NJPW Kizuna Road 7/14/2013 Review

NJPW Kizuna Road 7/14/2013 Review

I'll be reviewing selected matches from this show.

Hirooki Goto and Yuji Nagata vs Yujiro Takahashi and YOSHI-HASHI

Nagata got the win over Yoshi with a backdrop. Nagata looked the best he looked in a while here and Yoshi was decent. This was okay but really nothing special.

Tetsuya Naito, La Sombra & Tomoaki Honma vs Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & Masato Tanaka

Okada beat Honma with the Rainmaker Elbow. Good match here. The crowd was into it and the faces made some really nice comebacks. Sombra held nothing back and Honma was a good sympathetic face. Rating:***1/4

Elimination Match - New Japan Army (Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, Manabu Nakanishi, Jushin 'Thunder' Liger & Captain New Japan) vs BULLET CLUB (Prince Devitt, Karl Anderson, El Terrible, Tama Tonga & Bad Luck Fale)

Anderson took out Nakanishi with a cutter out of nowhere.
Liger then took out Terrible with a palm strike.

Liger then went out after a missed palm strike and a Tonga dropkick.

Makabe took out Tonga with a flying knee.

Fale straight up tossed Makabe out by the throat.

Anderson eliminates himself and Tanahashi

Prince Devitt took out Captain NJ with a high angle DDT. This wasn't that good. NJ was in there too much and people got eliminated without doing much of all. The first half was almost all comedy too so this is pretty skippable.
