Ice Ribbon 6/11/2022 - Ice Ribbon #1207
Exhibition Match - Kaho Matsushita vs. Arisa Shinose
They have a 5 minute time limit for this and the first pin/submission does not end this.
Arisa pulls her down for a pin attempt on their handshake. She hits osme weak shoulders and chest forearms. Kaho slams her for 2 and crossfaces her for the tap out.
Kaho misses a kick and gets rolled up then Arisa dropkicks her for 2. Arisa tries some pin attempts and is half-crabbed. Arisa hits a decent dropkick on her and the 5 minute time limit expires. Kaho wins the exhibition 1-0.
Arisa still didn't show much here but she hit exactly one good dropkick.
Yappy vs. Madeline
Yappy running shoulders Maddy and bearhugs her. Yappy drags her face across the top rope and kisses her for some reason. Yappy then sits on her neck in the corner. Yappy does awful head throws on her then sits on her back with a double reverse armbar.
Maddy hits some leg kicks on her then triangles her over the top rope after posing on the top rope. Yappy catches Maddy's crossbody and backbreakers her. Maddy then gets put on the 2nd rope and Yappy splashes her. Yappy then chokes her form the 2nd rope. Maddy catches her hip attack when they get back down and rolls her up for 2.
Maddy hits Yappy in the gut and legdrops her over the back then armbars her. Maddy runs the ropes and gets backdropped then Yappy bronco busters her against the bottom rope before legdropping her. Yappy puts Maddy on her shoulders and Maddy tries to block it but takes an airplane spin into a drop. Yappy goes for a chokeslam but Maddy rolls her up and wins it.
I didn't like this one that much. They didn't take this one seriously enough and I didn't like Madeline's offense here.
Yappy and Madline hug after and Yappy bearhugs her out of it.
Sumika Yanagawa vs. Yuko Sakurai
They do a knuckle lock early and trade arm wringers. Yuko side headlocks her and shoulders her over. Yuko then hair throws her and puts her knee on her chest in the corner. Yuko cobra twists her and Sumika rolls out just to get shoulderblocked. They trade chest forearms and Sumika hits a bad basement dropkick and a weak single leg dropkick after. Sumika then handstands into a knee drop and flips over her as she lays on her stomach into an indian deatlock. Yuko then ropebreaks and is put back in the indian deathlock and ropebreaks again.
Sumika double knees her against the ropes and Yuko slams her. Yuko gets her in a high dragon sleeper then grounds her with it. Sumika eventually ropebreaks and hits a spinning back roundhouse kick. Sumika then backcrackers her for 2. Yuko suplexes her then Sumika hits a spinning facebuster as the time limit expires.
This was better than I expected. It still wasn't great or anything but they did a lot of submissions here which are hard to mess up and make look bad and it really helped the match out. Both are limited workers but Yuko is definitely better than Sumika.
Amin & Totoro Satsuki vs Crea & Kaho Matsushita
Amin is Rina Amikura. She's going under that name in Ice Ribbon for some reason.
Totoro and Amin get jumped to start then Crea gets slammed and Kaho is slammed on top of her. Amin then climbs Totoro's back and they splash both opponents. Kaho puts her feet up for Amin's falling splash, it bounces her back and then she splashes her. Totoro then sits on Kaho and bow and arrows her. Totoro then stands on Kaho's back then Crea comes in and is stacked up on Kaho. Totoro then stands on both.
Kaho hits a devcent dropkick on Totoro then Crea running kicks Totoro. Totoro tries to power up and hits a nie chest forearm. Crea then facekicks her again for 2 and armbars her. Totoro then catches her for a slam and sentons her. Amin gets in and she shoulder battles with Crea. They trade chops and Crea machine gun chop flurries her. Crea then facekicks her through the ropes.
Kaho gets in and hits some dropkicks on Amin then Amin takes a double suplex. Amin comes back with a spinning chop on Kaho then Kaho its hung over the buckles and splashed. Amin then flipping sentons Kaho for 2 and takes a dropkick from Kaho. Kaho then sideslams her for 2.
Amin takes a superkick from Crea then a sitout gordbuster. Crea then holds Amin for a top rope Kaho dropkick. Kaho step up enzugiri's Amin and Amin comes back with a lariat. Amin side suplexes her for 2. Kaho takes a rolling fireman's carry slam from Totoro then Amin 2nd rope sentons Kaho for the win.
This really wasn't bad at all. Kaho and Totoro were good here though Crea had a bit of an off night.
ICExInfinity Title Tournament First Round Match - Tae Honma vs Asahi
Ice Ribbon has been having a tournament for the Ice Title. Unfortunately, almost all of it has been on PPV shows which no one has uploaded.
Asahi running lariats her to start then fights for an armbar and triangle. Tae then goes for some armbars and Asahi goes for one. Asahi arm wringers and drops Tae's arm over the top rope then top rope dropkicks her for 2. Asahi fujiwara armbars her then uses her legs to double reverse armbar her.
Asahi and Tae chest forearm each other and Tae hits a chest forearm flurry. Tae the forearm clubs her in the back of the head and Asahi chest forearm flurries her. Tae then goes for another fujiwara armbar then does a double reverse armbar with the leg pulled back too. Asahi ropebreaks.
Tae top rope dropkicks Asahi then Asahi goes for another fujiwara armbar. Asahi arm wringers her and rolls her into an unusual hammerlock on the mat. Asahi tries a pin attempt then northern lights suplexes her for 2. Tae then catches Asahi with an armbar attempt. Tae sits on her shoulder and armbars her. Tae then uses the elbow pad to pull on Asahi's arm further and win via submission.
This was a good match with both girls trying to get the armbar victory over the other. They focused on the arm almost the whole match and built up to the obvious armbar finish. Good stuff here.
Overall thoughts: The main event was good and one of the better Ice Ribbon matches in a while. The semi main was also decent but the rest wasn't anything special.
