WWE Main Event 2/7/2024
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/02/wwe-main-event-1312024.html
Piper Niven and Chelsea Green vs Tegan Nox and Natalya
Natty flips out of a wristlock and rolls Green up. Natty swings Green's leg down and she falls down. Nox messes up a casadora stunner on Piper then Green and Piper take stereo PK's. Green takes a slingshot backdrop then a basement dropkick from Natty. Piper splashes Natty then slams Nox on her. Piper then sentons both while they are stacked on each other.
Piper corner splashes Natty then Green foot chokes Natty. Natty escapes the corner and tags in Nox. Nox hits punches on Green and euros her. Nox corner sentons Green then kicks Piper off the apron. Nox top rope crossbodies Green for 2. Green takes a hart attack for 2. Green does something like a zig zag on Nox then takes a spinning lariat from Natty. Natty sharpshooters her and lets go as Piper gets in. Natty goes for the sharpshooter on Piper and is rolled up for 2. Natty sharpshooters Green and taps her out. Nox hit a cannonball off the apron as this happened but we didn't see it until after.
They didn't hit everything clean in the first half of this but the second half was better. Road Dogg was on commentary here and had a rough time as he seemed to be worried about saying something offensive.
Nox and Natty pose with the fans in the front row after.
Bronson Reed vs Apollo Crews
They collide with shoulders and Crews dropkicks him twice. Reed bodyblocks him. Reed comes off the apron and takes a knee from crews. Crew moonsaults off the apron onto Reed.
We go to break, even though this doesn't air on TV, and return. Crews enzugiri's him from the apron and misses a top rope crossbody. Reed elbow drops him then twists his head. Reed flapjacks Crews then misses a senton. Both men are down.
Crews corner splashes Reed and pump kicks him in the side of the head. Crews flying lariats him then enzugiri's him. Crews top rope crossbodies him for 2. Crews jumping knees him then Reed lariats and sentons him. Reed top rope splashes him and gets the win.
It was a short, throwaway match. Nothing was wrong with it but there was nothing real memorable about it either.
Overall thoughts: There were only two matches here as usual. Neither one of them were that special or worth going out of your way to see.
