Mid-States Wrestling 3/22/2024 Season 2, Episode 1

David McBee and Brittani Houghtlen are the hosts. Ryan Lee is our interviewer.

The Rabid Empire come out for an interview. They are from the UK. Nigel Rabid (the manager of the group) says the people already know who he is. He said this isn't just about him as his team is here to make a statement. He said he will make sure they have every opportunity to dominate MSW.

Jimmy Fiasco vs Lord Ateu

Ateu is one of the members of The Rapid Empire. We go to break and return before it starts. Lord charges at Jimmy and Jimmy side steps him. Lord's head is banged off the buckles then he takes down Jimmy by the hair. Lord eye rakes him then Lord's partner Dredd and Nigel get cheapshots in on Jimmy. Lord splashes Jimmy and wins it.

This was quick and there wasn't much to it before the finish.

The blue puppet is selling tickets then Burt Cameron and Blue Bolt come up to him. The puppet says he's not selling tickets to the wrestling show, but to the gun show and says he's been pumping iron. The wrestlers then walk away and aren't amused.

El Matadors (Uno and Dos) vs Burt Cameron and Blue Bolt

Dos avoids Burt's lockups then Uno gets in. Uno then does the same and dances. Bolt armdrags Dos then Uno gets armdragged too. Bolt drops down on Uno then Burt lariats Uno. Burt spinebusters Uno for 2.

Uno takes a double back elbow then Uno hits some shots on Bolt. Dos hits shots to the gut of Bolt then chokes him. Uno chokes Bolt when ref isn't looking. Bolt hits shots on Uno and drops him twice. Bolt lariats Uno for 1.

We go to break and return. Burt is rolled up by Uno then Dos slaps Burt. Burt backdrops Dos then spinning suplexes him. Bolt top rope splashes Dos and picks up the win.

It was a simple tag with clear faces and heels. Nothing wrong with it and it was very average.  

Overall thoughts: There were only 2 matches a promo here. It wasn't anything special and not worth seeing. It was not awful or anything, it was just short and had no great matches or moments. I also still don't get what the deal is with the blue puppet.
