WWE Superstars 9/28/2012 Review

WWE Superstars 9/28/2012 Review

Last week's show is here: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/wwe-superstars-9202012.html

Superstars has now moved to Fridays and to Hulu+(paid subscription), so it's going to take me a day or so to get to this unfortunately.

Heath Slater vs Yoshi Tatsu
Heath Slater won with a reverse DDT. Slater controlled the early portion of this then Yoshi got a short takeover segment. However, after Yoshi missed the spin kick from the top(shown above), he hit a reverse DDT for the win. This was okay but no great story here or anything remarkable. I'd like to Yoshi be more like WCW Muta than WWE's Funaki, but I don't think it's happening. A pay day is a pay day though. Rating:*1/2

Yoshi Tatsu got a beat down after the match from Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre:
Yoshi Tatsu takes a Futureshock DDT
Ted Dibiase vs Michael McGillicutty
Ted Dibiase beat Michael McGillicutty with the DreamStreet. This was a decent match. Very back and forth here and McGilli was decent. I also liked Dibiase's counter dropkick to McGilli's top rope dropkick. This was a little short though. I would have liked a longer match. Rating:*1/2

Layla vs Eve
Striker said: "I'm putting my money on Bo or Blake Beverly. I think they attacked Kaitlyn".
Layla got the win after the moonsault that Eve kind of hit with a kick to the head. This was a decent match. Nice moves here by Eve. Looking forward to seeing what she can come up with next. This was pretty short though. I'm not sure if Layla hit much else besides the kick to be honest as this was all Eve. Rating:***

Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler
I believe Vickie Guerrero got implants.
Nice tights
Ziggler got the win with a weak Zig-Zag. This ws a decent match. The crowd was really into it, Kofi sold the leg well and Dolph was really smart. Everything pretty much worked here and if you like these two, you probably want to check this out.Rating:*3/4

Overall thoughts: Everything was pretty good here. A few of the matches were too short, but there was still lots of quality everywhere. Probably worth a look if you can find it.
