Rob Conway vs Orlando Jordan

"Jordan calls himself the greatest athlete named Jordan in the world. I dunno whether I can believe that but he's tryin' to make the Iron Man a believer here." - Jim Cornette

Rob Conway beat Orlando Jordan with a neckbreaker in about 3 minutes. Quick but both guys looked fine here and they made the most of their time. Jordan worked the arm and shoulder of Conway, before Conway made a quick comeback and won.

Mark Henry and BJ Payne were collecting donations in the crowd.

We got some highlights of the OVW Tag Title match from the week before with Tyson Tomko aka Travis Bane and Seven vs Lance Cade and Rene Dupree:

Bane got the pin on Rene Dupree with a wild finish. Both teams managers came in and Seven cracked Dupree with a crutch to win.

Bolin Services came out:

"Matt, the offer is still on the table and there's always going to be a window on at the BS house for you." - Kenny Bolin on Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan apparently turned down an invitation to join Bolin Services.

"What? A RAISE?" - Kenny Bolin
Rene Dupree blamed the tag title loss last week on the guy in green, named Kroney and asked that he be fired from Bolin Services, while his personal assistant, Maurice, get a raise. Bolin didn't like this.

"Peanut head got whooped by a girl last week." - Kroney on Maurice
"Now Kenny, you're our manager. I need you to do your job and get us a rematch. Rene and I, we'll do our job and we'll win the titles. Morris, Kroney, I need you two to do your jobs...whatever the hell that is and just stay out of our way. And Nurse Lulu...I'm gonna need to speak with you in private." - Lance Cade
Nova and Mark Jindrak vs The Disciples of Sinn - Travis Bane and Seven

"Last week in a choice of the gas chamber or the electric chair, a lot of the fans in the Davis Arena were actually cheering for the Disciples to win." - Cornette

The finish
The Disciples of Sinn picked up the win with their finishing maneuver. Good match. The pace was pretty quick here. Jindrak looked like superman out there and looked like a super prospect while Bane/Tomko just did a great job all around. Nova was real frantic to the point of being sloppy. This was a lot of fun.

Cornette announced Kane vs Matt Morgan in a respect match.

"Who better to get into the ring against than the epitome of what every big man strives to be like, Kane, himself. Kane is at the top of that mountain of WWE stardom as we speak. Kane is where I wanna be. Kane is where I will be." - Matt Morgan

"I'm not coming out just for a good showing. I'm here to show him and everyone else why I am the next big blueprint in professional wrestling. I'm coming out for the win." - Matt Morgan | "If you upset Kane at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, your career will be made and you know that." - Cornette

"You're not gonna get a break from any referees." - Kenny Bolin
Bolin came out. He said the fans are going to cheer the big star Kane and the ref is going to give Kane all the calls in the ring. Bolin said he will make Morgan a star and watch out for him if he joins up with him.

"All I need is me and not your stinkin' Bolin Services." - Matt Morgan
This was probably the best Morgan promo I've seen. I always heard Jim talk about how Morgan was a good talker and a great prospect and here you could really see that. He was quite likeable here and was a really good babyface. Where was this Matt Morgan the rest of his career?

Matt Morgan vs Mark Magnus and Chris Cage
Magnus would go on to be Muhammad Hassan and Cage would be Caylen Croft, who was Trent Baretta's partner in The Dudebusters

"I believe Cage and Magnus need more backup to take on this one man." - Cornette

"Mark Magnus nearly went into orbit. He got a nosebleed." - Cornette

"A double bearhug. He got both these 220 pounders in the air. Matt Morgan is nearly unstoppable." - Cornette

"What? He's disqualified Matt Morgan for Bolin's interference!" - Cornette
"What he did was cost Matt Morgan his first defeat in Ohio Valley Wrestling." - Jim Cornette
Caylen Croft and Mark Magnus beat Matt Morgan by DQ when Kenny Bolin purposely cost Morgan the match. Jim Cornette really put over Morgan here and he looked the part. This was all about putting over Morgan and setting up the storyline with Bolin.
"Mr. Wrestling" Nick Dinsmore and Bradshaw ripped the Revolution for getting in their business and they said they aren't going anywhere.

The Damaja aka Danny Basham said Dinsmore could take on one member of the Revolution and get his title back if he won. However, The Damaja brought in a new member.

They brought out Big Bad John aka Heidenreich and cut to the match.
Dinsmore picked up the win and we saw a big brawl:

The Damaja and The Machine argued about how to take out Nick Dinsmore tonight. Kanyon said he would be the one to take out Dinsmore.

The Revolution - The Damaja, The Machine and Kanyon vs Johnny Jeter, Nick Dinsmore and Bradshaw

Kanyon hit a steel chair shot to Jeter's knee early on | "He Paul Bunyan'd that man right in the knee." - Cornette

"Folks, let's face it. It's 3 on 2." - Cornette

The finish
The Machine beat Nick Dinsmore with a german. Action packed, fast-paced 3v2 match here. Nothing too special or out of the ordinary, just the heels taking control until the faces made the hot tag and we went to the finish. Decent stuff but I would have had Bradshaw be the hot tag here, not Dinsmore.

The heels 3v1'd Bradshaw and Dinsmore before Conway cleared them out with a bat to close the show.

Overall thoughts: Good show. Everything made sense, nothing was bad and everything was rather action packed. Cornette's announcing was fine all show and this was all around good stuff. It's sad knowing though that WWE screwed the careers of just about everyone on this show.
