National Organization Wrestling TV 7/23/2022 Sabados de Furia 9

We are told Julio Jimenez will be with us tomorrow and says there will be some big surprises tomorrow.

Title Match - Hardcore Rules - Jay Justice (c) vs El "Insuperable" Mariachi

Mariachi is the heavier guy in the full mask and Jay Justice is the bald guy with just the face mask.

Jay jumps him on his entrance then hits and chokes him with some kind of stick. Jay gets a cookie sheet and Mariachi fights him off with the stick. Mariachi hits him in the head with the pan. Jay is put in the seats and gets chopped there. Mariachi tries to ram his head into the post but ends up going into it. Jay grabs a fork and they fight over it.

Mariachi then grabs the fork and hits him in the head with it. Mariachi dances and taunts the fans then is sprayed down by a fan with a water bottle. Jay starts to bleed and Mariachi puts the fork in the wound.  Jay begs off then low blows Mariachi hard. Jay then sticks the fork in Mariachi's mouth. Jay then grabs a broom and rubs it in his face and chokes him with it.  Jay breaks the broom over Mariachi's back. Jay then gets an even bigger wooden stick and hits him with it.

Jay then pulls his belt out and whips him with it. They finally get in the ring and Jay pours thumbtacks on the mat. Mariachi spinebusters Jay on it. Mariachi grabs a cookie sheet and Jay throws powder in his face. Jay then hits him with the cookie sheet and wins it.

This was nothing but hardcore wrestling here. It was fine for what it was but wasn't anything particularly great. The spots were simple and they sold, so I was fine with it. 

Tu A Tu con Jorgie Love

Love is some clear overly gay character. He talks about the show on the 24th and says he has a special guest today - Jay Justice and Luis Cruz. They take off Jorgie's hat. Luis says the boa around his neck is a duster for cleaning. Luis says he and Jay are the champions of Puerto Rico. Jay talks to a painting of a little girl on the wall. Jorgie says he doesn't know who invited Luis. Luis and Jorgie argue about how this interview was set up. Luis says Mariachi and his partner will have a shot at their tag titles in an extreme rules match. He said they will wait for Mariachi at the show for the extreme rules math. Jay says he and Luis have been waiting for the extreme rules match and says no one can take his title away in an extreme rules match. Jay yells at Jorgie after and Jorgie blows a whistle at him.

Tigre Azteca vs Maximus E

E tries to leap frog but gets punched and armdragged. They fight outside and trade punches and if I understood it correctly, these two teamed up to fight Funcion Positive and lot. E gets his shirt put over his head and he is chopped. Tigre chops him on the back then slams him inside.

E hits a nice belly to belly and Tigre backs off before taking lariats. They mess up something and Tigre does a flip for no reason. E then sentons him. Tigre hits a nice side effect and grabs the win in a quick one.

It wasn't too bad with some decent early brawling.

El Mariachi is seen on the phone. He said N.O.W. has a lot of opportunities and seems to be making a sales pitch for someone to come. Luis Cruz walks in. He shows him the title and says he has what he wants. He mocks him and makes a comment about his children. Mariachi swings at him then Jay Justice drops him with a cookie sheet shot. Cruz then talks trash as Jay hits him. He then tells him to send something to his wife and children as Mariachi is left laying.

 

We see clips from last week's triple threat tag title match. We then see clips of the Star Brothers promo about losing the tag titles.

Ashur Valentine cuts a promo in front of a ring while people take bumps in it. He calls out The Star Brothers. Someone starts sweeping the ring behind him and Ashur tells Abdul Farid to beat up the guy sweeping the ring. He tells the Star Brothers that this will be them on Sunday at Revancha de Verano.

Luis Cruz does a promo. Luis talks about a promoter of NOW named Felix Perez Matias. He isn't happy with him hooking up with Julio Jimenez. He calls him poor and says he is old. Luis says he is a good and honest person and says someone is going to face Ryan Red. 

Bandido vs La Bestia?

I have no idea who Bandido is facing. I tried and couldn't find anything since he was an open challenger. They brawl to start and Bestia is hit with a can and has his head banged off a pick-up truck.

They get in the ring and Bandido lariats him. Bandido flips off the fans and takes corner punches. Bestia takes a nice boot in the corner for 2. Bestia then rolls up Bandido for 2 and takes a Bandido lariat. Bandido running knees Bestia then headbutts him. Bandido then corner cannonballs him for 2. Besita back body drops Bandido then splashes him. Bandido flying kicks Bestia and grabs the win.

It was short and simple and there wasn't anything wrong with it. Just an average match.

We see clips of Cruz, Leinord White and Ashur Valentine beating up El Mariachi. Luis says he needs to be handed over the presidency. We then see Luis talking to Black Trebol over the phone.

We cut to Black Trebol's hotel room. He is fighting for the title on July 24th but implies he is not interested in the total. He talks about places he wrestled in.

Aiden Grimm then does a promo. He says he respects him and says he is no longer a little boy that Trebol knew, but the champion. He said he is determined to leave the show as champ.

Trebol then does another promo on Aiden Grimm. He says he is a young man with a bright future but he will have short reign when he beats him. He says we will see if youth can beat experience.

We then see a clip of someone watching on a phone laughing.

Ryan Rett does a promo. The audio for this is messed up. He says he will be prepared.

El Bori does a promo on Luis Cruz. He said he doesn't know what he did to him but says Cruz seems to have it out for him. He talks about El Bori. He said he has made it in wrestling on his own efforts. He said only his dad believed he could make it. He talks about having to deal with Jay Justice. He said he holds a bias towards him due to his physique, but he says a real champion is proud of himself and the people and is loyal and faithful. He says you have to have balls and heart. He says on the 24th, he rights Ryan Red. He said it'll be a good time to show how well he can wrestle against him. He said he knows the fight will get heated and says he is the son of Boriken. He says he will show that it is better to give than receiver.

Luis Cruz then does a promo with Jay Justice. He says he will take the company to a new level with Jay Justice and they are carrying a cookie sheet they hit Mariachi with. Jay says no one can take the title away from him. He says the cookie sheet is a painting and a work of art that he painted. Cruz said Mariachi has a title thanks Felix the Promoter and says he won't hold it for long. This was a fun promo with Jay Justice playing up the character well.

Overall thoughts: This was a decent episode. The three matches were okay and we had a couple of good promos here. I also got a kick out of Mariachi getting nailed with the cookie sheet from Jay.
