CWA Campeones del Hexagono 7/23/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/07/cwa-campeones-del-hexagono-7162022.html

This show can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92E8JU_rJ8o

Their next show is Colision En La Bahia on July 30th, and this builds to that.

We see the Angel Rodriguez and Los Inmortales promo on Manuel Rodriguez from last week. They said they accept Manuel's challenge, but he has to put his titles on the line.

Kendrick vs Super Georgie

We have some technical problems here as the sound goes out and we see his graphic like 4 times. Kendrick works some Scottish gimmick with suspenders and a kilt, which is quite the unusual outfit. Kendrick works the arm early then Georgie cartwheels out of a wristlock and kicks him. Kendrick goes for a slam but is armdragged. Georgie then walks up the buckles and bounces off the ropes into a hurricanrana on him. Georige then dropkicks him out.

They trade shots on the floor then Georgie top rope crossbodies him for 2. Georgie hits a chop in the corner then Kendrick black hole slams him. We go to break and return with Kendrick punching him in the head. Georgie headlock takeovers him then traps his arm and pulls on his head. Kendrick comes back with a senton.

Kendrick hits chops and Georgie comes back with his own chops. Kendrick corner splashes him then meteoras him in the corner. Georgie samoan drops him then hits some running corner moves. Georgie then gets a bunch of offense in for 2. Georgie misses a 2nd rope moonsault and Kendrick grabs his Scottish flag. The ref stops him and Georgie rolls him up and wins it.

It went too long for me even though the crowd liked it. George was real slow during his comeback which hurt it.

Georgie took the flag after, but then just threw it down.

Voltech Rivera does a promo for their next show - Colision En La Bahia. He's facing Eros and says he doesn't want to use him as a stepping stone - he wants to get to the whole mountain and quickly.

Leandra vs Alisson

Her tagline is "the daughter of violence". They say she is a 3rd generation wrestler. She's a big girl.  Alisson, "the black pearl" is her opponent.

Alisson totally misses on some punches early and Leandra rolls out after stomps. Alisson hits punches outside and is pushed into the apron. Leandra drops her with a punch in the ring then stands on her chest. Alisson then rolls her up out of nowhere for 2. Alisson hits a clothesline then running knees her.

We go to break and see highlights from a title match I think with Leinord White vs Manuel Rodriguez. White loses and Hansel Velez comes out. They say Rodriguez isn't an official roster member and they are going to try and force him to defend the title regardless. We then go to a Colision en La Bahia commercial.

We eventually return to the match after 7 minutes and Leandra slams her down. Leandra gets on her back and full nelsons her, winning via submission.

The long break during this was bizarre and what we did get of the match wasn't too good.

The commentators say they are working on bringing the women's title back. The ref helps out Alisson then Leandra jumps her and pounds on her. Hansel Velez and other refs have to get involved to stop it.

Eros cuts a promo about his match with Voltech Rivera. He said he didn't succeed in his last match but he is training hard. He did not like Voltech calling him a stepping stone. He said he hopes he is ready.

We go to Manuel Rodriguez and Hansel Velez in Velez's office. He said he can't put Manuel up against Los Inmortales for his safety, but he is willing to put him in seperate singles matches with them for his Intercontinental Title and I think his World Title.  He will face Tanque Tapia of Los Inmortales for the Intercontinental Title.

A wrestler who I believe is Alfred Alan walks in and he speaks in English and Spanish. He wants a shot at one of Manuel's titles. Manuel then says he has to go and Alfred says he will get to know more about himself. Alfred then sits down to talk to Velez. Velez tells him if he wants a shot at the titles, he just needs to sign the contract. Alfred seems skeptical, and Velez says he has to sign a contract just to get the opportunity. It seems like there is more to this.

We see clips of Manuel Rodriguez vs Leinord White.

We then get another commercial for Colision En La Bahia and that's it.

Overall thoughts: The women's match having a 7 minute break where they showed clips from another match was weird stuff. The storyline of Manuel Rodriguez being champion without being a member of the roster isn't super exciting stuff, but at least it is something. I thought they could have gotten more out of this show as they really only had a few segments. I wouldn't recommend this one.
