AJPW 1/2/2012 - Suwama vs Daisuke Sekimoto
This is an interpromotional battle here as Suwama is from All Japan and Sekimoto is from Big Japan. This is the first time these two have met in a singles match. Sekimoto is only about 5'8 but he's huge and is one of the most reliable wrestlers in Japan as well as Big Japan's heavyweight kind. Suwama is an okay big man and does fine but he doesn't really stand out that much and if him and Sekimoto switched places and height, Sekimoto would absolutely clown him. However, Suwama is over 6'2, is in a bigger company and has an amateur wrestling background so he's more of the star here.

The finish |
Suwama beat Daisuke Sekimoto with the Last Ride in 19:44. Heck of a match here but Suwama was really just along for the ride. Sekimoto rarely has bad matches and is one of the most versatile wrestlers out there. This was your king of the monsters type heavyweight battle and was rather good. The heat was great, Sekimoto was into it and Suwama was fine. I think that the wrong person won here and I think Sekimoto didn't get the respect he deserved from the booking of it, but it was still good. This is worth a look for some solid and basic heavyweight wrestling. Rating:***1/2
