TNA Impact 3/7/2024

TNA Impact 3/7/2024

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/02/tna-impact-2292024.html

Kevin Knight vs Mustafa Ali

KK shoves him off and they shoulder battle. KK knocks him over. Ali goes for a leapfrog and is dropkicked in mid-air. KK bends over and is kicked then KK slalms him. KK does a standing frogsplash for 2. Ali is pulled into the ropes then rolls into a neckbreaker on him.

Ali ddt's him. He gets on the 2nd rope and KK hurricanrana's him in one jump. KK umps over a lariat and springboard twisting crossbodies him for 2. KK splashes him in the corner and hits boots to the gut. KK jumps up to the top rope then Ali 2nd rope backcrackers him.

KK flips him with a lariat then springboard crossbodies Ali's security outside. The Good Hands come out then get nailed by Sabin and Kushida. KK springboard lariats Ali for 2. The Good Hands, Sabin and Kush take the fight to the ring then Ali 2nd rope flying ddt's him. Ali misses a 450 then KK hits a sky high for 2.

Sabin and Skyler fight over a title belt then ali flying kicks Sabin off the apron. Ali hits KK with the X-Division title and gets the win.

It was what you would expect with a lot of flying without great logic or storytelling. The Good Hands, Sabin and Kushida fought throughout this one and the match really should have been thrown out.

The Good Hands hold Knight's arm and Ali top rope 450's it. Alex Shelley then comes out to clear the heels off.

Xia Brookside does a promo on Tasha Steelz. She said beating her proved she does belong here. Tasha said she needs to make an example of Xia and Xia said Tasha cheated to beat her. Tasha said they play dirty in her division and if you can't handle it, you go back to the sandbox where you belong. Jordynne Grace said she needs to challenge herself and Tasha said she will walk out a 2x champ in their match. Xia said Grace is a strong champ but asks if she can take on both of them. Grace said she will rise to the challenge and walk out champ.

Kevin Knight is being worked on in the back. Kevin is told his arm doesn't have any range of motion. The doc says he needs more than ice and says there is no way he can compete in the next 24 hours. He said they need to check on the arm. Alex tells Kevin to rest up. He says he will take his place at Sacrifice as he wants to be there for his friend. Sabin asks what that means. Alex said Sabin wasn't there for him at the PPV. Sabin said he was told not be there. Alex said he didn't think Kush would throw the towel in. Sabin said if he keeps this up, no one will want to team with him. Alex says he will go to Santino and see if he can get a Timesplitters reunion vs The Good Hands.

Ash By Elegance vs Angel Blue

George Iceman asks Angel's name and says she's not beautiful. Ash tells her to kiss her boot then hits kicks and knees on her. Ash clubs on her in the corner then hits boots to the gut. Ash tries to make her kiss her boot then bangs Angel's face off her boot.

Ash grabs her by the hair then lariats her. Lee handstand elbows her. Ash cartwheel back elbows her then suplexes her. Ash top rope swantons her and picks up the win.

George cuts off the ring announcer after, announcing Ash himself.

It was a quick squash with Angel not getting much in. I wish it wasn't though as I hadn't seen Angel before and would like to see what she can do.

Steve Maclin does a promo on Nic Nemeth from his hotel room on Skype. He said Nic is a phony and a liar. He said he doesn't want to work his way up to the top here. He said Nic can use this excuse that he's a global star in Japan, but he showed up in Puerto Rico and put the fear of God in him. He said if Nic wants to show up at Sacrifice, he will see him there. Nic then comes into his room and leaves him laying.

The Good Hands come out. They said Mustafa Ali gave people a choice between his vision and the visions of Alex, Sabin and Kushida. Skyler said the time will be split tonight when the Timesplitters get a beating at these good hands.

The Timesplitters vs The Good Hands

Kush and Jason start us off. Kush bodyscissors him and Jason rolls out of a wristlock. Kush armdrags him and Jason counters a hammerlock with a legscissors. Kush armdrags him. The Timesplitters hit a double team sequence with a knee to the body.

Alex stomps Jason's arm into the mat. Kush pulls down Jason's arm over the top rope. Kush takes a double russian legsweep and a double elbow drop. We go to PiP break and return.

Kush makes his comeback with sweeping leg kicks and does a handspring double back elbow. Alex hits chops on Jason and Skyler. Jason holds Alex's leg and John nails Alex from behind. Alex takes a slingshot spear for 2 then Jason rolls into a neckbreaker on Alex. SKyler runs the ropes with both opponents dropping down and he runs into John at full speed.

Kush is tagged in and top rope chops John. Kush hits kicks on Jason then Kush crossbodies Jason. John takes a double team combo that ends in a cartwheel into a basement dropkick. John gets a 2 count on Kush then Jason blue thunders Kush for 2.

Jason is knocked off the buckles to the outside. Alex trips John from the outside. Kush kimuras John and wins it.

It was a fast paced affair and The Good Hands had a goof showing in this one. I didn't expect to like it much but I was entertained here. The Good Hands really ran into each other hard here and Jason had his working boots on.

