Dramatic Dream Team 6/5/2022 - Dramatic Dream Tour 2022 In Chiba Only We x DDT

I am now an official member of the NOAH, TJPW and DDT Wrestle Universe. I didn't want to pay for the app, but people are not uploading DDT house shows anymore and I felt I had no choice.  Wrestle Universe is a nice app though and very easy to use.

I saw 5 of the 7 matches here.

Kaji Tomato & Naomi Yoshimura vs The 37KAMIINA (Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Ueno)

Kaji does what I have dubbed, "The Tomato Dance" upon his entrance. Kaji is just killing Naomi here by cracking him up.

Kaji avoids Shunma's attacks early then the two headlock takeover each other and get back up. Kaiji headlocks Shunma then shunma hits a nice dropkick. Ueno checks in and camel clutches Kaji while Shunma dropkicks him. Shunma yells in the ears of Kaji and Naomi. Kaji comes back with forearms on Shunma then Shunma pretends to throw something at him and Kaji jumps scared out of the ring.

Kaji and Ueno trade forearms and Kaji flying headscissors him. Naomi shoulders Ueno and slams him and Shunma. Naomi then bearhug belly to belly suplexes Ueno. Ueno goes for a backroll into a headscissors but it gets blocked then Ueno suplexes Naomi. Naomi then takes a combo enzugiri/flying hip in the corner then Shunma grabs both his arms from the top and M. Bison stomps him.

Shunma accidentally superkicks his own partner then enzugiri's and superkicks Naomi. Kaji gets back in and springboard dropkicks Shunma, then Shunma gives it right back. Kaji topes Ueno then Naomi lariats Shunma for 2. Naomi then hits a side throw and wins it over Shunma.

This wasn't anything too special. I don't really think it was the best match of anyone involved and they had a simple finish.

HARASHIMA & Masahiro Takanashi vs MAO & Yusuke Okada

Harash and Mao miss strikes early then Mao rolls into a leglock on him. They mat wrestle then do a stand off. Masa and Okada then go at it and Okada forearms him off the break. Harasha hits pendulum knees on Okada. Okada and Harash trade forearms then face kick each other at the same time.

Masa comes in and gets slammed by Okada. Mao then gets in and footchokes Masa and fist drops him. Mao shotgun dropkicks him then hits a running palm stirke for 2. Masa spins Mao and Mao cartwheels out of a hair throw. Masa then suplexes him. Harash gets in and rider kicks Mao then springboard crossbodies him for 2.

Okada gets in and forearm flurries Harash. Okada suplexes him then top rope dropkicks him. Okada gets stuck up top and Harash superplexes him off the top. Harash then springboard splashes Okada and hits a gorilla press gutbuster. Harash superkicks his own partner then takes a wild corkscrew kick from Mao. Okada then top rope headbutts Harash for 2.

Harash high kicks and poisonrana's him, then hiuts a meteora for the win.

It was fine. Nothing too crazy here or anything and it ended at about the right time. Okada did a few more top rope moves than usual and Mao was a little off with his kicks.

 Daisuke Sasaki vs Hiroshi Yamato

Yamato sang on his way to the ring. Yamato tries to reverse  a hiptoss with an armdrag but Sasaki cartwheels out of it. Yamato then hits a flying double chop. Yamato hits bad strikes then Sasaki rolls out and grabs a chair. Sasaki dragon screws Yamato while he is in the ropes. Sasaki then dragon screws him again. Yamato gets tripped into an ankle lock.

Yamato comes back and hits a nice russian legsweep, then suplexes him. Sasaki then comes back with a ddt. They fight on the top rope and Yamato hits a very rare belly to belly spider suplex. Yamato then drop kicks him off the top and hits a hard tope outside on him.

Sasaki goes for a spinning headscissors but gets ddt'd. Yamato takes a ddt then gets back up and the two trade spears without selling. Sasaki superkicks him then Yamato lariats him right back. Sasaki flips out of his german then hits la mistica into a crossface for the Sasaki win.

