Sumo September Aki Basho 2013 Day 3

Sumo September Aki Basho 2013 Day 3

J13w    Akiseyama (1-1)   vs  J12w    Takanoyama (1-1)
This was a slapboxing match with Akise saying aw heck with it and going for the charge. Tak went to the side and hooked on, putting Akise down first. Nice move and it was cool to see Tak bully a guy twice his size.

J2e     Takanoiwa (1-1) vs    J4e     Osunaarashi (1-1)
This was a straight power match with Osuna getting the edge and putting out Taka.

M13e    Endo (1-1) vs   M14e    Masunoyama (1-1)
End got put on the edge and he simply held on longer making Masuno fall first to get the win.

M11w    Tochinowaka (1-1) vs M10w    Shotenro (1-1)
Back and forth match here with Toch being in trouble then putting the pressure back on Shotenro and putting him out.
M2w     Aoiyama (0-2) vs   O1w     Kakuryu (2-0)
Aoi tried to lay on Kak and he simply just went to the side, putting Aoi down.
O1e     Kisenosato (2-0) vs   M2e     Okinoumi (1-1)
Okinoumi got the upset here despite being overpowered for the majority of it. There was a ton of stalling but near the end Kisen went for a throw and got off balance. Oki then drove him back for the win.
M3w     Chiyotairyu (0-2) vs  O2w     Kotooshu (2-0)
Koto got the better tachi-ai and bearhugged Chiyo out for the easy win.
O2e     Kotoshogiku (2-0) vs  M3e     Takarafuji (0-2)
Koto did his usual underbelt grip and simply pulled Takara back for the easy win.
M1w     Ikioi (0-2) vs  Y1w     Harumafuji (1-1)
This was just a quick one with lots of slapping and quick pushes until Iki took the worst of it and went out.
Y1e     Hakuho (2-0) vs    M1e     Shohozan (1-1)
Bad loss here for Sho. Haku was bounching Sho off him and finally, he effortlessly pushed Sho, causing him to fall down right on his face.

 Rankings:

Overall thoughts: Pretty average day today. Nothing too noteworthy except Hakuho basically has this won already by the third day.