Dirty Dango, Oleg Prudius and Alpha Bravo are outside. Dango says him and Oleg will dominate the tag division and go into the TNA Tag Team Hall of Fame. Dango said he's going into each market and wrestling the best tag team with under a year's experience. He then tells people to donate.

Dango asks why Josh Alexander wears head gear and asks if he has no ears. He said he's not interested in exchanging chops. He said he's interested in the exposure tonight as then indy marks will want to join his wrestling school for $60 a head. This was AEW comedy stuff with them using shoot terms.

The Good Hands talk to Mustafa Ali. They apologize for the loss and say it was more of a fact finding mission then a loss. Ali thanks them for their support. He said he needs to re-strateize everything for the 6-man match and says the Grizzled Young Vets are better suited for that task then them. He thanks them for their continued support and says in Ali, we trust. Hotch asks if we are going to let that slide and Skyler says that guy is incredible.

Masha Slamovich vs Dani Luna

Masha armlocks her then Luna corner lariats her. Luna hits a sliding lariat then suplexe sher. Kelly chokes Luna on the ropes then Masha kicks the ropes into Luna. Masha snapmares Luna multiple times and PK's her. Masha camel clutches her and spin kicks her.

Luna dropkicks her in the knee then Masha up kicks her. Masha hits short arm lariats and Dani hits punches back. Dani dropkicks her then exploders her. Masha takes a nasty slingshot blue thunder bomb for 2. Masha throws her backwards for 2 then Dani cradles her for 2. Masha superkicks her and lariats her over. Masha fireman's carries her into a sitout powerbomb to win it.

There were a couple of neat moves here but also some moves that weren't too hit clean. I thought it was so-so overall.

Alan Angels vs PCO

Alan hits punches in the corner. PCO throws him off and takes a spin kick. Alan enzugiri's him and shorts ddt's him. Alan misses a frgosplash then takes a face kick and lariat. PCO chokeslams him then hits a top rope moonsault to win.

It was a quick squash here which is unfortunate since I would have liked to have seen a little more of this.

Kon comes down and swings a chair at PCO after. Kon hiptosses PCO onto the ramp and chair. Kon grabs a chair and Alan grabs him. Kon then does his head twist move on him and PCO grabs a chair. They duel with chairs and Kon is hit in the gut and back with the chair. They trade shots and fight to the back.

Crazzy Steve does a promo. He says misery is a delicate art, as you need to instill hope and take it away. He says each time he defends his title, the story of your life will be your death. This was hard to hear and I have no idea what he was talking about.

Eric Young comes out. He said sacrifice isn't just the name of an event, it's his way of life. He said he gave everything to this company and would do it again. He said Moose has what he desires most. He said he will keep coming forward. He said Moose may end up being one of the best when this is all done. He said the dead don't get deader and he's playing for keeps at Sacrifice.

Moose comes out. He says Eric is a world class maniac. He said he has all these stupid idiots believing the crap that comes out of his mouth. Moose said Eric's been in TNA for a long time and says his time is over at Sacrifice. He said he doesn't care about all of his sacrifice. He said he can bring his passion and determination, but the outcome will be the same.

He said he loves a good fight. He said let's not wait until tomorrow night and give the people a New Orleans street fight. Moose said that's not how The System works. Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers then jump Eric. Moose spears Eric. Alisha Edwards comes down with a chain. Moose wraps himself in the chain then spears him. ABC eventually come and make the save for Eric.

Dirty Dango vs Josh Alexander

Oleg Prudius and Alpha Bravo are with Dango. Bravo says Dango is the real ODB of TNA. Dango says he hates pro wrestling.

They do some mat wrestling and Dango front facelocks him. They take each other down and Josh goes for an armbar. Josh headlock takeovers him then shoulders him over. Josh rolls him into a waistlock. Josh northern lights suplexes him for 2. Dango boots him out of the corner and is flapjacked. Josh ankle locks him. We go to PiP break and return. Dando boots him out then Bravo grabs Josh's foot. Dango knocks Josh off the apron. Dango dragon screws him outside then drops Josh's knee on the apron. Dango indian deathlocks him and Josh fights his way out. Dango bangs Josh's leg off the post.

Dango is pulled into the post. Josh tries to run him over inside but falls over then Dango chops him. Josh 2nd rope dropkicks him. They trade punches and Josh finlay rolls him. Josh 2nd rope kneedrops him on the neck for 2.

Dango drops him crotch first on the 2nd rope then slingshot legdrops him down. Dango then hits a nice falcon arrow for 2. Josh hits triple german suplexes for 2. They fight up top and Dango is alley ooped to the outside. Josh then top rope flip dives Dango, Bravo and Oleg outside.

Dango tornado ddt's him then misses a top rope legdrop. Josh turns it into an ankle lock and taps him out for the win.

I liked Dango's slingshot legdrop and falcon arrow here. Other than that, Dango worked the leg for a bit but that ended up going nowhere. Josh then made his comeback and tapped him out with ankle lock. I never like work the body part matches where the body part is forgotten about and that's what happened here.

Overall thoughts: I liked the tag match but not much else. TNA only had 2-3 shows before PPV's here and it just wasn't enough time. They also did all of these tapings within 2 days and because of it, had a more limited roster to work with than usual. I wouldn't recommend this one.