I was bored by this. They picked it up a little in the 2nd half but they didn't sell much at all. These two were just not a great match.

Burning (Jun Akiyama & Tetsuya Endo) & Kazusada Higuchi vs Eruption (Hideki Okatani & Yukio Sakaguchi) & Yuki Ishida

Higuchi and Yukio mat wrestle to start. Oka hits some forearms on Endo then Endo running forearms him only to get one right back. Endo then hits another running forearm.

Jun and Yuki scream at each other and shoulder battle. Yuki wins that one then Jun slams him. Yuki gets beat up for a bit and takes chops in the corner. Endo then machine gun chops Yuki as he screams. Yuki gets slammed and Higuchi abdominal stretches him.

Yuki runs into a Jun kick for 2. He hits all 3 of his opponents in the corner with forearms but Higuchi stops him with a headbutt. Jun then piledrives him for 2 and stomps on him. Ishida flying shoulders him and tags to Oka. Oka hits a nice forearm flurry on Jun then 2nd rope dropkicks him.

Endo gets in and springboard forearms Oka then suplexes him. Oka flapjacks Endo then takes a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Yukio finally gets in and trades kicks for chops with Higuchi. Higuchi drops him with a double chop then hits a stiff lariat. Higuchi runs at him and takes a flying triangle then he deadlift sitout powerbombs him out of it. Yukio then hits a nice flying pump knee on Higuchi.

Oka and Yuki hit running corner moves on Higuchi then Yuki hits a stiff battering ram to a seated Higuchi. Higuchi hits a stiff double clothesline that Oka does a nice flip for. Higuchi powerslams Yuki then Endo does a nice outside to inside 2nd rope moonsault on Yuki. Endo hits a bad cutter on Yuki as he sits on Higuchi's knee then Higuchi does a weird step over the top rope 2nd rope springboard elbow on Yuki. Higuchi then brain claw slams Yuki to win it.

This was a little one-sided, but it was a good 20 minute trios match. Lots of stiff action here from both sides. Yuki was a decent face and got the crap beaten out of him.

Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya & Quiet Storm vs General Okamoto & Kenichiro Arai & Hoshitango

Hino and crew attack at the bell. Shogun gets thrown out then Naya and Tango go face to face. Tango shoulders him over then Shogun and Storm trade forearms. Arai chairs Storm in the back then Hino chairs Arai. Arai and Hino fight to the back then Arai comes out with a barbed wire bat and Hino backs up.

Arai misses a bat shot and they fight over it. Arai begs off of Storm then gets low blowed. shogun slams a table on Storm's back then knocks his opponents off the apron with it. Shogun then butt drops Storm off the apron through a table. Tango then suplexes Storm onto a stack of chairs.

Arai pulls out some carpet with rock shaped things on it and Arai gets backdropped on it. Storm lariats Shogun and Tango then Hino and Naya help out. Arai gets slammed by Hino then takes an elbow by Naya and a Hino senton for 2. Arai gets his bare feet dropped on the rock carpet.

Hino and Shogun trade chops then Shogun knocks him over. Hino gets thrown off the top rope by Shogun then is chokeslammed onto the rock carpet. Arai then tries to double stomp Hino through the rock carpet but misses and lands feet first. Hino then takes a double shoulder from Shogun and Tango. Tango gets chaired in the back and the head by Storm and Naya. Tango then gets double backdropped off the bottom rope. Hino then top rope frogsplashes a chair pile onto Tango and wins it.

I didn't expect to like this at all, but it was a fun little brawl. The camera's were right up in the ring here and you could really hear and see all the bumps well which made it better. It wasn't some genius match or anything but just big dudes hitting each other with stuff.

Overall thoughts: Not a bad night at all for DDT. The main and semi-main were good and the rest of it wasn't too offensive.
