Sendai Girls 11/23/2021

Sendai Girls 11/23/2021

I always thought Jaja Uma meant some weird submission rules....nope. It just means tomboy. And the Uma part means horse, which I knew. This tournament has a bunch of younger wrestlers from the various joshi promotions.

Jaja Uma 2021 Tournament First Round Match - Madeline vs. Yurika Oka

Mad kicks her in the gut off the handshake. They trade shots and Mad leg kicks her down. Mad walks up up the ropes, poses and hanging armbars her. Oka comes back with a bulldog and some dropkicks. Oka hits a crossbody off the 2nd rope then Mad moves when she tries it again. Oka puts her in a single leg crab then pulls her hair on it too.

Mad picks her up like a piledrive and then throws her like a suplex. Oka crossbodies her then gets a surprise roll up for a pin out of nowhere.

The finish was random and Mad isn't particularly good. The match was also rather short, limiting what they could do.

Jaja Uma 2021 Tournament First Round Match - Riko Kaiju vs. Kanon

Riko dropkicks her to start then slams her and Kanon returns the dropkick. Kanon throws her into the ropes then brings the ropes back to fling her. Kanon then camel clutches her.

Kanon dropkicks her in the corner then tries it again and takes a dropkick to the face. Riko hits a big slam and arm throws her into an armbar. She then wraps Kanon's arm around her throat and bridges for a choke. Riko then puts her in the camel clutch and gives her some fist and elbow noogies!

They trade forearms and Kanon hits a nice dropkick. She then is on the apron and jumps over for another nice dropkick. Kanon then springboard dropkicks her for 2. Riko hits a big dropkick. We get more dropkicks from Kanon and another 2.

Kanon hits a beautiful suplex into a bridging pin for 2 then gets hit with another dropkick. Riko top rope crossbodies her and hits another dropkick for 2. Riko hits a great northern lights suplex with a bridge for the win.

Both of the girls did well but I don't know if I ever want to see another dropkick after that. This had no right to be as good as it was and they did a great job.

Jaja Uma 2021 Tournament First Round Match - Haruka Umesaki vs Chie Ozora

Chie rolls her up to start and they trade dropkicks. Haruka double stomps her then hair throws her. Haruka gets a slam in but is dropkicked soon after. Chie then double reverse armbars here while she is between the ropes. Chie then dropkicks her while she's there.

They trade forearms to the chest and Chie armbars her over the top rope. Chie puts her in cattle mutilation then 2nd rope dropkicks her. Haruka comes back with two dropkicks then some bad slingblade variation.

Haruka misses a top rope dropkick and Chie fisherman's suplexes her. Chie does it again for another 2. They trade pinfall attempts and Chie sunset flips her from the 2nd rope. Haruka suplexes her then top rope dropkicks her for 2. Haruka then hits a cross-armed northern lights suplex for the win.

There were a ton of dropkicks here and it was just basic rookies stuff for the most part.

Jaja Uma 2021 Tournament First Round Match - Ami Miura vs Ai Houzan

they shake and Ai won't let go. Ai then hits a bunche of chest forearms and Ami blocks a hair throw. She then hits some forearms on her and hair throws her. Ai hits more corner forearms then stomps on Ami's feet.

Ami hits some corner chops and splashes her. Ai hits a dropkick for 2 then Ami hits a big slam. Ai crossbodies her but can't pin her. Ami crabs her and Ai backslides her for 2. Ami double chops her then puts her in a high angle crab but Ai rope breaks out. Ami splashes her against the ropes then hits a big dropkick on her for 2. Ami puts her in the torture rack and wins via tap out.

This was alright. Mostly just a rookies style match but Ai showed a lot of energy here and Ami was fine.

Hiroyo Matsumoto vs Manami vs Sakura Hirota

Manami did a big dance for her entrance and they did a three person test of strength which Manami lost. Manami monkey flipped both opponents then got chopped and went down as she had Hirota in an indian deathlock. Manami got splashed in the corner then tripped on top of Hiroyo. Hirota then kancho'd both of them.

Hirota tried a tope but couldn't make it through the ropes (it was a comedy spot) then she tope'd Hiroyo. Manami top rope dropkicked Hiroyo for 2. She traded strikes with Hiroyo then took a hard spinning back elbow. Hirota tried a springboard but slipped and fell then Manami hit a big knee for 2.

Hiroyo suplexed Manami. Hiroyo was thrown off the top as Hirota kancho'd Manami. Hirota then failed to suplex Hiroyo as Hiroyo fell back on her. Hirota tried to kancho Manami but got Hiroyo then Manami kancho'd Hirota to form a train.

Hiroyo went for a powerbomb but was kancho'd and Manami got out. Hiroyo double backdropped Manami and Hirota. Hiroyo hit 2 lariats on Manami for 2 then release backdropped her for the win.

This was pretty much all comedy.

Sendai Girls Tag Team Title Match - Andras Miyagi & Hibiki (c) vs. Team 200kg (Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu)

Yuu has put on some serious weight since I last saw her, and she was a big girl to begin with.

Andras and CH wrestle but nothing much happens then Hibiki and Yuu shoulder battle. CH hits a big slam on Hibiki then senton atomico's her for 2. CH hits some forearms and they go outside, where Hibiki hits her with a traffic cone. Andras then does a weak suplex on Yuu on the stage. Hibki pounds on CH outside and CH and Yuu get whipped into each other, but pose once they do. The heels then hit them with more traffic cones. Andras and Hibiki stomp CH then she bites on their feet.

CH is tripped into the middle rope and Andras throws a cone at her face. Andras slaps her around and boots her in the face a few times. Hibiki then comes up from behind and  sleepers her. CH deadlift suplexes Andras and Yuu comes in and shoulders them. She then lines them up and chops them. Hibiki puts a cone on Yuu's head then Andras dropkicks it. Hibiki paintbrushes her and Yuu spinning sideslams her for 2. Yuu and CH double boston crab their opponents then pose. Yuu splashes Hibiki for 2.

Hibiki and CH trade nice chest forearms then Hibiki is double shoulderblocked. Yuu splashes Hibiki and CH splashes her back while she is on Hibiki. CH and Yuu both go up top then CH is thrown on Yuu from the top. Hibiki then hits a spear on CH for 2. CH and Hibiki trade lariats. CH is down near the apron and Hibiki splashes her back. Andras then topes both opponents. Hibiki hit two sliding lariats then backdropped CH. She then hit a sky high on her. Hibiki then senton'd her from the top for 2.

Hibki hit a last ride powerbomb on CH for 2 then CH came back with a big release german. Yuu cannonball'd both opponents in the corner then Yuu and CH sandwiched Hibiki and double chokeslammed her. CH hit a big lariat for 2 on Hibiki. Yuu hit a top rope senton and CH won it with a top rope senton atomico.

This went a few minutes longer than it needed to and they maybe overdid it some, but it was a rare and fun girls heavyweight match with lots of fat wrestler moves.

Overall thoughts: The tournament matches were limited due to the rookie style and time limits. They weren't bad but all the dropkicks got old. The comedy three way was exactly that and the main event was a fun big girl match.
