Pro Wrestling NOAH 2/4/2024 Cross Over 2024 in Sendai

They all compete for crowd support and LJ starts a GLG chant. They do a triple lockup. LJ fights off various pin attempts and dodges a double dropkick. Mack and Ale go for backslides. LJ pushes them to give each one the advantage then puts them down and tries to pin both.

LJ jumping knees Ale. Ale gets a pin attempt on LJ then misses a cancun tornado. LJ springboard dropkicks Mack then ushigoroshi's Ale to win it.

I liked it. It was mostly all flying but they didn't overdo it and they had a story going on with Mack and Ale trying to work together.

Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura & Ulka Sasaki vs. REAL (Saxon Huxley, Shuhei Taniguchi & Timothy Thatcher)

REAL jump up and down then charge at the bell. TT and Ulka go at it. They trip each other and TT rides him on the mat. Ulka rolls into a leg lock and TT kicks him. Marufuji and Sax get in. Sax wants a test of strength but he's too tall for Maru. Maru then gets on the 2nd rope and challenges him to a test of strength.

Well, it was good to see Ulka get a win here snce he's a name of some value and it'd be wise to make him look good. It wasn't that great otherwise. Marufuji missed some of his offense and it was older guys looking old.

Yoshinari Ogawa & Yu Owada vs. Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa

Owada and Oiwa start us off. Oiwa takes him down and thye trade wristlocks. Owada headflips then Oiwa headlocks him. Oiwa shoulders him over and hits an armdrag. Owada dropkicks him then Ogawa gets in.

Ogawa headlocks Oiwa then shoulders him over. Oiwa dropkicks Ogawa. Kaito gets in and fights Ogawa. He arm and wristlocks him then is armdragged over but holds onto the hold. Ogawa armdrags him again and Owada gets in. Kaito pushes Owada down into a bridge and Owada gets back up.

They trade dropkicks and Kaito dragon screws him. Owada takes a doomsday device crossbody then Kaito half-nelson sitout slams Owada to win it.

This was a basic young lions match for the most part with Kaito, who was once the ace of the company. I don't know what they are doing with Kaito, but I don't get it. If you had told me Kaito was a young lion like Oiwa and Owada here are, I'd totally believe you if I didn't know better. Kaito didn't look good here and it was a slower match with a lot of dropkicks.

Junta Miyawaki, Kazuyuki Fujita & Shuji Kondo vs. GLG (Jake Lee, Tadasuke & YO-HEY)

I don't know about this one. Jake and Fujita lock up. JAck backs off and bows. They shoulder battle and Fujita headlock takeovers him. Jake headscissors him and they stand off. Shuji headlocks Yo then shoulders him over. Yo flying headscissors him and kips up.

Shuji corner lariats Tada, holding him there. Shuji does a bulldog + flying neckbreaker combo then lanzarse's Tada. Shuji takes a knee in the corner from Yo then is ddt's by Tada. Fujita and Jake get in.

Jake step up kicks him then Fujita puts him in a choke. Fujita suplexes Jake then double suplexes Yo and Tada. Jake back body drops Fujita then knees him. Jake hits a germaon Fujita then Fujita germans him. Junta gets on Shuji's shoulders and is flipped over onto Jake.

Junta comes off the top and into a knee from Jake. Jake backdrops Junta and wins it.

It was long and not good. I didn't like Fujita watching his partner be put in a hold and pouring alcohol in his mouth. What if Junta tapped out and they lost there? Stupid stuff. There were few highlights here.

They have Jake and Fujita stare down after in what would be guaranteed to be one of the most boring matches of the year.

Daga misses a jay driller but they sell it like he hit it anyway. Daga wins it.

They botched the finish here and it wasn't anything special. No real story or anything. It was kind of even on who got the most offense in and just a general unimpressive juniors match.

Jack spears the post when Bane moves then Bane is flipped into a top rope hurircanrana on AG. Wolf tope con hilos Jack outside. AG superkicks Wolf then diving canadian destroyers him off the top. It went too long, they did way too much and didn't sell any of it. The first half was okay with them mostly sticking to flying but then there was a second half to it where it was flying plus all kinds of vicious moves.

Doc grabs a waistlock then trips him. Doc shoulders him over then Ken rolls him. They end up doing a pose off. Doc trips him, pulls him out and sends him into the rails. Ken top rope double stomps Doc for 2.  Ken misses a moonsault then is rolled up and cradled for 2. Doc lariats him then cradle shocks him for 2. Doc hits a triple jump moonsault and wins it in a total shocker.

It was decent main event. It went long at almost 30 minutes but didn't get boring and they didn't do too much. Doc winning is a total shocker, but I don't really have a problem with it. Ken's been on top in one way or another forever and Doc winning it is maybe a chance to establish someone different.

Overall thoughts: I wasn't a big fan of this show. I liked the main and I somewhat liked the opener, but not the rest. They did too much in the semi-main and the junior singles title match didn't impress me. Kaito was treated like a young lion again and the Jake/Fujita tag was boring. Every match minus the opener was over 10 minutes here and it made for a long show.
