WWE NXT UK 6/30/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/06/wwe-nxt-uk-6232022.html

Angel Hayze vs Blair Davenport

This is Blair's return after getting injured in a title match against Meiko. Blair runs into the buckles as Angel jumps over her. Angel then dropkicks her in the side of the head for 2. Blair arm throws Angel and trips her. Blair shoulders her over and chinlocks her. Blair kicks her in the corner then sliding kicks her against the bottom rope.

Angel forearms and back elbows her in the corner and spinning forearms her. She then sling blades her for 2. Blair hits a 2nd rope dropkick then Angel guillotine clutches her with a body scissors. Blair nothern lights suplexes her out of it then falcon arrows her to win it.

The crowd didn't care at all and this really wasn't too good. Angel still hasn't showed much and Blair didn't have a good return here.

Blair says she is back after and says she will crush all of our hopes.

Sid Scala sees Kenny Williams in his office. Kenny is going through a WWE Encyclopedia and thinks he knows who Tiger Turan is. Tiger Turan then walks in and stares him down. Kenny says he will beat him, knock him out and take his mask off. Kenny then tells him to clean up the mess Kenny had made.

Noam Dar and Sha Samuels are in the Performance Center. They argue with Mark Coffey. Mark says Sha was the reaspon he lost against Dar and says he would beat him if Sha isn't at ringside. Sha bets on it at 100:1. Sha is happy to take the bet and Dar is not thrilled as others were making bets and the match kind of gets made without his input.

Emilia McKenzie vs Fallon Henley

Emilia takes her down early and hammerlocks her. Fallon rolls her up. Emilia grabs her arm and backrolls, then locks up her ankle. Fallon pushes her off and she cartwheels. They then try some pinfall attempts. Fallon shoulders her over then hiptosses and armdrags her. Emilia hits a spinning neckbreaker for 2.

Fallon tries some pin attempts and Emilia back elbows her. Emilia puts her in a cobra clutch and they trade forearms. Fallon facebusters her then goes up and over in the corner and tweaks her leg. Emilia spears her leg and works on it. Fallon then jumps over her back to sunset flip her and win it.

The ending was a little surprising and this was better than I expected. The finish was kind of random though.

Oliver Carter is interviewed then Die Familie shows up behind him. They say he's by himself and nobody is here like he just debuted. They said he needs a family and they say they will watch his back. Raja says it is in his best interest to join them. Either way, it gives him something to do.

Sarray is seen working out talking about her debut. She was exicted then Eliza and Xia walk in. They mock her then Meiko and Emilia walk in. They tell Sarray to play by her rules and will learn her a few lessons. Meiko says they can walk into the ring with her and Sarray and they will teach them a lesson.

Sha Samuels vs Wolfgang

Wolf throws him around early and hits a nice armdrag. Wolf then lifts him up by the arm and drops him. Wolf tries to spear him and goes right into the buckles. Sha then single arm ddt's him on the arm that got rammed into the buckles. Sha elbows him then poses on him before kicking him in the arm.  Sha stomps on him in the corner and Dar takes some cheap shots with the newspaper.

Wolf and Sha trade shots then Wolf has his arm draped over the top. Sha then hits a big lariat for 2. Wolf sentons him and Sha works the shoulder. Dar interrupts Wolf up top. Wolf comes off the top then is hit with a spinebuster for 2. Wolf hits a huge spear. They fight up top and Sha drops down with Wolf's arm. Sha mostly misses a top rope frogsplash landing on Wolf's knees (he got them up).

Wolf hits some clotheslines then backdrops him. Dar gets on the apron and is booted in the face. Wolf then flips in and hits a giant spear on Sha and wins it in a cool finish.

This was a good match here with Wolf looking great, Dar being a nice jerk on the outside and Sha holding up his end with smart arm work. This is probably the best I have ever seen Wolf look and it's kind of been one I've been waiting to see him in.

Trent Seven is walking in the halls and is headed to the ring.

Trent comes out to explain himself. He shows a picture on the tron of him low blowing Tyler Bate and says it is the best low blow ever. He said it is the most important moment in British sports. Trent says Tyler Bate and says he is the center of attention now. Trent says it was Tyler that changed, not him. He said Tyler lost his will to win and is hugging trees. Trent says Tyler is not coming back to fight him. Trent says he is this brand and is Mustache Mountain. Trent then leaves and argues with fans on his way out. A "fan" jumps the barrier and gets escorted out by security then is knee'd. Trent then leaves.

It was fine and all, but you kind of know what to expect after you've seen these a few times.

Overall thoughts: Wolf/Sha was good and Emilia/Fallon was okay but not must see. It was okay but not a great show.
