TNA Impact Wrestling 2/21/2013 Review

TNA Impact Wrestling 2/21/2013 Review

Last week's show is here: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/02/tna-impact-wrestling-2142013-review.html

I did not see the first 15 minutes due to family issues.

Roode, Daniels, Aries and Kaz vs Hernandez, Chavo, Joseph Park and James Storm
The faces won with a Park splash from the middle rope. The match was disappointing. There was too much screwing around and it never picked up.

Robbie E vs Rockstar Spud
Spud won with an upset rollup. T wouldn't give E a weapon and Spud got the fluke win off of it.

E slapped T after the match and T tore off his shirt to end their team.

Knockouts Title - Elimination Match - Velvet Sky vs Gail Kim vs Tara vs Miss
Tessmacher

Tara gets eliminated
Sky then pinned Tessmacher after.
The finish
Velvet Sky got the win with a sit out pedigree. The match was pretty good at points and was never really bad. The crowd was into it and there was a lot of different action going on.

They said they would have an update on AJ Styles next week.

Garrett Bischoff vs Samoa Joe
They brought up Samoa Joe taking the facewash from Shinjiro Ohtani.
Samoa Joe won by DQ when Wes Brisco ran in. This was just a long squash and not an interesting one at that. Kurt Angle made the save.
Angle announced him vs Wes Brisco at Lockdown in a cage.

X Division Title - RVD vs Kenny King

RVD got the win with the frogplash. The match was decent but they had better. Nothing really wrong with this one, just a lot of high flying and spinning moves. You know what you are getting here and it wasn't bad.

Ace's and 8's vs Hulk Hogan, Sting and Bully Ray
Hulk Hogan never came out so Ace's started without him.
Aces got the win when Doc pinned Sting. The match wasn't bad but the bait and switch with Hogan not wrestling due to Ace's capturing him was lame. Hulk is old but I was looking forward to his match and I'm sure others were as well. That brought it down for me

Overall thoughts: The main was a total bait and switch but the rest was alright. the main blew the show though.
