up for 2. Lola clubs CB's back then CB cradles her.

CB hits a flying forearm and dropkick. CB does a cartwheel double kick in the corner. CB then springboards into a kick in the gut from Lola. Lola hip attacks her. Lola headscissors her with the arm and taps her out to win it.

Lola's finisher isn't that great and will not be s ticking around too long. Bright had a good showing here showing some athleticism and babyfaces tendencies. Along with being decent looking, she maybe has some potential.

Javier Bernal and Drake Morreaux are interviewed. Javi talks about Drake's power. Drake says he's a bayou boy from Louisiana and said he likes tossing gators around and people in the ring. He says he got his boots strapped up and is ready to go. Javi says they are hunting Stacks and Luca tonight. Drake then says "see you later alligator".

Stacks and Luca Crusifino vs Javier Bernal and Drake Morreaux

This is not Drake Morreaux's televised debut as he lost to Bron Breakker on Smackdown a few weeks ago as Beau Morris. Drake has some fun jazz music which makes him stick out. Eh, they'll probably get rid of it in a few weeks. Exciting theme music is not a Triple H strength.

Stacks wristlocks Javi. Javi kips up, wristlocks him then Stacks flips out of a wristlock. Drake pushes Stacks back then shoulders him over. Stacks side headlocks him then Drake's arm is codebreakered. Lucha armlocks Drake then punches him. Luca hits him off the buckles then Drake throws him off the buckles.

Drake running lariats Luca. Javi hits punches on Luca then double underhook suplexes him. Javi front facelocks Luca then Luca is thrown into the 2nd rope. Javi superkicks Luca the nspringboard elbow drops him.

Drake throws Luca hard into the buckles and Luca bumps for it. Luca flying shoulders him. Stacks gets the hot tag in and lariats Drake. Stacks 2nd rope euros Drake then corner cannonballs him. Luca and Stacks hit punches to the gut then Stacks does his knee curbstomp on Drake to win it.

It was an okay tag. Nothing special or memorable. Drake looked okay here but didn't do anything too crazy, just some lariats. I think Luca's going to need a few matches to get his face act down.

Sol Ruca vs Wren Sinclair

This is Sol's return after being out due to injury. I don't love this one though as this will be a face vs face match.

Wren does a cartwheel and they high five. Sol armlocks her then Wren hammerlocks her. Sol back body drops her then does a cartwheel. Wren trips her and facebusters her while she is seated. Sol slingshot basement dropkicks her then side headlocks her.

Wren he3adscissors her then Sol kicks down and up out of a lariat. They collide in mid-air with crossbodies. Wren chinlocks her then puts her in a cobra clutch. Sol crucifixes her and Wren back elbows her out of the corner. Wren backrolls her then Sol kips up and does a dropkick in one motion. Sol then hits the sol snatcher and wins it.

I liked the finish but I didn't think this was the right match for Sol's return. She should have gotten to show off here and it should have been a little quicker. Instead, Wren oddly got the most offense she ever got in this one.

Overall thoughts: It was a notable edition of Level Up with Drake Morreaux making his NXT TV debut, Stacks and Luca teaming up on TB for the first time and Sol returning. I wouldn't really recommend this one though.
