Big Japan Pro Wrestling 6/29/2022 Bloody Musou Tournament Round 1 - Sanzen Sekai

Big Japan Pro Wrestling 6/29/2022 Bloody Musou Tournament Round 1 - Sanzen Sekai

I saw 4 of the 5 matches:

Kota Sekifuda and Yuko Miyamoto vs Kazuki Hashimoto and Satsuki Nagao

Yuko and Kaz do some technical wrestling. Nagao headlocks Kota then Kota armdrags him. Kota puts a cobra clutch on Nagao. Yuko and Nagao go at it then Nagao botches some running attack on him. Kaz clips Yuko's knee at 5 minutes then misses a kick and gets ankle locked. Kaz belly to belly suplexes Yuko then Yuko tags out.

Kota gets in and top rope dropkicks Kaz. He then dropkicks him through the ropes. Kota does a slingshot stomp on Kaz then splashes him for 2. Nagao running forearms Kota then neckbreakers him for 2. Kota backdrops Nagao into double knees for 2. Yuko gets crotched on the top rope then Nagao either tries to hurricanrana or dropkick Kota and he no sells it. Kota then backdrops him onto his knees for 2. Kota then frogsplashes Nagao for the win at 10:46.

This wasn't good. Nagao had a bad night.

Afterwards, Yuko and Kaz continue to fight and Yuko falls off of the apron on him in hilarious fashion.

Barbed Wire Boards Death Match - Abdullah Kobayashi, Hideyoshi Kamitani & Kankuro Hoshino vs. Daiju Wakamatsu, Yuichi Taniguchi & Yuki Ishikawa

Hoshino and Kami push each other before it starts then a brawl breaks out. Abby is whipped into a barbed wire board and punished there. Daiju and Yuki then get thrown out. Abby gets stuck in the barbed wire and Kami hits people outside with a cowbell.

Yuki is thrown into a post and Kami beats up a ring boy and Taniguchi near the truck. Hoshino gets back body dropped on the floor and everyone is split off fighting somewhere. Daiju then gets back body dropped on the floor. Abby throws a barbed wire kendo stick at Taniguchi.

Hsohino and Daiju trade forearms then Daiju does a shotgun dropkick on Hoshino. Yuki hits Kami with the barbed with kendo stick then Hoshino is suplexed on the floor. Kami and Abby got get whipped into the truck then Yuki climbs the truck. Yuki jumps off the truck onto people.

We finally get into the ring again and Taniguchi walks the top rope with Abby's arm then is thrown off the top. Daiju headbutts Abby then top rope dropkicks him. Daiju flipping sentons Abby for 2. Abby lariats Daiju then shining wizards him. Abby then elbow drops him but Taniguchi hits the ref and stops the count.

Kami charges and smashes a barbed wire board into Daiju then slams him on it. Daiju butterfly suplexes Kami on the bared wireboard then Kami uranage's him. Kami lariats Daiju then Hoshino and Daiju trade forearms. Daiju flying forearms and spinning neckbreakers Yuki. Hoshino samoan drops Yuki then Yuki takes a 1v3. Hoshino STO's Yuki onto a barbed wire chair for 2.  He misses a top rope senton and has the barbed wire chair thrown at him. Yuki blue thunders him for 2 then top rope double stomps a barbed wire board on him. Yuki then beats Hoshin with an emerald fusion at 14 minutes while Daiju and Abby fight outside.

The match was backwards as they fought outside early then got inside, but I thought it was good. The truck spots were something different I liked the outside brawling. Since they had so many people in there, they didn't have to worry so much about the selling and story telling and that definitely helped this.

Hoshino and Kami then go at it after.

Daichi Hashimoto, Ryo Hoshino & Takuya Nomura vs. Strong BJ (Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi) & Yasufumi Nakanoue

Ryo and Nakanoue starts us off but don't do anything. Nomura takes down Sek and back kicks him. Hash and Oka get in and don't do much. Ryo hits forearms on Oka and Oka knocks him down easy. Oka hits a big slam on him then Nakanoue backdrops him. Nakanoue vader bombs Ryo for 2 then puts him in a deep high angle crossface.

Ryo 2nd rope dropkicks Nakanoue then Hashimoto kick combos Nakanoue. Hash flatliners/ddts Oka and Nakanoue then Nakanoue flying clotheslines Hash. Sek forearms Hash against the ropes then clotheslines him against the ropes. Sek then splashes Hash for 2. Hash uranage's Sek then Nomura kick flurries Sek. Nomura suplexes Sek and they trade forearms.

Nomura hits kicks then dropkicks Sek. Sek then hits him with a big lariat and Nomura suplexes him back. Oka gets in and shoulders over Ryo then corner lariats him. Ryo running forearms him then Oka running slams him. Ryo takes a double shoulder from Sek and Nakanoue and Ryo rolls up Oka for 2 off a suplex. Ryo dropkicks him and backslides him for 2. Oka hits a big spear on Ryo for 2. Oka then racks Ryo and submits him at 16:30.

This was a solid trios match. Not great or super remarkable but Ryo got a nice comeback run near the end and Nomura's stuff was good as usual. It was a little one sided, but they gave the faces enough to make it work.

Bloody Musou Tournament First Round 300 Fluorescent Lighttubes Death Match - Ryuji Ito vs. Jaki Numazawa

There's tubes laying on the mat and they break them by stepping on them to start this. Jaki goes into the tubes on the ropes first then is slammed on the tubes on the mat. Ito breaks tubes over Jaki's head then Ito gets sent into the tubes on the ropes. They go outside and Jaki stabs Ito with a tube. Jaki gets whipped into the post then Ito stabs him with a nail brush.

Ito hits him with a gusset plate cross then kicks tubes into his back. Ito chairs tubes on him then axe kicks tubes into his back. Ito then northern lights suplexes him. Jaki comes back with a ddt then hits a pepsi twist for 2. Jaki is up top and gets hit with a chair. Ito then superplexes him onto chairs.

They throw bundles of tubes at each other then hit each other with tubes. Ito blocks red mist with tubes then takes a rolling fireman's carry on the tubes. Jaki runs at Ito with tubes and Ito kicks a bundle of tubes into Jaki. Ito slams Jaki on the side of a chair then Ito top rope frogsplashes tubes onto Jaki for the win.

This was little but weapons shot but it was fine. They didn't do anything dumb and it made sense.

Overall thoughts: The top 3 matches were good, so this gets a thumbs up from me. There was some good house show action here.
