WWE NXT 5/8/2013 Results and Review

Last week's show is here: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/05/wwe-nxt-512013-results-and-review.html

Damien Sandow vs Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin has to be a rib on Darren Corbin.

Damien Sandow hits The Silencer
Damien Sandow won with a new move he calls "The Silencer". It is a Cobra-Clutch Side Effect. This was all squash her and wasn't interesting at all. The only moves Corbin got in were a few shoulder blocks.

Damien Sandow announced he was challenging Big E Langston for the NXT title after.

Paige vs Bayley

Paige won with the Paige-Turner. The match was okay but really nothing very special. Paige showed some good energy at times but that is about it here.

Summer Rae came out and hit Paige with one shot to the back to put her down.

"If you think that's impressive, you should see my yo-yo collection. You know what I mean?" - Big E Langston in response to Tom Phillips talking about his victories
Langston got Sandow to do some math problem with the answer to it being 5. He then yelled "5" a bunch of times while Sandow looked perplexed.

Sakamoto vs Briley Pierce
I haven't seen either guy in a while. Briley Pierce is Dolph Ziggler's brother.

"The brother of the show-off, Briley Pierce, showing Dolph Ziggler-esque moves." - Tony Dawson acknowledging that Pierce is Ziggler's brother.

Ugh

This went to a no-contest as Conor O'Brian interfered. I blame myself for this. The other day I was thinking, "He's gone, he's finally gone!" and now he's back. Ugh. He did a bunch of flapjacks and the usual WWE big man offense to clear out both guys.

Pierce said Conor O'Brien made the biggest mistake of his life. Sakamoto had what appeared to be a marshmallow up his nose and I think said that he wants to do a handicap match with Pierce against O'Brian next week.

Kassius Ohno vs Camacho
This is the first time we have seen Camacho in a long long time. He just got back from a wrist injury and his partner Hunico returned during Wrestlemania weekend, so I guess they will be paired together again soon.

"Have I introduced you to my friend _____ the sword swallowing hunchback?" - William Regal - I couldn't make out the name.
Kassius Ohno hits a roaring headbutt

The Kassius Klutch
Kassius Ohno won with a Kassius Klutch(double arm trap inverted chinlock). Good match here. Camacho looked impressive and really strong. Kassius busted out some different moves that we haven't seen from him before. He looked more like the Chris Hero of old than the current day Kassius Ohno, which is a good thing. This wasn't quite *** but was really close to it. I'd be up for a rematch.

"These last few months have been such a blur that I don't even know who I am anymore. William Regal, I don't expect you to believe this, but I'm sorry." - Kassius Ohno

Kassius Ohno appeared to turn face after a stare down with The Wyatt Family. He took a reverse STO from Wyatt to end the segment.

They announced Big E Langston vs Damien Sandow for the NXT Title next week.

NXT Tag Team Championship - Adrian Neville and Bo Dallas vs The Wyatt Family - Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

The Wyatt Family won the NXT Tag Team Titles with a spinning lariat from Luke Harper. The match was good a times but not consistently good throughout. Bo was okay but the crowd didn't like him and when you have Bo in there instead of Neville it is kind of a let down. The heels were decent here and Neville looked on a completely different level than anyone else in this. He also took a nice apron bump into the rails.

Overall thoughts: The show was pretty good as a whole. Everything was at worst passable and most of it was good.
