Dragon Gate 3/3/2022

I skipped two matches here.

Gold Class made their official debut as a unit to start the show.

Z-Brats interrupted Natural Vibes' dance and the match started.

Z-Brats (KAI, Diamante and BxB Hulk) vs Natural Vibes (Jacky Kamei, Kzy and Big Boss Shimizu)

Jacky headscissors Hulk and Diamante/Kzy mess up a spot. Dia hits a bunch of armdrags. Kzy crossbodies him from the 2nd rope and euro uppercuts him. Shimizu double shoulders Brats then Hulk gets double shouldered. Hulk has his legs wide open apart from each other on the mat and Shimizu pushes forward on him and cranks the neck. Jacky takes a double gorilla press then Hulk standing moonsaults him. Jacky then takes a ddt from Kai for 2.

Diamante springboard dropkicks Jacky. Dia popped up Jacky but he dropkicked him. Shimizu hits a nice flying shoulder on Hulk and Hulk does a double spin sell for it. Kzy then springboard tope con hilos off the 2nd rope outside onto multiple people.

Jacky hits his kick flurry on Kai then runs up the buckles and bulldogs him. Kai eye pokes Shimizu then they lariat battle. Kai chairs Shimizu in the gut but Shimizu body blocks the chair into him. The ref tries to grab the chair but Shimizu throws him off then chairs everyone for the DQ loss. Shimizu kept attacking Kai with the chair after.

Starting shows off with a DQ is a really weird thing and hurt an otherwise fun little match.

Dragon Dia and Yuki Yoshioka vs Takuma Fujiwara and La Estrella

TF and Dia go to the mat. TF then hits a nice back elbow. Estrella handstands then tries to backflip into a headscissors, but he misses and it is stopped then he hits some armdrags. Dia hits headscissors out of the corner on TF then Yuki hits slams on TF. TF and Dia trade forearms and Dia running SSP's TF. Yuki then hits a big back drop on TF.

TF springboard dropkicked Yuki then Estrella did a springboard double back elbow. TF hit a decent dropkick on Dia then Dia hurricanrana'd him. Did did a handspring back elbow in the corner on TF then Dia and Yuki did a double team bulldog from the buckles.

Dia did a plancha on TF on the outside and Yuki did a nice jumping clothesline on Estrella. Yuki then got the win with a top rope codebreaker.

This was a fun fast paced match with Dia and TF looking good as usual.

Jason Lee vs Shun Skywalker

Shun wants a handshake and Dia slaps his hand but both try to attack the other. Lee hits a fast basement dropkick then hammers on him with forearms in the corner. Shun hits a nice DDT and kips up. Shun footchokes him outside then ties him up inside and they trade shots.

Lee hits hard forearms then is double chopped down. Shun banged Lee's head off the turnbuckle and slapped him hard a few times. Lee then fires up and takes him down and fires on him. Lee hits a great dropkick and cutters him. Lee goes for a top rope move but Shun counters with a dropkick.

Shun hits a side uranage and moonsault knees him for 2. Shun hits a nice step kick then double underhook bombs him for 2. Shun then hits his SSW spinning blue thunder and wins it.

This was a good one. They used to be partners in Masquerade and showed their bad blood over it. They were stiff and methodical and did things you would expect two people who don't like each other to do.

Shun berates him after the match and says Lee is nothing without him. Lee gets slapped and threatened and Ho-Ho Lun comes down to help. Z-Brats bullies him away then High End come out to help him. Lee then gets invivted to join High End.

Natural Vibes then comes out and fights over Lee with High End. They argue over who Lee is joining with Shun saying Lee belongs to him. GM Ryo Siato comes out. He's clearly annoyed by all of this and yells at Shun to shut up, who has been going on during all of this. Shun still argues his case though. Ryo announces a 3-way with the winner getting Jason Lee. This was a strange and amusing segment.

Eita and Yosuke Santa Maria vs HYO and SB Kento

Eita took forever to come out as usual and Yosuke got beat up 2v1. Yosuke goes into the exposed buckle then takes a splash from SB. Hyo footslaps Yosuke. Yosuke makes a combo and tries to squat on SB's face then dropkicks SB.

SB hits a nice spinebuster on Eita then Eita gets hit with the box lid. Yosuke gets in the way of SB hitting Eita then Eita gets the box lid and hits SB. Yosuke then grabs the quick pin on SB.

This was mostly about the Eita/Yosuke pairing. Yosuke wants to team up with Eita and Eita doesn't want to. The worked the storyline well but it's not a story I'm interested in. The Z-Brats stack up some chairs, rip off Yosuke's skirt then slam him on the chairs. The beatdown continues and Eita argues over what to do. Eita eventually comes in for the save. Yosuke begs Eita to team up and Eita eventually does. Yosuke wants them to go for the twin gate titles then Yuki and Dia (the champs) come out. SBK and Hyo then say they want a shot at the titles too

Gold Class (Kota Minoura, Kaito Ishida and Naruki Doi) vs HIGH END (Yamato, Keisuke Okuda and Ben-K)

Gold Class is wearing all shiny gold and is looking cool doing it. This is their official debut under the name., though they have been teaming up already.

Slow start here until Doi comes off the top and gets caught with a Ben belly to belly. Ben then clotheslines down the other GC members. The match then continues to be slow with Doi getting beaten. Okuda mocks Doi's weak slaps then gets backdropped. Minoura suplexes Yamato and Ben.

Ishida and Okuda trade fast forearms then high kick each other at the same time and Kota goes down. Minorua drops Okuda onto Doi then Okuda gets double ezugiri'd and german'd for the win.

This was slow and not the offical debut Gold Class needed to get over. 

Overall thoughts: A really storyline heavy show, sometimes to the detriment of the show. The main wasn't very good and brought down some of the good stuff on the show.
