Sumo Nagoya Basho 2013 Day 2

Sumo Nagoya Basho 2013 Day 2

Kyokutaisei(0-0) vs Byakko
Byakko went under Kyoku and Kyoku used that to get him near the edge and throw him out.

J13w    Endo (1-0) vs  J12w    Wakakoyu (1-0)

Endo won and looked really good here. He worked the belt well and Waka had nothing for him, even though he's bigger.

J11w    Takanoyama (0-1) vs  J10w    Tokushinho (0-1)

Tak got easily overpowered and really lost here but I think his opponent stepped out before him. Judges didn't care and things aren't looking good for Tak. I have a bag feeling the third division is calling his name.

J9w     Osunaarashi (1-0) vs J8w     Satoyama (1-0)

Sato went low, Osuna grabbed him in a quarter nelson and pushed him out for an easy win.

J3w     Tochinowaka (0-1) vs  J2w     Kyokushuho (1-0)

Kyoku stepped out for an easy Tochino win.

M13w    Jokoryu (1-0)   vs M12w    Kotoyuki (0-1)

Jo lost bad on the tachi-ai and went out without much of a fight.

O1e     Kisenosato (1-0) vs  K1w     Tokitenku (0-1)

Toki bent too far forward and Kisen threw him down.

M2e     Tochiozan (1-0)  vs  O2w     Kotooshu (1-0)

Koto pushed forward and Tochi basically walked out for an easy loss.

O2e     Kakuryu (0-1)  vs  M2w     Gagamaru (0-1)

Kaku shook his hips when Gaga grabbed his belt and literally shook him off for the win.

K1e     Shohozan (0-1)  vs O1w     Kotoshogiku (1-0)

Sho was overpowered early for an easy loss.

Y1e     Hakuho (1-0)   vs M1w     Takayasu (0-1)

Taka put up a good fight and almost surprised Hakuho with a throw early. However, Haku got his grips in and Taka fought to stay up before doing down.

M1e     Takekaze (0-1)  vs Y1w     Harumafuji (1-0)

Take was out from the start with Haru knocking him off balance and getting an easy one.
